First time. Lame music, no tables available although we had reservations. Food was mediocre and wine was lame too. Next time, I'll go to rock wall in Alameda. read more

Apparently they don't do reservations, but they will charge you $10 on their website to reserve a table, then still charge you a $10 entrance fee, and then tell you that they've reserved a table for you when you call in, just to tell you in-person that you just grab whatever available seat there is because they don't do reservations. I know, it was a real confusing situation to me too and I got ripped off. The ciders were okay. If you order a burger, don't get it with bacon. Their kitchen actually burns it until it's inedible. read more

Great find, always a good ambiance and beautiful views of the bay. Wines are usually on-point, with a variety available. Highly recommend!

We went there on their opening weekend. There are two vintners currently in the facility, Carica Wines and R&B Cellars with perhaps room for more. The wines were interesting, some very good, some not to my taste. For us the standout was the Carica 2010 Kick Ranch Petite Sirah. A big wine well suite to big flavors. They had a number of reds we liked, and we tried two Chardonnays, neither of which are to my taste. I prefer crisp minerally chardonnays, very old school, before the advent of the buttery chardonnays which became so popular. We liked the tasting, $10 for 4 wines, and had a glass of the Petite Sirah after. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back The facility has a panoramic view of the East Bay hills to Raccoon Strait and Tiburon, and the wall with the view is almost entirely windows. Situated next to the museum ship "Red Oak Victory," now in her new berth and well worth a visit. As the name suggests, the building was once part of the WWII Kaiser shipyards. Also in the area is the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park, and again, is worth visiting. WHEN YOU VISIT BE SURE TO USE GOOGLE MAPS to find it. Bing Maps, the maps used by Facebook, will have you totally lost. read more

We came upon this place accidentally and what a happy surprise. I can't say enough good things. On the water. Live Jazz. Great wines and cider. Strong Covid protocols in place. We will be back. read more

Really nice way to spend an afternoon or evening! It's right on the water a lot of times there's live music! Try to catch Adrian West if he's playing he's always a great show! The staff is really friendly. It's kind of an interesting area and that it's way way off the beaten path and if you're looking to see what new Subarus are being imported into the United States you'll drive by the storage lot when they're coming off the boat lol read more

Very fun, open space winery and tasting room facility with an amazing view of the SF Bay. The variety of wines are enough to have at least something everyone will like. Winemakers are all friendly and will talk to you about their craft. They also have TONS of events like almost all week like trivia, live music, winemaker dinners, oyster Sundays, etc. Don't the location daunt you and check it out! read more

The wine was good, service was good, and the location was cool, but the food was pretty pathetic. We got the charcuterie board for $19! It consisted of one cheap piece of pita bread sliced up, a few slices of cheap deli meat, three types of cheese that looked like it came form a kids sample pack from Safeway, peperoncino?, mustard, and like three tiny pieces of pickled peppers. Way over priced and definitely not worth the $19. read more

Friend recommended this place so the girlfriend and I decided to give it a try. Seems like you are driving out to nowhere on a windy road towards the shipyard until you see the breathtaking view of the Bay on one of the last turns before the parking lot (another plus, ample parking!). Great wine selection people working there and other patrons were very friendly. Live music right on the water was very pleasant way to spend the afternoon --just remember to bring a jacket because even if it's sunny it gets windy. Also ordered the charcuterie plate which is surprisingly generous in size. Great spot, will for sure be back with a larger group in the future. read more

Riggers Loft - Cab/blanc. - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Richmond, California

Ive been to riggers twice and i have enjoyed it both times i def. Plan on going back again very soon. The people are soo nice and the service is awesome! Hector took care of me when it came to drinks he is awesome! The food is amazing. I love that its a food truck. The only downside is that its soo far out! Almost middle of nowhere but it is worth the drive. I recommend this spot to anyone who is looking for a new spot to try out! And a great place to hang. read more

