She is also the one who greeted me at the office and walked me through the process of paying to process roosters and then dropping them off in the correct place. This place is fairly decent. Staff can sometimes be rude, but they work all day slaughtering animals in the hot sun! Give them a break. I buy 1-2 cows here yearly and get them processed. I like how fast they work so I can then cut the meat up. The price is alright, can't really complain. Make sure you don't bring kids or the elderly here. The place is super dirty, and it smells. The owner is arrogant and the goats are expensive compared with other farms, we left there and went to half moon bay and the same size he called 480$ we got for 300$ and his farm does not cut in small bits, you have to do it yourself. It can be messy and time consuming compared with the other farm, they cut in small not too small chunk and the clean for you. For a $20 fee. read more

I always go when we need chicken For parties and ceremonies. The have their own staff to kill the chicken, boil and plucking machine. I like the set up of the cleaning tables and water to help u clean. I appreciate this place cause not a lot of ppl set up homegrown hard working livestock anymore. It's hard to come by. As long as they will stay open I know where to go for my livestock. I travel all the way from sac and get the best. I only gave them 4 because I don't think they have a restroom for guest or at least I've never had to ask. read more

Don't go there ! First & last time for me ! Staff was rude, they don't cut , not even provide knife. You got to be prepared and take your own knife. I got 5 roosters --they just kill it and throw in the cleaning machine that removes the skin. You got to pick from the machine and clean / cut yourself ! When asked if they would cut, they said NO and was rude and literarily said ' take yours and get out in 10 mins as they close at noon. How am I suppose to cut 5 birds in 10 mins ,In fact, everyone stayed well past noon. I had a borrow a knife from the customer cleaning next to me and just did the basic cleaning and got out . Important --the place is not clean at all , very dirty and these are NOT free range or country style chicken . They are fed in a cage in a dirty place. We raised two turkeys for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, and at the last minute realized we didn't have time to harvest & process then ourselves. Riella was a life saver, just an hour from Sacramento and unbelievably fast, easy, clean, affordable processing of our birds. Sounds like other reviewers had a tough time with customer service, but our experience was the opposite - nothing but polite and helpful, even cracking a few jokes to help lighten the mood since they could tell we were sad to see our first turkeys go. We searched high and low for places to process turkeys (other places only did chickens and ducks) and I'm so glad we finally found Riella Farms. read more

Great place for fresh live chicken/rooster. They will cut and clean it for you. They could also help you with halal slaughter as well. Rooster $10 and hen $8. Around 80 miles drive from San Jose but it is worth if you plan to buy more than ten to twenty chickens and freeze them. read more

I go with my mom here a couple times a year. They always have a good variety of chickens to choose from. We usually head out early and try to be there right when they open so we can choose the chicken we need before others arrive and it gets crowded. They slaughter, boil and pluck for you and they also help you clean it if you request for help, which is an additional charge if $3/per chicken, but that price could've changed. Not too sure. All in all, its a great place to get your livestocks especially if you need more for parties and such. I just wish they would have bathrooms visible for the visitors. I've asked once and one of the workers told me, "Go out the door, turn left and it's all the way out there." Couldn't find it at all until we were leaving and saw an old porta potty that didn't seem to be in service. Other than that, we continue to come here. It's not a hard place to find with twist and turns. read more
