Dogs dogs everywhere in nyc! Hair salon, Bloomingdale's, restaurants, supermarkets, theaters and now an upscale lingerie shop! This afternoon I was looking for a bathing suit and lingerie in this very pricey shop. A huge dog was blocking the entry door while its owner sat there scrolling on her phone. Wasn't buying anything. Just indoors beating the heat! I am allergic to dogs. I mentioned this to the sales help. They agreed that the shop was no place for a dog but did nothing to remedy the situation. I'm tired of " pet friendly" establishments that are not people friendly! Many of these establishments letting dogs in are goin against the board of health. They are not service dogs! And people, know the difference between a service dog and an emotional support dog ( mostly bogus!) enough is enough! The city is filthy and the dogs are walking on pavement and pooping and they are welcome into these establishments. Will not ever shop here again. BTW, I never noticed a dog with a credit card making a purchase! read more

The woman at the front desk was rude and awful. I came in 15 minutes before they closed to be fitted for a bra, and she tried turning me away. I literally ran to this place from work because their hours suck (10am-6pm on the UES!). I said they were still open so begrudgingly she had someone else help me, but the whole experience left the worst taste in my mouth. I ended up buying something (only because I needed to) and was out of there at 5:58pm. Front desk lady rushed me out. Don't waste your money on this place. You can buy all the brands they carry online or at other stores. They just lost a loyal customer. read more

My daughter and I shopped @the 90th Street location. Ms. Miguelina Peña was our stylist/expert and Ms. Miguelina Peña was beyond excellent! One look was all that it took for Ms. Peña to fit me perfectly! Ms. Peña located a lot of garments (bras plus one-piece bathing suit that I needed) and colors and styles were just what I needed/wanted. My daughter was fitted and the styles of bras and colors Ms. Peña selected for her were just as beautiful as the ones picked for me!!! I had waited three years to restock at Rigby ! I also will never buy from another seller for bras! This is the best brand and has the most magnificent staff. I was shopping at the downtown location pre pandemic so it took me awhile to get over to 90th and Madison but it was such a great experience. The saleswoman knew my size by looking at me and got it right (32F) and she instantly found me two bras and even several bathing suits. I refuse to wear ill fitting bras and Rigby and Peller is by far the best bra store in NYC. I have shopped them ALL trust me! read more

I spent about an hour at R&P with Miguelina, who was lovely and seemed like an expert fitter. I left happy, thinking that I'd gotten 3 good bras. Actually, the bras were painfully too small and the company has demonstrated appalling customer service dealing with this situation. When I had trouble fastening the bra I wore out of the store, Miguelina said it would "give" from being worn. It felt pretty tight and when I saw the deep red marks on my body that night I emailed her to ask if that was normal. I wore another new bra the next day, following her instructions to rotate them - and it was even worse, more painful with red marks around my back and even on top of my shoulders from the straps. I gave the first one one more try and same - it did not "give," it was painful. At that point, three days after my purchase, the email I had sent bounced back as undeliverable since her business card had an outdated email address. I called the R&P store closest to me (30+ mins highway drive) and was told to bring the bras in for an exchange or store credit. She said her store had a smaller selection than NYC and that it was picked over due to their sale. The lady couldn't have been nicer but said she could not refund the purchase. Say what? R&P sold me bras that are painfully too small! They don't measure but at this point I did and my back is 2" wider than the bras they sold me. No wonder they were so painful! I called customer service and had a 45 min call with 2 people. One contacted HQ for return authorization and I was told R&P will send me a UPS label for me to return the bras for a refund. I asked them to check with the manufacturer if they had the next size up - I believe they said they own the brand - no answer. Instead they suggest I buy bras from them with help from their fitters over the phone. This is a standard service they offer all customers but I'd already declined, to me the only point of going to an upscale bra boutique is to get an in-person - and correct - fitting. I'm very disappointed R&P turned out to be such a dud. It's been frustrating, a waste of time, and physically painful. The last customer service rep I spoke with - I couldn't believe their "customer service" solution was to refund the bras and tell me start from scratch - with them (!) was insulting, telling me to "stop wearing the bras" and return them. Seriously?! Of course I'm not wearing them, they are super painful!! R&P has made clear they think they've offered great customer service. I'd planned to visit R&P on the regular - it's a 5 mins walk from family in NYC - but they have lost my business. read more

