The order took a long time, and portions were on the smaller side, but food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meals.

We came shortly after they opened at 11:30 and there was only one other family dining there the entire time we were there. We had: -Assortment of three spreads - hummus, tzatziki, and skordalia (potato, garlic, olive oil). We originally wanted to get the roasted eggplant but they said they hadn't made it yet. All the spreads were fine - nothing special about it. It comes with some pita bread for dipping. Next, we had some grilled halloumi -Avgolemono Soup - comforting on a cloudy day. Even my toddler enjoyed it and she doesn't usually like meat but ate a few chunks of the chicken -Grilled Halloumi (with fig jam) - this was a little oily and very salty. I did like the fig jam with it but $17.95 for a chunk of cheese is pretty pricey -Gyro Combo Platter (pork, chicken, and lamb gyro served with fries, pita, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki) - I missed where the menu said it's served with tzatziki because then I probably wouldn't have ordered the assortment of spreads. The pork was chewy, and the chicken was dry, but the lamb was good. They did have a nice flavor though. Again, my daughter who doesn't like meat even ate some of the chicken and the lamb. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, especially since there were really only two things we really liked. But if you do visit, I'd recommend just getting the lamb gyro. Tip - BYOB

Dipping sauce is great combination with it. Crispy Duck Ted Curry has a punch. Duck is cooked beautifully. The curry is spicy and packed with flavor. It has tomatoes, lychee and pineapple inside, kinda act like a counter for the spice. Steamed fish chili lime is a must try. Very close to what I had in Asia. Strong citrus taste elevated the dish. Great filet skill. Looks and tastes yummy. The place is clean and modern. Indoor and outdoor seating. It's right next to the train track tho, prob every hour there's a train (really loud). The staff are very nice and friendly. She came back several times to make sure we got all we need. Lovely restaurant. I will definitely want to come back again.

They had outdoor seating as well. The menu had several exciting dishes like crab curry, duck, several branzinos, fried rice and noodles. We started with the thai iced tea that was decent. We ordered the spring rolls for appetizers, which were also fine. For entree, I got the steamed branzino on chili lime sauce. It was exactly how I anticipated, a whole branzino filet soaked in delicious citrus flavor sauce. I wish they had poured more of the sauce in the dish. But still loved it. The crispy duck with red curry was delicious too, but the duck was extra fried. Finally we got the mango sticky rice that came with two delicious halves of mango, but the rice needed more coconut/sticky milk. After we ate the top portion of the rice, rest of the 80% rice was just regular. The service was wonderful. For a small place, they had 3 staff members attending all the tables and a separate member was bringing out all the dishes. They also checked on all the guests multiple times throughout the lunch. Very friendly people. Dishes came out within short intervals as well. Overall really nice Thai spot. I'll be back soon to try some of the other dishes.

I've been to this chain at a few different locations, and it's good. This location offers a bento box, which I thought was a good deal. I ordered the beef bulgogi bento, and it was delicious. My other favorite dishes were the Japche (which had a sweet umami flavor) and the corn cheese (the sweet corn was balanced by the mozzarella cheese). My husband had the LA Kalbi bento, and the ribs were very flavorful. My brother in law had the pork cutlet, which was a big portion. My parents had the seafood bibimbap - they added the sauce already and there was a lot of it so it was pretty spicy. The other locations I've been to let you add the sauce on the side which I prefer. I also ordered the Tteokbokki appetizer with the fried dumplings and shrimp tempura. I saw this all over Instagram/Tiktok, but I think I'm just not a fan of the dish in general (not necessarily just this spot alone). The fried sides were also heavy and the shrimp tempura had a heavy breading instead of the panko I'm used to. I'd skip - but some of the table enjoyed it. This location is also BYOB. Service here was great, and they checked on us often. They also offer side dishes before your entrees came out and the fish cakes were my favorite. Overall, a really good restaurant and you can get good deals if you order the bento boxes! :)

The LA Galbi was absolutely amazing--tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Another must-order is the chicken with cheese, which consistently hits every time. It's rich, savory, and exactly what you're hoping for when you order it. That said, the soondubu (tofu stew) didn't quite live up to expectations. Even when ordered "very spicy," it was lacking both the heat and the depth of flavor you'd expect. It wasn't bad by any means, just a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, SGD Tofu House is a dependable spot with some excellent dishes that keep you coming back--just a few tweaks on the stew would easily push this to a full 5 stars.

