There's now a cement walkway all the way down through the park, plus more covered areas and trash cans than before. I wish they had kept more of the grass because it seems harsh for 99% of the park to be gravel and sand. It's also disappointing they got rid of the wooden play structure by the grassy area, but they kept the platform by one of the entrances.

We ran on the trails abutting the space for practice and had fun spotting the occasional grazing deer or scurrying chickaree (North American red squirrel). We all wanted the meadow to stay or go a more nature way, however urban development/urban sprawl quickly ensued and in a few years the meadow was replaced with an off-leash dog park. The track and field at Shoreline Community College I used for walking when earning my associate degree there (graduated June 2010), however that space now serves as a parking lot for the college. Hence, if one wants a flattened area for walking near the college, the dog park is conveniently located neighboring the campus. On a side of the off-leash area towards the trail system of Shoreview Park, Hidden Lake, and Boeing Creek Park is an entrance with rules posted and park closing time of day communicated (at dusk), as of Thursday 7 September 2023. I used to walk dog(s) down by Hidden Lake, we enjoyed watching the ducks swimming in the lake. However, in the past couple years the lake has been filled in, hence no more watching the ducks in the lake. Sad that more and more space is being taken away from the wildlife, but it is just the way of the city these days.

I don't know why, but I have always been scared crossing the bridge over the railroad tracks on the way from the parking lot to the beach. I have no fear of heights, and in fact I feel much more peaceful in the air or on the water than I do on the earth. The bridge is sturdy and safe, with tall, secure fencing on both sides. Little kids were crossing it today with no fear at all. One little kid was getting pulled across it in a large wagon. That was pretty cute to see. It is a bit of a trek from the parking lot to the beach area, a trek that includes this perfectly safe bridge which I somehow mysteriously feel scared while walking on. I recently injured my right heel playing tennis, so I was limping and hobbling and walking quite slowly, but this walk was still quite doable for me today. There were a lot of people at this beach park today, but it really didn't feel crowded, and everyone we talked to was friendly. The only slight bummer was that one of the reasons that we went out there today was to talk with a Naturalist from the Seattle Aquarium. We talked with 3 different Naturalists. They were all friendly enough, but all 3 of them seemed noticeably unenthusiastic about talking about the sea life at this beach park. Oh well, we moved on pretty quickly from that, and we really enjoyed this beach park anyway. There were a few people flying kites, and the mountains looked clear and bright behind the sunlit water. I waded in the water (one of my favorite things to do in life), and the cold waves breaking over my legs and feet felt wonderful on a hot day like today. 5 stars for sure. This place is so beautiful.

One thing we noticed was a couple of smaller dogs wanting to instigate, but the staff was very proactive on noticing the behaviors and acting on them. Our belgian is a newly added rescue family member of ours and is still adjusting, everyone we told that to completely understood. this is a great place for dog people.

There is also beer and wine and some hard cider in cans. No draft beer. Alex, is the person that runs the place and she is friendly and helpful. Her duties apparently also include breaking up the occasional dog brawl. My Cavalier Spaniel seemed to have a good time running and playing with other dogs. There is both a large dog area and a small dog area. Small dogs are free to play with the big boys but only small dogs are allowed in the small dog area, which also has an indoor and outdoor play area. I had a beer and a hot dog and enjoyed watching Boomer run and play. This place is a little far for me but I was really curious about it and I'm glad I came out. Oh, if you want to bro g your dog here, make sure you have their vaccination records which are required before your dog can socialize. That's it! Woof!

I live far where I have to take a ferry across the water to get to seattle/everrett area. Unfortunately because of the ferry system and events occurring downtown the boats were over an hour late. With this location I had initially put a request to drop off my dog at 3pm Saturday and pickup Sunday afternoon. But due to the ferry system I was very late but luckily The company was very accommodating and were understanding of the traffic situations I sadly didn't reach the location until 8pm, happily They have someone at the location 24/7 to watch all the pups and help take my dog in for the night. They keep you updated with texts and photos of your doggy so you know they are safe and even have a live cam you can monitor your dog with. He received spoiled treats and a lot of exercise and socialization. He could play all day. Picking him up was smooth as well. They gave me a update of his night He passed out on the way home tail still wagging. Picking him up he looked happy and excited 10/10 would recommend and go again
