Great date night! Start with a tasting they have 3 wineries represented I loved the R&B Zydeco Zin!!! We paired the wine with great Tacos and the best Macaroni & Cheese sprinkled with carnitas (wow a showstopper!). Great San Francisco views! Too chilly to sit outside last night but we will be back to enjoy that amazing waterfront deck! You must check out this place. read more

The servers (Victor and Tim) are very friendly and knowledgeable who also makes the experience very easy and comfortable.

A little disappointed with the server tonight. I've always enjoyed every visit to Riggers but tonight during my flight tasting, my server told me that this was a rosé. That is NOT a rosé. My friend ordered a glass of this same "Carica Rosé" and it had a more pink color to it. Just be honest. That's all. read more

Riggers Loft - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Richmond, California

Great wine, great view, nice staff, sooo many fruit flys!! We all got flys in our wine! Our server tried to ignore the copious amounts of fruit flys buzzing around her face. She looked like pig pen from Charlie Brown. Clean up get rid of the flys and this place is a solid 4-5 stars. read more

Always love going to Riggers Loft. They've been a lifesaver on weekend afternoons. Beautiful view. Wonderful musicians. Great to see Brian Gerard. Server Daisy has an attitude and we waited an hour for food we didn't know was not available. A bit condescending. All else is welcoming and lovely. read more

Great wines and even better people/ ambience. Had a blast visiting here with my hubby. We will definitely we back!

My first time here at Riggers Loft and it was amazing! The view of the skyline, the string lights, and the delicious drinks made the whole experience worth while. Ask for Timothy! He's a cool guy that will make sure you have a good time! read more

I had my birthday party at this venue! Perfect service, wonderful vibe! Live music! Loving people! Couldn't ask for more! Happy birthday girl here! read more

We stumbled across an ad from a local magazine and decided to check it out. It's at the end of a pier near the battleship. A true Richmond gem hidden inside a industrial area. The bar is awesome with a lot of varieties for you to try, all local vineyards and Richmond made. You wont need to go to Sonoma or Napa for a feel of winery. It's right there in the heart of Richmond. Best view of SF bay bridge and coit tower. Exceptional bartenders and wonderfil staff. Food truck is available with difderent choices, and the winery does bring in different menu and special per week. I definitely return for more wine tasting. It's 15/person btw, and if you buy a bottle, it's waived. Cant beat that. Go! People! Enjoy! read more

Love having this little gem in my backyard. One of the best views of SF there is, the wine is great, and so is the onsite food truck. Especially love when they have live jazz music, it just doesn't get much better! read more

This is a quirky, innovative, fun place...I would describe it as a sort of food court, but instead of restaurants, it has resident wineries, which offer lovely wine tastings. There is food, served from a back kitchen. The location is amazing, directly on the water, with knock-out views, and outdoor tables right next to a working port. Picturesque old machinery is scattered around the locale, including an osprey nest with a cam you can check on from your phone (Golden Gate Audubon) They frequently include live music on the weekends...in fact my only criticism is that the music is often too LOUD, especially as the place is concrete, and needs little amplification. It makes conversation difficult. The kitchen served us utterly delicious, creative pizza. We enjoyed wine from Carica, a favorite. I think that many of the wines offered are actually made on the premises. This is a great, lively, special destination. read more

Amazing view, really good food from the food truck, delicious wines and great service. Favorite wine is the R&B Swingster Zin from Contra Costa County. Kid friendly and dog friendly. A hidden gem! read more

Really fun place to go for music and wine on a Friday or Saturday night. Good music choices and wine selections.

Truly one of the secret gems of Richmond! Offers live music, breath taking views and exceptional customer service. Plenty of free parking, great atmosphere, and some of the best wines in California. read more

Hidden winery. Food truck. Doggy friendly. Amazing view. Live music Friday nights. Overall great spot. Second time I was there, not sure if it was due to weather or sat in a bad spot but there were tons of fruit flies! We had to change spots three times Bc it was flying everywhere. Some got into the wine glass which sucked. Just watch out for them read more

Great variety of wines at great prices with amazing waterfront views. My only gripe, do not serve cheese and crackers wrapped in cellophane, out of a plastic box, like on an airplane, and call it a "cheese plate." It seems amateurish and inappropriate for a place that does other things so well. read more

Riggers Loft is a great winery located on the Bay. It's a cool spot to spend time introducting friends to new wines and new vibes. The people tending bar are all very knowledgeable about their wines. I went with a friend on a Sunday afternoon after hiking in the local park. It was a perfect way to finish the day - wine, live jazz, cool people and amazing view of the water and clear skies. Definitely a place to kick back and enjoy a slice of life. read more

