Love this place! The people are nice it's all about the Dogs there they have a great drink selection and good hours! I highly recommend them over any other similar establishment.

We have had a membership for years and appreciate the community being cultivated for dogs and their owners. We have tried a couple other dog park bars in the city and our dog hasn't loved them as much as Dogwood. It's been awesome to watch this business grow over the years and see the improvements being made to the space. The owners and staff are lovely people!

Even has an area for holiday photo! Love it.

First time here over the weekend. The instructions posted on their website is helpful. Prior to our visit, I sent in my pup's vaccination records. Next day upon arrival, checked in was smooth and onto play time for the pup. Space is easy to locate, there is street parking right in front of it. The space is large and clean. So clean and it didn't even smell like wet dog! Wow. Beverages and snacks are available for purchase. Lots of sitting spots for owners. Will be back. Thanks for creating this space!

Cannot say enough good things about this place. It has been the best thing for our sweet dog, Piper! We've been to a few dog parks/bars and none compare to this one. It is by far the biggest- indoor and outdoor. Has a great drink selection and lots of friendly dogs. Everyone who works there is so friendly and truly care about the dogs and the environment. The price is so reasonable and such an amazing place for getting your dog to get that energy out and get socialized. Hands down the BEST place for dogs in Seattle and other surrounding areas. It's always got a good amount of dogs too so your dog will always have plenty of other dogs to play with. There are also lots of dogs who just like to play with themselves and it works best for both. Love the gentle side too incase your dog is a bit more on the shy side. Cutest ambiance too 10 out of 5 stars all the way!!!

I come from a pretty extensive canine educational background studying canine behavior, nutrition and training for the last 12 years... and over the years I've completely shunned off leash dog parks, daycares or any uncontrollable environment for my dog to socialize in. But I have to tip my hat to this place. I got a golden retriever back in October and after lots of training, I felt he and I both were ready to experience the off leash play environment with dogs he had never met... And I wouldn't have done that anywhere except at DogWood. Lots of places like this advertise that their staff help manage the dogs and keep owners accountable but Dogwood is the only place I've seen that ACTUALLY does that. And I've been to maybe 3 or 4 other similar dog bar type places. My last dog was a pit/lab mix and he did really well at Dogwood as well. What makes these types of places work is the staff and I'm really happy to see that over the years that have kept that expectation of accountability. I plan to bring my dog back and even hopefully have his 1st birthday party here as well in their super cool indoor and outdoor rental space. Side notes: -LOVE the extra turf they have put out all over the outside yard. -Love the extra grip pads they put in the inside. -And for anyone who's complaining that they get talked to because their dog barks too much... they are right too. Excessive barking can lead to problems in many social situations and it's just rude behavior. So is mounting/humping, hyper fixation/prey drive... Just saying. Don't get mad at the staff because your dog had rude behavior and they are keeping you accountable. Only downfall... I wish I lived closer :)

In brief: this place is noting short of WONDERFUL (minus 1 star for parking!) I have been going there for 2.5 years since I got my first dog. I now have 2 dogs and despite the difference in their personalities, they both love love lovee coming to this place! Before COVID, no reservations were required and from my understanding we could stay as long as we wanted. However, reservations are now required for 1.5-hour play time. They have a wide variety of bottled and canned beers and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic and beverages (but no food). I hope they will consider having on-tap beers in the future. :P I love the fact that they have monthly events like Doodle Romp, Corgi Meetup, and particularly Small Dog Play. I wish they'd have Small Dog Play more often because 1) both of my dogs are small, 2) on a normal day, there are much less small dogs than bigger ones, and 3) although they have a small (or shy/old) dog area and a big (active) dog area, the small dog side usually has way less dogs. Staff are always friendly and flexible. Guests (humans and dogs) are respectful of one another. Parking IS tricky especially now that it is by reservation only and everyone arrives and leaves around the same time. Other than that, no other complaints. :) We love hanging there and love the upgrade they've made with the decorations and fireplace.

I came for the first time for a birthday party. My dog liked it so much that the next day my partner and I came with him and signed up for a membership! Here's the thing - I don't like dog parks in general. I think they are a hotbed of bad behavior (human and dog) and pretty risky all around. Dogwood is different. The rules are enforced - (look at the other ratings, the negative ones are from ages ago. Maybe they improved?) - there are staff and "regulars" all over the place, keeping eyes on behavior and monitoring sizes, barking, play, etc. They require spay/neuter, which automatically helps keep things calmer. Being able to grab a cider and a snack and watch my pup play is SO cool! The people (guests and staff) were friendly, and more importantly, so were the dogs! Max made some great friends, and his energy was appreciated and not scolded! (He's not quite two. He's energetic, but not aggressive or reactive.) They request that people not bring treats or personal toys into the play area, and this really does cut down on resource guarding and similar behavior. They told me they wash/sterilize the balls every night, and that made me feel good. This is Max's new favorite place!! My partner and I plan on at least once/week outings here!!!!

When I heard of an indoor dog park with beer (and no children), I knew I had to add Dogwood Play Park to my list of places to visit in Seattle. What a great idea for a very rainy city. My chihuahua min pin mix had a blast playing with new friends during our visit to town. There's two dog areas - active and non active. Both have outside areas for your fur babies to go potty. We started in the non active side as my chi gets anxious at first, but then ended up on the active side. Parents get to enjoy a local brew (cans only, no tap), and fur babies get to socialize! I recommend checking out their website to make sure your pet is updated on vaccines before heading over. The vaccine rules come with no exceptions, but that gives me peace of mind knowing my bundle of joy won't catch anything at this dog park. Best part, there was a little dog bakery counter that you bet I stopped by after our playtime before heading back to the hotel. Now how to get one of these in PDX..