One of my favorite places to enjoy a glass.. or bottle .. of wine. The scene is calm outside, great view, delicious food truck, and some days live music. My favorite was the cab franc, which they no longer carry for some reason.. but the staff is friendly & always fun showing us something new that our tastebuds usually like. Cool place. Bonus, my +1 partner is part of the wine club so we get a free glass every visit. Win! I would also like to host a party here. One day.... read more

Riggers Loft - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Richmond, California

Riggers Loft Winery is a lovely place to be on a Sunny afternoon. They are very Covid-19 conscious and tables are spaced far apart. Four of us went there this past Sunday to hear the band "Dirty Cello"...what a delight! They sure gave us a good show and high-energy music! People were dancing around by their respective tables & everyone having a fine time. Wine and Ciders are good, just slightly pricey in my opinion, but the view is absolutely fantastic and good for the soul! The food was okay, very tasty and would like to see a little more variety, and more desserts :-) . This place is hidden away off the main roads but well-worth the drive over. The staff were efficient and kind and were helpful. We will all be going back there again soon and will watch their event listings. Wendie S-M read more

This place is indeed hard to find. Part of the difficulty had to do w/ me and my erroneous conviction that I knew where it was, but it truly is hard to find, even when looking in the right place. Take the Canal Blvd exit off 580, heard toward the water and follow the signs to the Red Oak Victory. Eventually we did that, but w/o Nina's guidance, we still would have had trouble finding it. The door is directly across from the huge crane beside the Red Oak Victory. We were meeting Nina and Larry to hear a concert by Juke Joint, the group we had heard w/ them at the Terrace Room. I had read that it was cold inside and I was glad I had my coat. Riggers Loft houses wines from four wineries and one cider maker. There are a few couches and numerous high tables w/ backless stools, which weren't as comfortable as ones w/ backs would have been. By the time we got there the concert was in full swing. We walked in and saw one, then two, then three, then four well behaved dogs. Obviously very dog friendly. Alan went out to the car to fetch Jordin, who was fussed over by all and sundry. It's also a kid friendly place. I didn't see a food truck outside and assumed there was none, but I was informed via message by one of the staff that street eats, the food truck, has placed his stall inside behind the TV beside the bathrooms. He is always there whenever the tasting room is open. His paella and his corn fritters are the best sellers and that sounds heavenly to me. Next time we are there we will check it out. Nina, Larry and I ordered wines and Alan ordered cider. We were given tastes before committing. Neither Nina nor I liked our first choice that much. I sampled Irish Monkey's Primitivo blend and Nina sampled a white blend. We then both tried the Irish Monkey Bilbera blend and liked it better, so that's what we got. A generous pour was $9. I didn't hear what Larry ordered, but it was a red. Water was refilled regularly and bread sticks were brought out. The music was great, though louder than Alan liked. This is a nice venue. They have music Friday nights and Saturday afternoons. I was going to get on their mailing list if they have one, but checking their website I'm not sure they do. It's a matter of checking their calendar, I think.. read more

Fun place and nice people. Great views and atmosphere. As a vegetarian the food options were NOT good. The Barbecue food truck did not have any plant based protein choices. Seems like it would not be that hard to have some veggie burgers or sausages to Q up. I have noticed a lot of beer tap rooms now have a couple wine options, it would be great if they could have a couple beer options for those who are not wine drinkers. I do respect the owners choice to do what makes them happy. It's worth a visit for the view alone. read more

Can't beat the view from the patio. Nice place to sip a glass of wine which you order inside. Table service for food is spotty.

Irish Monkey all the way! Ask about the lost mourvedre and you'll be in for a good story and glass of wine. My wino-in-crime is obsessed with this particular bottle of wine and Bob even delivered it to our place in the city when he inquired about buying a case of it. Side note: food truck out back is also yummy, especially when you've had a few glasses of wine :) read more

Daisy is a star! She is super sweet and was so accommodating to all of our needs. She secured some loyal customers from us. Love this place!

