Besides the books there are cute stickers and haircuts along with various other flotsam including some fun bookmarks--peep these in the "naughty" section.

If you have a genre or specific title you like they can recommend other titles that may interest your. The shop itself has a great layout and so many wonderful titles to choose from. They have a spicy section if you want something a little heavier than standard dark romance. The books are a little pricy but your paying to support a local business and not an evil corporate conglomerate. I highly recommend swinging by.

Ordered a triple shot over ice with vanilla and the cashier person looked at us like we were from mars and legitimately asked "..shots of...?" totally condescending. Espresso--the answer is espresso, person at the cash register of a café. I inquired about whether this was an unusual order (based on the response when we've ordered this probably hundreds of times in and around seattle, it's not) and they responded that "well, people usually want it in a latte or some other drink". Alright, cool. We let it go. But what prompted me to write this review is this persons final comment. a good while after this convo was done and we'd paid and about to step away to wait for our drink, this person just had to convince themselves they were right, saying "yeah people usually say three shot americano that's why i was like huh". three shots over ice is not an americano. it's three shots over ice. an americano is diluted with water. and not what we wanted....which is why we didn't order it. visit in one word: meh. My advice is to go somewhere that will actually appreciate you being there. especially when there are 10 other shops in a mile radius. no need to be looked at like you are an inconvenience. Cheers!

I stopped by this shop while I waited for the pie shop next door to open, and I'm grateful for it. Staff were very friendly, left me to walk around as I looked for a book, and were helpful when I let them know the genre I typically like. They were well read, kind of like librarians. I found two great books, one of which is now one of my favorites and the other that I have yet to read, made it to Barack Obama's list for the year so it seems interesting. I have since visited again to pick up more books. Would recommend a visit!

They had a fantastic selection of puzzle books, which was what I was seeking, and at reasonable prices. The shipping was smooth and efficient, even choosing media mail, which can be slower. I loved the update emails they sent - their tone as well as the helpful info. Will hope to go there in person one of these days!
