Suncrest was highly recommended by the stroke rehabilitation hospital my mother was in after her stroke. I can't say enough positive things about Suncrest! Everyone I dealt with, from the registered nurses to the social worker to the chaplain was so kind, competent and professional. They assisted with all of the medical equipment my mother needed at her home, special food (she had a PEG feeding tube in her stomach), and were available 24/7 for any issues or questions. I recommend Suncrest Hospice highly to anyone needing hospice care for a loved one.

Lauren collected all the necessary records, was always available to answer questions or address concerns. Lyn, RN, was patient and kind to mom and I as she explained the ways hospice would help with mom's care and comfort. we recieved necessary medical equipment the same day, and when adjustments were needed, it was handled swiftly. Ryan, RN, has a calming presence, we enjoy his visits to check mom's vitals and address any medical needs. Kirsten, our social worker, is cheerful and offers ways to get mom social time and outings that bring joy in this difficult time. Paulette, our chaplain, took time to discuss necessary final arrangements and helped ease mom's mind on her journey. suncrest also blessed us with quite possibly the sweetest person ive ever met, Sarah, our aide, who visits mom several times a week. Sarah bathes mom, brings necessary supplies and brings us coffee and sometimes even breakast! Sarah always brings her smile and a joyful attitude. suncrest has made life a better place during the biggest challenge any of us have faced.

While the facility offers many services, the residents embrace independent living. Therefore, there are no on-site doctors nor nurses. However, if any resident needs emergency care, the front desk ensure that the appropriate medical professionals are contacted. I enjoy visiting the residents. I have seen firsthand how committed the Atria team is to offer meaningful activities for its residents and adapting when challenges arise such as inclement weather. The facility supports a diverse schedule of activities - on premises, external field trips and social gatherings. Recently, they have undergone some renovation - carpet replacement, painting, replacement of furniture and artwork. Today, some additional renovation was being done in the lobby floor and the front desk was very helpful in sharing an alternative path. Atria appears to be a beautiful facility with an incredible greenbelt view. The facility also provides on-site meals for their residents in addition to hair and nail salon services.

I write this post about the Atria staff to express our appreciation for the way we have been received and assisted. Thank you all! Charles and Jeane

SPEAK WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY AFTER CAPITAL HOME HEALTH COMES TO YOUR HOME TO SIGN YOU UP FOR THEIR SERVICES, IN ORDER TO MAKE SURE YOUR INSURANCE WILL COVER THE COST. I spoke with the case manager from Capital Home Health for Austin home physical therapy after my intake by their physical therapist. The lady with whom I spoke called from Dallas and could not have been ruder. She took great enjoyment in speaking over me repeatedly, not allowing me to ask questions, not allowing me to question the referral, nor allowing me to question the number of days authorized. I ended up telling her she was fired after 10 minutes of this. Bottom line, if I allowed Capitol Home Health to treat me as they planned, my insurance company only authorized 3 days of treatment. Capitol Home Health wanted to treat me for six to eight weeks. While their contract states that you would only pay what the insurance pays, and wouldn't have to pay a copay beyond that, in this situation the bill would have been catastrophic and would have ended up being a court case.

Infected employees were not immediately removed from duty, isolated, or replaced. There was no proper quarantine, masking enforcement, contact tracing, or notification to residents or their families. This exposed vulnerable senior residents, many with underlying medical conditions, to serious risk of illness. The staff were not given proper PPE or guidance on usage of PPE The Executive Director is an arrogant rude unprofessional disrespectful clown and a disgusting jerk who treats his staff especially in Assisted living as dirt. The food is unhygienic, bland and not worth for human consumption and the kitchen is infested with roaches and bugs. Unfortunately the dietary needs of residents are not taken in consideration. The hallways smell of urine and stale mold The elevator has been broken and non functional multiple times in Assisted living. Not to mention flooding of rooms is common during any rains.. The maintainance is equally despicable and pathetic.. and very slow to respond or too careless to respond.¹ This facility is not worth any negative stars.