If I tell you how great the experience is; could you not drink up all the impeccable guava cider!?

Ok. We've been here a few times and try so hard to love it. As we left tonight I said to my husband if we come back we just have to accept they could care less about us as customers and just enjoy the view. Hard to do. Had reservations at six. I come in the front door and nobody is sitting at the desk to check us in but there is a sign to say wait to be seated. So I stand there for about five minutes and then the bartender finally comes over and tries to check me in. He says go on outside. So I go outside and find a table and sit down to wait for my husband to arrive. We were later scolded when trying to put in food order that we didn't have a table number. I explain the situation but the host was still really rude. Look buddy, we're paying to be here! So long story short we have 2 glasses of wine each (it was really bad wine) and 2 items from the menu that took almost an hour. The view was beautiful as always and the weather perfect. Will we return? Probably not. read more

Riggers was a perfect location for our October wedding! The scenery was beautiful and the staff were all very helpful. We had two bartenders who were friendly and fun. Wonderful setting & great place to hear music in the afternoon - a rare find.

You simply can't beat this location! Right on the bay, it's fun watching the boats and birds sail or sore by. The food is OK, and the wine it isn't bad either (tip: if you're just as happy with beer, choose that option here), but it's the friendly staff and location that makes this a must visit place. read more

This place is one of Richmond's secret hot spots. I doubt it will remain a local secret much longer, word is getting out. The wine selection is great! Paul's food truck is just right! and the staff are all friendly and super knowledgeable. We held an event there and were treated with great care and attention to detail. Our guests were all very pleasantly surprised. This place is quickly becoming our favorite hang out. A shared tasting room for three different wineries - Irish Monkey Cellars, R&B Cellars, and Carica Wines. Located next to the SS Red Oak Victory ship, the tasting room is in a wine production facility with big windows that expose a nice bay view. The decent red blends by Irish Monkey and R&B Cellars were better than their varietal-specific bottles. The reds by Carica were my least favorite. The $10 tasting was not waived with purchase. Be careful of the suggested tip when purchasing wine. The check-out device has a suggested tip amount, but it includes the price of the wine. For example, if you buy a $10 tasting and $90 in wine to take home, the suggested 20% tip is $20. That's not a 20% tip, but a 200% tip. read more

A hidden gem in Point Richmond. The wine company has wines from 4 different labels. Each quite good. There is a huge tasting room that just opened in March and is going to keep growing. With a dedicated kitchen, outdoor seating and cider coming soon. Right now there is a food truck most of the time. I got the smoked salmon tostados and they were delicious. There are bands on Friday nights and once a month they bring in a big band. I will definitely be coming back for that. The wines are mostly reds with some solid zins and blends, my favorites. read more

We made reservations for 4 and paid the $5.00 per person reservation fee to see Dirty Chelo play. When we got there we discovered it he show was cancelled. They had an acoustic guitar player/singer instead. We drove 45 minutes for this event and got no notification that the band had cancelled. Additional the host was extremely rigid and unfriendly. She sat us down at a table in the back Delite many open tables up front. When asked if we could move closer she said the system randomly chooses our table and that we had no other choice, despite many other open tables available. We are very disappointed. Not sure if we will come back to this place despite the nice view. Too bad. read more

Really delicious wines! They also have a calendar of events happening there. The first time I was at Riggers Loft, there was a live band. It was nice. The food is always changing which i think is great. I was a bit confused on where to go to order food, but one if the workers lead the way! Will definitely come back. I enjoy this place a lot. read more

We bicycled in the area with friends so decided to stop in for a wine tasting while my friends, the locals, had their glass of wine. I stayed with Carica Wines and they were okay, but I would have really loved some chocolate as I tried the red wines! The bread sticks are not good for gluten-free people so I do need to remember to bring snacks when doing wine tastings. They will have more wines so I know my local friends will be back to check them out. read more