Hello all!!! Rigby and Peller changed my life. Alba greeted me with a warm smile. She sized me and gave me a tutuorial on a health bra life, was patient and kind all throughout. To my surprise, I have been wearing the wrong size bra forever!! I am a boobalicious woman. I thought continuously tucking and lifting all day was normal. NOPE!! With my new Rigby and Peller bras I have not tucked or lifted at all. LOVE IT!!! My experience was informative, welcoming and amazing. The quality and fit is amazing. I arrived, wet from the rain and cranky from a bad day. Miguelina was absolutely lovely from jump; super helpful, super understanding, she didn't seem to care that all I needed were some bra strap extenders, she grabbed everything she needed to fit me properly and immediately got to it. Very attentive, very sympathetic when I described my failed attempts at figuring out how to get the right extender online, and very quick. If this is the kind of service they provide for a measly $30 purchase, I'll be coming back for sure to support this wonderful establishment. read more

I've never been in and out of a bra fitting place so quickly. I loved the second one I tried on (I forget the woman's name but it was a Friday at 6:30- a black woman probably in her 40s). I made an appointment online earlier in the day which was SUPER easy, which I loved - then I walked in 15 minutes early but it was completely empty in there so I was helped immediately. It was a no-nonsense visit, she listened to me that I felt my band was too small and cup too big, and brought the right new size in a VERY comfortable bra. I have a difficult size to find, and in December I had a terrible experience at Journelle on Mercer St. where the woman fitting me had absolutely no idea what she was doing, so Rigby and Peller was a much better experience. They also have a wide range of differently priced items- mine was a little pricey at $95 for one bra but definitely worth it. read more

I just called the upper east side store to inquire about other colors in a bra I purchased from them a few months back. (I love it so much I find I'm constantly washing it to wear again and definitely needed a new one.) As my previous purchases were in their system, it was nothing to pull up my information and find what I needed. Then the wonderful woman on the other end of the phone told me that she would be sending it to me by messenger and I would have it by the end of the day. WHAT?! Mind blown! I've been coming to the predecessor of this store for years. It was called Intimacy and the fitting specialists were great. Also there was a service to alter the bra if it didn't fit properly. I loved the selection also and it seemed a mayhem of colors and luscious fabrics spilling out of drawers. The specialists knew were everything was so no matter. Intimacy also reminded me of the founding days of Victoria's secret when bras were made out of silk... The fitters here are still good and know their merchandise. However, I don't think they are selling the same high quality that Intimacy did. I paid more per bra, around $165.00, but they don't really have the same quality of the ones sold by Intimacy. Some of the brands are different but I am not sure if it's worth the dollars. I may try other places-anyone with any good suggestions? Thanks for reading this. read more

I used to go to this store when it was called Intimacy. I haven't been fit for a bra in over 5 years and knew when it was finally time I had to go to the best place for fit, knowledge and hospitality. The name has been changed but the care and attention to their customers needs has not. I was welcomed with warmth and smiles and my Lingerie Stylist named Oumou Kebe took care of all my needs and concerns. She never made me feel rushed and was gentle to my insecurities. My experience at Rigby and Peller was simply the best. Raquel gave me a very warm greeting and made me feel welcome and appreciated as a customer. Miguelina was my lingerie associate and I have never had a better experience purchasing a bra. I recently lost a lost of weight and of course, my bra size changed also. I had no idea what size I was anymore but Miguelina was warm and professional and told me not to worry, she'd take care of me and find me the perfect bra. It was so low stress and low pressure, just a calm and friendly experience. In the end I got two fabulous bras that fit like gloves and I've been incredibly pleased with both. I never write reviews but I had to for this experience. My mom and I came in here since this is the only brand she buys from for bras. We were greeted by Abby and she helped us the entire time. She helped my mom find over 7 bras she loved and was so patient the entire time. She spent time searching through every option for my mom and was enthusiastic about the whole experience. She seemed genuinely excited to help us and was kind the entire time. The experience was so much fun with her helping. She even went to the basement to look for more options for my mom that could possibly be down there. She was so honest and educated on everything pertaining to the bras which was very helpful. Overall we had the best experience we've ever had shopping, since she was helping us the whole time. Couldn't have asked for a more attentive, enthusiastic, kind, educated, and patient sales associate. She thought of every possible solution to make our experience better, including putting notes in my moms profile of bras that were a maybe. High-end shop with good customer service. I'm pregnant so my shape is ... Changing. Had my first ever bra fitting with Oumou, who was excellent. Very discreet, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. She helped me find the perfect bra. I wasn't in the market for anything else, but the selection is beautiful (and expensive), with particularly nice-looking nightwear. If money was no object, I could do some damage. They brought my mother tea while I looked, and she sat on a comfortable chair while she waited. Definitely prefer this shop and the service over the attitude you get at other more "established" lingerie shops on the UES. Also it seemed newly redone, and the interior is fresh, not tired. read more
