Very satisfied customer here. This mom-wagon does most anything i ask of it, and will zoom out for, e.g. getting on interstates. 16 mpg, short trips, reg gas.

He came to me on a Saturday asking if I would drive him to purchase a car( since he had to quit working) and his car was having too many problems. It was almost 5PM and Saturday, so he wanted to go to a used car dealer rather than a new car dealer. I remembered one on Rt.46 in Ledgewood from a few years back, but didn't know how late they stayed open. I dcided to take him there and see.They were open and I told him to wait in the car while I went in. The owner and the sales mgr. were there and I told them why I was there and told them I had a friend with a serious medical condition who needed a vehicle for a year ( or longer depending on his health) and he didn't want to spend a lot, but needed a car that didn't have a high frequency of repairs and was reliable even with higher mileage. By the way, my neighbor found 2 or 3 cars that were recommended in Consumer reports that he was interested in, and Ridgemont had two of them in their stock.To make a long story short, they said to bring him in, and not worry about when they were going to close. The Sales Mgr. went outside with my friend and me and showed us the two cars that he was interested in. The first one was a higher mileage vehicle and looked passible but the Sales Mgr. didn't recommend purchasing it. The second one was very clean, lower mileage, priced very well and had just gotten in to their inventory. It had a valid inspection sticker which was new and good until 2027. it was a 2018 and my friend and I checked every option to see if they worked( which they did).The price was very good but the Sales Mgr dropped the price a little more without asking, and even said they would give a 3 mos. /3,000 mile warranty on top of everything.Now, I was a Director of Marketing for 35 years and I know Customer Service. Also, I didn't tell you, my neighbor was also an excellent mechanic for a local Service Center, who was a brake, tire, and front end specialist.( plus, he could fix almost anything). My point being, these two people at Ridgemont spent a great deal of time, being courteous, professional, and friendly to my neighbor, that made me feel the least I could do was write a review.Also, I would recommend Ridgemont to anyone looking for a used car, and I know people do have problems, even those that buy luxury cars, for a few reasons. It doesn't cost you anything to go there and look ( no hard sell), also you can still shop around, next you still can negotiate if you want, last they are polite, courteous, and professional, and you can talk to them without being rushed. I just sent another customer there and I'll wait to hear what they say after the purchase. Their stock was pretty wide and diverse so you should be able to find something.Again,it doesn't cost you anything to look.

Horrible experience at Towne Toyota in Ledgewood, NJ. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere…read more I purchased a Toyota Certified Pre-Owned 2023 Toyota RAV4 from Towne Toyota in April 2026. Before purchasing, I noticed cosmetic damage that had been poorly repaired. The general manager acknowledged it and reduced the price, so I decided to move forward. Unfortunately, the problems started immediately. On the drive home, I heard a noise and discovered a piece of the exterior body molding coming loose and falling off. I returned to the dealership, where it was simply reattached. About a week later, I began experiencing braking issues. The brakes did not seem to stop the vehicle properly; the brake pedal would sink almost to the floor, and eventually a Brake warning light appeared. I contacted the general manager and brought the vehicle in. Before any technician inspected it, the service manager got into my vehicle, pressed buttons, shifted it into gear, and applied the parking brake until the warning light disappeared. When I asked why he would clear the warning before it could be diagnosed, he offered no explanation. Fortunately, the employee who checked me in had already seen the warning light, and I also had a photo of it. After waiting more than an hour, I was told the vehicle was safe to drive. Almost immediately after leaving, the Brake warning light returned, forcing me to turn around. I was then told the vehicle needed a new sensor and battery, but the sensor was not in stock, requiring another trip. About a week later, the Brake warning light came on again. During my next visit, the service manager became argumentative and raised his voice, claiming the problem was the steering angle sensor--the same component I had been told was already replaced. Toyota states that the Brake warning light can indicate a braking system failure and advises drivers to pull over immediately and have the vehicle towed. Despite this, I was repeatedly told the vehicle was safe to drive. The dealership eventually agreed to replace additional braking components, but the necessary parts were again unavailable, requiring yet another trip. Since the dealership is about an hour from my home, these repeated visits resulted in significant lost time. When I finally received a loaner vehicle, nearly two weeks passed without a single update. After I contacted the dealership, I was told the Brake warning light had returned even after additional repairs, meaning they still had not resolved the issue. While checking the Toyota app, I noticed my vehicle was parked at a residential address instead of the dealership. I later learned the service manager had taken my vehicle home, which further damaged my confidence in how it was being handled. About two months later, I returned because the suspension felt unusually soft and unstable. The vehicle floated over the road, had excessive body roll, bounced over small bumps, and produced loud banging noises from the driver's side front suspension. The paint is also peeling in several areas, and rust is beginning to form. The service manager photographed the damage but never explained what would be done or whether it would be covered. This has been the most problematic vehicle I have ever owned. Between the repeated safety concerns, unsuccessful repair attempts, poor communication, and dismissive customer service, I have completely lost confidence in Towne Toyota. I cannot recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership and will never do business with them again.

From start to finish, it was easy, relaxed, and exactly how getting a new car should feel. Dean was willing to go above and beyond. He sent me detailed videos, answered questions, and even negotiated mostly everything via text, which was incredibly convenient. I'll admit, I half expected something to change or go wrong once I arrived at the dealership to finalize everything but nope. It was smooth sailing from there, and Dean was somehow even nicer in person. I also really enjoyed chatting and sharing a few laughs with Arman while I waited for the paperwork. He helped pair my phone and was genuinely excited to walk me through all the new features in the truck, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. Thinking back on it, all the employees were warm and welcoming and for the first time, visiting a dealership didn't actually suck.

While the choices were slim elsewhere, Colonial had multiple cars to choose from. The manager, Jack, was a pleasure to work with. When we did select a car, he was very accommodating letting us take it locally to have it checked out, even offering to have someone take it there. After passing the inspection, the purchase process was very easy. Jack told us that if there were issues afterward, he'd take care of them. True to his word, when we did have a few minor problems, he took care of them at no cost to us. Buying a used car is always such a tedious process. Working with Jack at Colonial made it much better!

The over payment was supposed to be $87 but there was a $25 late payment deducted from it which makes no sense at all since I paid it when I bought the car, but nonetheless it has been a year and I've called four or five times and each time explained that I still hadn't received anything and they say they will look into it and call me back and nobody ever does. Its terrible that no one there cares to help me solve this problem. It's the little things that say a lot about a dealership.

We bought our ford explorer there and traded in our bronco (they never paid the loan to our trade in) and then it took 2 months to finally get our registration for our explorer. No apologies for the delays (only excuses). Would never buy a car from them again nor would I recommend them to anyone.