I had such a wonderful time here with my pup!

Def recommend when you want your dog to socialize and grab a drink :) Finding parking was a bit hard but it was definitely worth it!

Dogwood is our favorite dog park! The staff truly cares about each dog and is quick to help resolve any issue. The owners are frequently working or on-site and take really pride in their business. The park itself is huge with great indoor and outdoor areas and is someone you can go in any weather. This place is for the dogs and is full wonderful people. Dogwood is a community and somewhere we're lucky to have!

We had the best time here for a smaller dog Halloween party. Staff are very friendly and the place was surprisingly super clean for a busy dog park. It's much bigger inside than it appears from the outside. Not they have any control over it, but parking is such a pain. Also wish we didnt live so far, this is an awesome place to lounge around with your dog. Our dog had a good time, even though she's socially awkward. Oh, and no beers on tap which is a bummer. But they have a nice variety, averaging about $5.

I've been wanted to take our 1 year old lab here for awhile now and finally visit today. What a great spot!! Dogwood is easily accessible right off of 522 in Lake City. They have a few parking spots and there is plenty of street parking. The entrance is by the yard, not by the building. There are plenty of signs directing you to the entrance. They ask that you email your dogs shot records prior to visiting to expedite the check in process. Check their website for the email address. When I emailed the records in, they replied right away confirming receipt and acceptance! You check in before playing where they'll confirm your records, give you a run down on the rules, and pay your entrance fee. They also have BEER AND WINE!!! Don't mind if I do. They really have thought of everything. Cubbies for leashes, sanitized toys, plenty of clean up supplies, benches and tables for the humans. They have a wrangler roaming the space to make sure the dogs are playing nicely and people are being responsible pet owners. I found everyone to be respectful and mindful of their dogs, which was a huge bonus. There is an indoor and outdoor area for the dogs to play in. A word a caution, the floor can get slippery for both the pups and the humans. Once it got more crowded the dogs couldn't run as much and it wasn't as much of an issue. Our pup loved it. She got a treat from the Seattle Barkery after and she thought it was the best day ever!

What a fun spot for dog owners and their dogs! I came as a guest last weekend and was in doggy heaven! It was truly an amazing experience hanging out with all these adorable dogs while sipping on my grapefruit cider. This is a really cool concept and I hope to see more of these pop up in Seattle because I can see it getting really popular and well-frequented since Seattle is such a dog-friendly city. Like others mentioned, the parking can be tough on weekends because it's a small street behind Lake City Way.

Pupper at the park!! Baci approves!

There's also a cool statue here if you're interested, and if you go down the steps there's a small playground. I'm not sure if I've ever seen anyone use the playground though, since there are no bathrooms associated with the park and small kids can have bathroom emergencies. There are businesses nearby where I guess you could technically ask to use the washrooms, but it's just another hassle. Note: street parking only.

Magnuson off leash park is HUGE to put it simply. At the entrance are some hoses to hydrate the dogs or hose them down quickly before entering of leaving. On really hot days I'll spray my pup quickly to cool him down. From there, there is another little area not as big as the main area, but there are some additional benches and is a bit more secluded than the main. The main area has a little info board, lost and found and a covering with a table and bench so you can set things down if need be. There is a path that's maybe 0.5 mile walk that leads to the main attraction here, a nice little cove of water where the pups can go jump in the water. It's great. My pup is a tri-pawd and doesn't really swim but does like the water. There is a nice long running mat that leads into the water. Best Off leash area I've visited thus far.

Most people were very friendly and watched their dogs at all times and kept great control, but there was small black and white, perhaps Shitzu/terrier mix or something named Max, who continued to come over and bark at my dogs which upset Oggie and made him feel defensive and he would then bark and growl. At one point while Oggie was on leash with me Max came over and started in and they went around and round with me continuing to pull my dog away with the leash, while Max's people just watched and called him. They did finally come over and physically pick Max up and moved him away from us. I was told by others that Max is a regular there and can often be an instigator. We will make sure to not go again at peak hours and will check out other bigger off leash parks. My dogs never had problems at the off leash park where we lived before and are quite used to going. The park was pretty and well groomed although smaller than what we are used to.

From an urban park perspective, the only other experience that comes close for me is when I moved to the Old Town Manchester neighborhood in Richmond, Virginia, and had Belle Isle in my backyard, which offers access to hiking, large flat rocks for sunbathing, and whitewater rafting on Class II, III, and IV rapids on the James River right in the middle of downtown. Okay, back to Discovery Park. I spent an entire day exploring the park. I started by ordering a carryout lunch at Damoori Kitchen, which is now closed according to Yelp. I then walked to Discovery Park and hiked the 4.4-mile Discovery Park and Lighthouse Loop. A map for that trail can be accessed using a trail app. The loop trail took me through several ecosystems such as coastal meadows, tidal beaches, forest groves, sand dunes, and vast stretches of thickets with wild berries. Once I finished hiking the loop, I walked back to Damoori Kitchen and caught a rideshare back to downtown Seattle. Highlights from my Discovery Park adventure included eating lunch at the tidal beach, exploring sea cliffs, seeing jaw-dropping views of Mount Rainier, hiking past the West Point Lighthouse, and experiencing the sights, sounds, flora, and fauna of the park's majestic landscape.
