The product was excellent exactly what we came all the way there for. The process was confusing, slow and selective. We didn't know who to go to to pick up our pig. It was 20 minutes before I finally went to the front store and she had to come with me back with me to talk to the processor to get ahead of the line since I called in my order 2 days before. I then waited over an hour to get our pig and head back home. There were others behind me in line that were asked if they needed help but we were never asked the same when we got there. I would come back for a pig because, like I said, their pig was excellent and even got a couple packages of their jerky which was delish! Maybe I need to go earlier too. read more

Being the owners son does not give any privilege to mistreat customers. I'm asian during covid 2022. must be asian hate. Been going to this place for a long time for a whole pig. Workers are really friendly and they work very hard. Happy about the quality of the pork. My main complaint is they really need to have a system for people waiting in line. I showed up at 7am, there was hardly anyone there. Why is it I have to wait for a guy to finish up his order of 18 pigs?? I get that maybe these people are buying pigs for a shop or whatever but they really need a system for this. All the people who showed up literally a few mins later should not have to wait so long for someone to finish their large order when we only want one. Put a cap on the limit (5 or 10 max per person). Or for large orders, request that they order ahead of time and begin the preparation before they arrive. Or just let 1 person go after every 5 pigs are done for large orders. Figure out something because this is clearly not working. Keep the line moving at least. read more

Ordered a whole pig from Long Ranch for the first time last week. We had a party on Friday so I called them on Sunday to order a pig but they had already closed by 10am. Called when they opened on Wednesday and got an answering machine. Had my Aunt in Manteca drive down to order the pig for me and she said they were all working in the back in the slaughter house so and no one was in the office. She placed the order for pick up on Friday. We order our pig for a La Caja China box and it was butterflied and dressed at 60 lbs and ready to go on Friday morning. Pig was fresh and not a single hair on the skin. They really did a nice job on it. I'm coming back all the time for my pork. Farm was easy to find and super clean. We are planning a pig roast this weekend. We drove from Milpitas all the way to Manteca to look for Long Farms. We did an extensive search on where we can find dressed (gutted and cleaned) pig. I was happy to find Long farms because they know what they're doing. They offer sausages, chicken and beef all sorts of barbecue meats. We got there at 10 AM and the pig was ready. The staff was helpful. They assisted with putting the pig in our 100 quart cooler and gave us tips on preparation. The pigs are all locally raised. We paid $165 for a 50 pound dressed pig where if we tried to get it in the bay area it would've easily cost us $250. It was definitely worth the drive. We will definitely come back here to Long Farms for all of our pig roast/Lechon needs. read more

Service is okay and price is good. The reason I give it a 1 is because of the health of the pigs. I'd say 3 out of every 10 pigs have health problem. Next time of you go, check the rib cage after slaughter. Sometime there's these white stuff form around the inside rib cage looking like cancer. They wouldn't exchange. You kill it, you eat it even though the pigs have disease. I told them or doesn't look safe to eat and they said it shouldn't be a problem. Wish there's health inspector on site checking every slaughter pig. read more

This place was a good place, we came here once or twice every year for fresh pig. Many of my friends family members comes here as well. Well I sure will take my money and business else where. The sister is the cashier, the brother shocks the pig, and cut the pig throat. I'm Asian, my brother in-laws is Cuban. The cashier weight the pig, and said $175 I paid for it with cash. $5 more if with credit card. I brought in my container with some salt in the container , I wanted the blood when the son cut the throat of the pig. He said "you can't sell the blood" directed to my brother in-laws cause he looks white. My brother in-laws in return said we're together. The son of the ranch said " did you come here in the same car?" We replied yes. Than he said "WOW" . My brother in-laws, and I totally felt discriminated against. The son said place my container on the table, he'll get the blood from another pig that someone do not want. I placed the container on the table. My brother in-laws said to the son "That's was racist" . He literally snap, and thru my container on the floor. I ask him to pick it up and clean it. I did nothing to you. The sister comes out hand me my money and said " my dad said give you your money, and your not getting the pig " we were in aww.. My brother in-laws demanded to see the father. The father came out, we told the father what happen. He professionally took care of the problem. Out of the whole ordeal. I wanted an apology. The father did so apologized.