Amazing venue. Live music tonight as well as beautiful views, yummy food and delicious wines. What more could you ask for. Total gem! read more

Found this place on a bike ride and very glad we stopped by. Great location, fantastic views, friendly service and nice wines. Apparently they have a jazz pianist on Fridays and the occasional jazz night, hope to call by again soon! read more

Conviently located within walking distance of my marina. Last week while I was trying a flight of wine, they appeared much more interested in me as a customer. Tonight, not so much - no offerings of bread sticks or chocolates as offered to other customers. read more

I came here a few months ago and had a wonderful time with my family. we stayed for several hours eating playing games and listening to the smooth tunes of Craig Gordon browing. he is a very talent jazz musician who my daughter loves amd we had such a wonderful time we are planning on coming back very soon. I would just need to know when he is going to play again read more

All the potential to be awesome. Great setting, good wines and ciders. A local beer would be great. Food truck outside is a good idea for a workaround of having a kitchen. Maybe a food runner is needed with those table number cards so you don't have to guess when your food is ready. 2 gripes that I have are access and signage and service. You feel like you are driving off the end of the earth and signs are hard to see. Worse is that when you arrive, you have no idea where to go. You basically have to wander until you see somebody come out. Hard to figure out. Second gripe is service. Just slow. Growing pains I guess. We sat with glasses empty for long whiles not really knowing who could fix it. We would easily have spent more if service was more prompt. read more

This place is outstanding for many reasons -- wine tasting, wine drinking, the view, food truck with great food -- it turns out it is also a great place to have an event. My son and daughter-in-law had their wedding reception here last weekend. Everyone loved the unique atmosphere. Roy Creekmore, the event manager, was wonderful. He was totally on top of everything. I highly encourage anyone looking for a place to have an event to check out Riggers Loft. read more

I wasn't drinking wine the day I went, but went primarily to sample the truck food (Street Eats?) which I found out is there every day to provide food to accompany the wine tasting portion of this business. The food was excellent. Fresh ingredients and interesting menu. I had the mezze platter which had a mixture of carrot hummus, baba ghanouj, tzatzaki with soft, delectable pita bread. I can't wait to go back. Ambiance was nice - inside a warehouse with wine barrels. Definitely recommend! read more

This has been the worst experience and this is my first time visiting. The reason why I give it 2 stars was the space and scenery of the San Francisco Bay. The service suck hands down, reasons why I felt the service they offer to other guest was offer more. Guest around here seem to be stuck up when I was trying to pay our glasses of wine since they think are more better than us. The staff what the f@&k! Come on treat me with some respect or at least give friendly service. You have 5 people behind the bar and not one can look at me straight in the eye that I need some assistance. After some of the guests think negative towards me. The hell I have my credit card ready to pay my sh!t and leave. First and last time visiting there. Local Richmond residents skip this place. read more

I am opposed to writing bad reviews on anything but since you kinda ruined my birthday I'll make an exception. I had planned a 7-person gathering for my birthday and, 3 weeks ago, seeing that Rigger's Loft had jazz organ from 6 to 9, planned with my family/friends to meet there for a relaxing few glasses of wine and easy conversation, and for dinner the adjacent food truck/stand. Time to wind down and chat with family and friends, right? Two days before my event, I noticed on the website that the music had been removed from the calendar. I emailed the winery, saying, hey, what happened you removed the music? The manager answered, "Yes, we are having a private party that night and they are having a DJ. Sorry!". Red Flag. I should have right then and there found another place to go!!!But the manager said the tasting room was still open, and it was still pleasantly open to the public. We "reserved" a table. Turns out no table reservation was necessary since the place was pretty empty due to the private party. Duh. What was I thinking? Come anyway & OK, so I had planned this several weeks before, she said the private party wouldn't bother us. We had an ok time, the bartenders are great, staff is helpful, etc., despite the fact that the party took half of the space, with lights, announcements, loudspeakers, etc. Annoying but halfway acceptable. After about a good solid hour the "private party" and their DJ turned into high school level of Uptown Funk-Cupid Shuffle-other loud and teenie bopper songs. We're back at EC High prom night? Blasting. Blasting so loud that on the other side of the winery we could no longer have a conversation. The bar manager was as nice as could be but the horrible atmosphere/noise clearly wasn't his decision and there was nothing he could do about it. I feel sorry for the staff btw. Great, Winery, you ENCOURAGE us to come in spend a couple of hundred bucks with you only to not provide us with an enjoyable environment. Screw the paying REGULAR customers like us so you can pack in a Private Party $$$ and make a ton more $$. Next time you have a private party, CLOSE the damned place (Like you ALWAYS do when Andre Thierry comes!) so no other dumb customers like us come in and waste a couple of hundred bucks on a damned shitty time. Regarding the so-called "food stand" outside: Riggers Loft you changed your food vendor in October. For the worse. The previous restauranteur outside had tacos, burgers, a fair amount of nice food you could order and eat in the winery. The present one has four entrees only: Pork belly in pastry for $14; macaroni & cheese; chicken sandwich; turkey meatballs. Four snacks to choose from at most. The cook then decided to stop making mac & cheese as he said it didn't taste good (we had a taste & it was great, btw), so then you had THREE things to choose from. This is not dinner, it's hors d'oeuvres. We REALLY should have gone to Armistice Brewery in Marina Bay as at least they have a great food truck!!! And you can always hear yourself talk at Armistice! I live in Richmond and try to patronize our businesses but it may be a long time before I go back to Riggers Loft to socialize. And certainly do NOT go there for your birthday!` read more