I do wish the servers were Persian so I could order in farsi but there was no communication issues so it's fine. We ordered a couple things so we could try a bit of every thing. The kebab platter came with koobideh, barg and chicken with subbed the white rice for cherry rice which turned out to be the star of the show. Even as a Persian, I have never had that rice before.Somehow, and it quickly became delicious. And I immediately text my mom and asked her why she had never made it for me lol We also got ghormeh sabzi which as I told my friends can be hit or miss in flavor and if they would actually like a stew like this. They both actually enjoyed it, and I thought it was pretty close to my mom's recipe. The only sad thing was that we ordered tahdig but the table next to us had ordered 2 large plates and they had no more, which was odd given it was only 1pm and the restaurant opens at 11am. Overall good experience, love that they played Persian music to give it a real deal feel. Will be back!

The service is very attentive. Right when we sat down the host gave us water which was nice. The waiter was a little too attentive, kept coming up to us to ask if we were ready to order when we were not, and just kept coming and coming every two minutes. They give complimentary flat bread which is tasty. Our Persian friend mentioned usually Persian restaurants give the bread with herbs and feta rather than just plain. We did find on the menu the herbs and feta was an extra cost. We had the kebab combo and subbed cherry rice and salad (which is cucumbers and tomatoes) and also exchanged the ground chicken kebab for a chicken breast kebab. The standout was the steak kebab and the cherry rice. There were so many cherries in the rice, and it was both sweet and savory. I couldn't stop eating it. The steak was super juicy and well seasoned. I also really like the roasted tomato on the side, basil and pickled cabbage. We ordered a stew, think it was Ghormeh sabzi. It had a bunch of herbs in it, and beans and a dried lime. Was told not to eat the lime. It was a very strong and rich stew, I took a couple of bites. Don't think I could have eaten the whole thing. It's very strong. It's our friend's favorite Persian dish and she loved it. There was one dish we wanted that they ran out of but they gave us a couple of dollars off the bill which was nice. Overall excellent food! Would come back.

We stopped in mid-week for a family dinner after work and even on a Wednesday the place was buzzing. The restaurant itself is pretty tiny, which makes for a cozy atmosphere but also means tables are very close together. If you can, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The menu is somewhat minimal, but the food overall was good. I eat gluten-free and noticed the options were a bit limited, which made ordering slightly challenging. I ended up going with the sea scallops. They were nicely cooked, but the portion was smaller than I expected--five small scallops with some vegetables. For the price, I do wish the portion had been a bit more generous. I have to admit I left still a little hungry. My dad ordered the short rib grilled cheese and really enjoyed it. That was probably the standout dish at our table. My sister ordered the honey bourbon chicken and said it was okay, but afterward she mentioned she probably should have gone with the short rib grilled cheese instead. One surprise of the night was live music on a Wednesday. I usually enjoy live music, but since we were hoping to catch up as a family it made conversation a little difficult. The music was fairly loud for such a small space. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. They also have a rewards program, which worked out nicely--my dad received a complimentary dessert for his birthday. I ordered the crème brûlée, which was a great way to end the meal. A couple practical tips: parking in Ridgewood can be tricky. The restaurant advertises valet parking, though we didn't use or see it during our visit. If you find street parking, make sure to feed the meter because the town is known for giving out tickets. In warmer months they do offer some outdoor sidewalk seating, though it looks fairly limited. It also appears they have a happy hour, though we didn't arrive in time to try it. Overall, I'd recommend checking out Steel Wheel Tavern--just be mindful of the timing of your visit, especially if you're hoping for a quieter dinner.

This was obviously an emotional day for our family, but he and his team created exactly the right atmosphere: elegant and classy, but still warm, comfortable, and family-centered. Our group of 32 guests was able to relax, talk, laugh, remember my mother, and truly enjoy being together. The food was outstanding from start to finish. This is authentic Italian cuisine prepared with real care. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and memorable. There was not a single mediocre item served. The short ribs and branzino were particular standouts, but honestly, everything was excellent. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. When we went through all the bread, they went across the street to a local bakery to get more. When we were short on white wine, they helped procure additional bottles. At the end of the meal, Massimo even gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne to take home as a thank you. Those kinds of gestures say a lot about the heart of a restaurant. Every person in our group raved about the experience. Osteria Sola is a hidden gem right in the middle of town, and more people need to discover it.
