Long story short: The folks at Ridgeway care about your business and doing a good job. They have a 30-day guarantee to back up their work. The prices are fair, and they are very responsive when it comes to getting in touch with you. I recommend their services. My interactions: I inherited a mower that could not make it through a full mowing without crapping out. I checked the filter, drained the lines, topped up the fluids but nothing helped. Lots of folks recommended Ridgeway, this small family-owned business. I called to make an appointment, and they saw me very shortly. They did an inspection and recommended a tuneup (which, it hadn't had for a few years). I took it home and the mower made it through most of a mowing before dying. The second mowing I only made it half way. I called them up, they told me about their 30-day guarantee, and I brought it back. Wayne took a look at it, said he'd do a proper cleaning out of the carburetor and could have it ready for me the next day. He even tested it for 45 minutes to make sure it could go the full time and still mow some grass; that's going the extra mile for your customer! I have a lawn mower that doesn't owe me anything. A few weeks ago, I made an appointment with Ridgeway to fix my snow blower, after a rival company failed to show up for an appointment that I scheduled when the weather was still warm. Found Ridgeway Mower online because I was frustrated with the other two lawnmower repair places that I was using. Had no problem finding this place using Google Map. The service garage is in a very nice area. The clerk helped me unload my mower and was very professional. The mechanic had my mower blade off and back on my mower in twenty minutes. I was in and out in less than half an hour. The minor repair on my mower was well done also. Prices are very reasonable. Unlike the other places, the blade was well-sharpened. Ridgeway mower repair is a great find. It is small business tucked away in South baltimore. I brought my push mower to them last year after I gave up trying to fix it. I have used Ridgeway's mobile mower service for the past two years on my Zero Turn Cub Cadet - annual maintenance tune ups. I can't recommend their services going forward following this years annual tune up. To explain, I had Ridgeway come out in late February to perform the tune up - no issues were noted through the tune up (battery checked out, oil / filter / spark plug changes, blade sharpened, etc). Short jump forward to April, and upon taking the mower out (garage kept) for the first lawn cut, the battery failed and I noted that the engine oil level was marginally above the "low" level on the dipstick - measured on a level surface. So, I contacted Ridgeway immediately and spoke with Wayne (the self identified owner of Ridgeway). Wayne basically deflected any responsibility for the apparently poor service work performed on the mower and was not willing to schedule an immediate service visit (outside of normal operating hours) to correct the issues raised. A mobile mower service is a great thing when you own a riding mower, but if you can't trust that the service work you are paying for is being completed you have to look elsewhere or just perform the work yourself. I have to advise those looking at Ridgeway to also look elsewhere based on this experience. read more