We must spread the word on this unique wine tasting room next to the Red Oak Victory ship museum on the Richmond shoreline. They have an amazing food truck serving dinner Friday and Saturday, serving Paella, Seared Ahi Tuna Tacos, plus much more. read more

We went to Riggers Loft on 3/12/16 and boy were we glad we did!. We live part time in Pt. Richmond and my wife and are planning to host my 50th birthday party/housewarming this coming weekend. We had planned to drive to Napa and I happened to hear about Riggers Loft which is only about a mile and a half from our second home in the Brickyard. This is a hidden gem conveniently located in our own backyard. We did two different flights of four wines and they were all superb. The chardonnay and local zinfandel were my favorites. This is very surprising as I was born and raised in Lodi. The in-laws went with us and we all had a great time. This place will not be a secret for long as it hosts a solid selection of really outstanding wines. We all joined their wine club and I bought a case of white and a case of red for the party this weekend. We'll definitely be back. The panoramic view is outstanding for most, but we have a similar view from our home. Amazing friendly staff who are very accommodating and very laid back. Talked with many of the staff, including the owner, who introduced himself as the "head bottle washer." LOL This is definitely an unpretentious fun place with some pretty amazing wine. read more

I'd like to comment on the wine and cider, but we couldn't get the wine flights we ordered. After waiting about 1-1/2 hours we left. Requests for service were ignored and treated with condescension. We sat at the bar, the place wasn't crowded, and it looked like they had plenty of servers. Maybe they just have a thing against "mature" women. Definitely can't recommend Riggers Loft. Too bad, we wanted to like this place. read more

Great location, best wine tasting room on the waterfront in the East Bay. Lots of choices, great staff. Paula is a great server!

My husband and I rode out on our bikes to check out the new wine bar we had heard about at our Marina Bay neighborhood meeting. Riggers Loft is a brilliant addition to the Richmond waterfront! Thank you to the pioneer vintners who saw the potential of the astounding views and the large open space. And thank you City Mothers and Fathers for approving this gift to our city. Riggers will be a Richmond treasure, with excellent Napa and North Coast wines, plus, they plan to have music events. We had a flight of two whites and two reds for $10, and had a nice time talking with the friendly owner and staff. We strapped a bottle of the R&B Cellars Sauvignon Blanc onto one of our bikes to take home as a souvenir of a memorable afternoon. Before going into Riggers, we spent an hour watching the nesting Osprey on the WW2-era crane next to the Red Oak Liberty ship. We are Richmond Proud! of Riggers. read more

Had a great time here! Food from Street Eats hit the spot! Lovely views, good wine, attentive and helpful staff. Dog-friendly (we will bring our pup next time). Best of all it was a 15 minute drive from home in the East Bay. Cider, wine, food, lovely people; what's not to love? read more

Rigger's Loft tasting room is fun! We had flights of wines while enjoying the fantastic views of the bay and city. This is a great local spot- they even have a Street Eats food truck and live music on weekends! We tried wines from all 3 wineries- R&B, Carica and Irish Monkey. My faves were Carica Syrah, R&B Zin and Merlot and Irish Monkey Barbera. We talked to owners of 2 of the wineries and staff was super attentive. I recommend you go with friends for a relaxing time with great wine! read more

Riggers Loft is a gem of a place in an unexpected location with fantastic views, a down-to-earth, friendly vibe, good wine & surprisingly good food from the upscale food truck "Street Eats that has offerings such as pulled pork tacos, meze platter, cheeseburger, falafels." You can get wines by the glass or do tastings of R&B Cellars & three other wineries plus a cidery in this big warehouse and production facility. Live jazz several times a month, usually Friday and Saturday nights from 5:30-8:30 p.m. My friends loved the place and have come back a few times since. read more
