When we did select a car, he was very accommodating letting us take it locally to have it checked out, even offering to have someone take it there. After passing the inspection, the purchase process was very easy. Jack told us that if there were issues afterward, he'd take care of them. True to his word, when we did have a few minor problems, he took care of them at no cost to us. Buying a used car is always such a tedious process. Working with Jack at Colonial made it much better!

That tells me either they are not repairing the cars themselves or they are just not repairing them. I told him it didn't require much effort, use a selfie stick or drop to the ground and snap. Ironically, the response to that email was the quickest I received from him, stating the vehicle was sold. I didn't believe him. Hubby and I had a few other vehicles to check out in that area this was our first stop, guess what, no sold sign on it and it was sitll on the lot. We took it for a ride, the tranny whined, the bumper was smashed in a pit (photos on line had no indication of this), rust beginning at the bottom of the quarter panels (again no indication in the photos) and while we test drove it the emergency brake was frozen on, even those the brake itself was not engaged inside the vehicle. Had a funny feeling about this place, that's why we went to see if the truck was sold, in which the dealership still says it is to which I responded that I hoped they at least told the buyers of the issues they are buying. Rob the salesman told me not to contact him again. When we drove up and saw a one bay garage with all those used cars, I knew it wasn't any place we'd buy from and after driving the vehicle, we for sure knew it wasn't. First, I…read moredidn't check their asking price against the average market price for the vehicle and over-paid by a lot (my fault-was in the midst of radiation treatments and wasn't thinking clearly). Second. and this is something that I have never done before. I neglected to have the vehicle inspected by a local mechanic. Big, big mistake. Within ten days, I had to have had rotors and pads brake work done on the front and rear of the vehicle AND about $350 spent on fixing an oil leak. Other posters here have identified similar problems occurring shortly after purchase. There are only two reasons for this: (1) THEY DON'T INSPECT THE VEHICLES FOR PROBLEMS, OR (2) THEY DO BUT DON'T DO THE REPAIR WORK AND DON'T ADVISE THE POTENTIAL BUYER OF THE PROBLEMS. My advice. First check the price against listings elsewhere for similar vehicles AND have the vehicle inspected by an independent mechanic. When I was in the process of buying the vehicle, I asked the salesperson why there were so many negative reviews. His response, "you can't please everyone" is food for thought.

It has been two and a half months, and I still do not have permanent plates, registration, title, or a valid inspection sticker. My temporary plates and registration expired over a month and a half ago, making the vehicle illegal to drive. The dealership has never once proactively contacted me. I've had to call weekly and show up in person for updates. When I asked for a loaner so I could legally drive, the sales manager told me, "Why should I give you a loaner car?" I even requested to return the vehicle and get my down payment and payments refunded. They said they'd take the car back but wouldn't return all of my money.
