So helpful, and will help as much as you want or not want. If you dont know what you want, they provide very thoughtful recommendations but also spend time to ask questions to fully understand you. Great selection of flavors and genre that I didnt even know existed. You wont break the bank discovering your inner lover! More than just books, great gifts, and side quest purchases you didn't know you needed!

I've been to this place twice while visiting Seattle. It's in a tiny shopping center. It's very blink and you'll miss it. It's easy to find parking. I do have to mention that this place is very adult, 18 plus vibes. So leave the young readers at home for this one. If you have an adult sense of humor, you might like some of the gifts and specialized bookmarks. I love how they display their books and categorize. This is what introduced me to cozy witchy romance. There's even an entire section for dark fantasy romance. A different selection than what I normally see, but that's a good thing! I would love to attend their events in the future. I have been following their socials showing thematic book release parties. Friendly staff and prices are about the same as their MSRP. However they do have discounts and specials from time to time. Highly recommend for the romance enthusiast

Not even of the books we were looking at. She literally said, "I need in this section so you're going to need to move to a different area." She had the most awful and rude tone. She was extremely rude in how she asked and then proceeded to literally argue with me in the store because I tried to explain that those were the books we came to the store to look at. I have never had an experience with an employee like that literally anywhere in my entire life!! That woman should not be interacting with customers in any way shape or form. I didn't say anything to another employee and we just left because it was so upsetting. But I probably should have because if I was the owner or manager of the store, I would want to if is one of my employees was speaking to my customers that way.

So, I decided to head to the Everett Mall (I was meeting up with some friends in Everett to game that night), because someone told me about Wishes. I was concerned that it would be a toy store with a few games in the back. No way! This place is Boardgame heavy. In fact, I saw titles and expansions I wouldn't expect to see in any Boardgame store. Dice? Not much of a selection. At all. I wanted a block of 36 D6s from Chessex. They might have had a handful of Chessex polyhedral sets. I was disappointed. But I decided to walk through the boardgane section. Again, Wow! Lots of depth of titles. I think I saw Twilight Imperium from a row away, and I thought, 'Would they have any Cthulhu Wars expansions? Nah, not in a mall, right?' OMG. I was so wrong. I found a shelf practically dedicated to Cthulhu Wars and Dark Souls! I highly recommend Wishes in the Everett Mall! The two employees I met (Zack and John?) were both friendly and helpful. I ended up buying a Cthulhu Wars expansion - The Sleeper. I still can't believe they had it in stock.

It's what every neighborhood needs, really. Ridgecrest Books is located in the Ridgecrest neighborhood of Shoreline, which isn't huge, but has just what this cozy area needs. Among other businesses, Ridgecrest Books is one of the few businesses on a central street with plenty of street parking. My friends and I visited during the Seattle Independent Bookstore Day, so it was pretty busy in the small bookstore, but was still a welcoming experience. They even had discounted books on racks outside the store, in addition to the collection inside. They don't have the largest book collection here, but it's curated well. I also love that this bookstore is dog friendly! Anytime I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop by and check out what's new at this wonderful, neighborhood bookstore.

I stopped by for the grand opening (3/9/24), had a chance to congratulate one of the owners and sign their guest book. They've been working hard restoring the site. Bright, inviting, lovely bookshelves and custom book ends. Filled with various book titles and subjects. And if applicable, nice corner spot for the kiddos! There are also store merch like onesies, Tshirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, cards, and stickers. It was nice to stop by and get an overview of their offerings. It will be nice to be able to place bookorders in my actual city, in addition to my faves in Seattle and Lake Forest Park. There's ample street parking, located at 165th & 5th near Crest Theater, Cafe Aroma, and Drumlin. Nice retail area growing in Ridgecrest!
