Been with them for about 8 months now. Service is even better than when we started with them. Great people, speedy replies and quick fixes anytime something pops up. Super happy with my choice. read more

It turns out that because I live in a valley and can't get the Ridge signal. In the process of discovering this, Mike went way way above and beyond to help me try to figure out other solutions. The customer service that he provides is quick, informative and absolutely top-notch! I wish I could have been a customer. read more

I live in a senior community that is difficult to get internet service and was paying for a speed I wasn't receiving. I switched to Ridge and wish I'd known about them sooner. Their speed is "minimum guaranteed" not "up to" a number. I'm now getting a speed faster for less. Eric came twice to ensure they could get a direct line of sight to their cell tower, was knowledgable, helpful with additional computer issues that weren't really his problem and stayed late to finish the job even after the Warriors vs Cav game began! Superior service! Highly recommend! read more

Wonderful internet service with Ridge Wireless. Mike Lyon is so responsive and really knows his stuff. He goes out of his way to give great service. read more

Ridge is an independent family-run business. Very professional and knowledgeable staff who take ownership and provide solutions. Microwave/wireless technology and communications is the technology of choice moving forward and with it one would benefit of all the progress made as the application space and needs grow exponentially. We had a relatively involved installation - primarily because of location. Verizon (now Frontier) was/is the only "wired" alternative at our location. As noted by many Frontier's service and network stability is at best spotty and very unstable and more times than not nonexistent. Comcast "offered" a $15k solution to bring their fiber-optic services located 300ft from our house. With a very affordable installation fee we are currently getting superior, fast and stable service and connection with Ridge and in turn supporting a local and very deserving business. read more

I had reached out to Ridge Wireless due to being unhappy with our current home WiFi and seeking to potentially have them come out to install their equipment. Mike emailed me back within minutes (this was a Saturday evening!) and asked some additional questions to find out what the problems were. After describing my situation, he advised that essentially our system just needed some tweaking and they he didn't think that their equipment was what I needed! He even went so far as to email me a link to the item that he thought I needed to buy, said that the set up was simple, but to let him know if I ran into any problems. I was absolutely amazed -- an honest businessman who turned away a potential customer with instead a suggestion of what I could do to fix the problem myself! I was very impressed with Mike and his concern for the customer rather than his own pocket -- a rare find these days. Thanks again, Mike!! read more

We live up on the Santa Cruz mountains and have been using Ridge Wireless for well over a year now. The company and service is great. They have kept us up and running with internet with each PGE power outage which is of great importance to me as I work from home and need rock solid dependability. We are so happy with Ridge Wireless and highly recommend them. read more

Amazing service with Mike going the extra mile to help. We are purchasing a house the Los Gatos part of the Santa Cruz mountains that only had 2mbs speeds DSL speeds from Frontier. We researched other options and read the reviews on Yelp of Ridge. They seemed too good to be true. In fact they reflect the quality of service you get from Ridge and Mike in particular. He came out to our prospective property twice. The second time because I asked for more detailed info about attainable speeds. We exchanged emails Friday night and despite it being a wet and windy weekend Mike went out to the property and set up his kit and took photos and sent us readings to assure us of the speeds available. Even in bad weather and a really remote location Ridge could get 17 mbs download and 10 mbs upload. We can now be assured in making an offer on the home that we will get internet coverage to enable home working. Superb customer service every time we make contact. read more

As good as internet gets, and I should know, because I need it to support my family. My job title is Enterprise IPTV Network Architect - so believe me when I tell you I have an educated opinion. I've been a Ridge Wireless customer for a year now, and have absolutely, never complained. I endured Comcast while I lived in San Carlos, Verizon in Los Gatos...and now, having bought a home and setting up shop I've had the opportunity to shop Internet Providers. I searched for over a year and finally found the absolute best, without question. Moreover, the support is amazing, and the people are just good people - the folks we want to succeed in Los Gatos - as opposed to Comcast, or Verizon/AT&T, the latter of which we have no idea what the plan is given the AT&T merger with DirecTV; the odd acquisition by AT&T then and quick punt to Frontier. It's a shell game right now, and I certainly don't want to be a part of it. Also, please note that the major providers offer 7-zillion Mbps download, but many times a mere 512 Kb upload - that's the reason your Skype, Facetime, etc. doesn't work the way you expect or desire. The upload speed is how fast your own personal (not the remote party) video is delivered. Happily, It gets gorgeous on Ridge, because they provide symmetrical download and upload. You can download at 10Mbps, and upload at 10Mbps. Other plans are available, but this one fit our family, including my need to *upload* huge media files for work cost effectively. Anyways, if you are close to coming to contract end with any other provider, or can't find a good one - please call Ridge Wireless or hit them at www.ridgewireless.net. They're the real deal. I am a customer, but am in no other way affiliated. I'm just trying to help a really, really good local company. read more

Mike and the team at Ridge have been fantastic. We didn't get standard high speed internet at our business and they were up to the task. When we had minor issues, the guys were on top of figuring out our issues. This can't be said for many isps. If you're in an area where normal high speed internet isn't available, call these guys up. read more

We've been using Ridge Wireless for about 6 years now and it's great. Our access is very high speed and Mike Lyon, the owner, is always available to make changes or to fix problems (that rarely occur anyway). Our businesses rely on 24/7 Internet access. Other companies could not always provide that, but Ridge Wireless does. read more

We highly recommend Mike Lyon and Ridge Wireless service. We live in the Los Gatos mountains with few internet service options. We were on another wireless service and were very disappointed and frustrated with the frequent connection drops, outages and inconsistent internet speeds. Fortunately, some of our neighbors recommended that we try Ridge Wireless. We couldn't be happier with his service. The internet uptime and speed is great now, we have the 5mbps service. Mike Lyon is one of the most prompt and pleasant IT people we have met. For awhile we were having major issues in streaming Downton Abby, my wife's favorite show. Serious right! We emailed Mike and he was right on it. It took a few attempts to resolve the issue but Mike was always pleasant, patient and responsive. He came out and replaced our dish and we have had peace in the family since. Thanks again Mike for all your support and great service! Bern & Alicia read more

Seriously, if I could leave 10 stars I would! I live in the mountains about 5 minutes from Los Gatos. I love our home and where we live. The one challenge we have always had was an ISP. I would have settled for an average provider, but all we ever seemed to get was bad service, real bad. I had Verizon then Frontier, HughesNet (Crooks, they will not throttle your connection when you reach your limit until you pass the refund period). I even had other wireless. They would start ok but the service would get worse. Mike at Ridge Wireless is extremely responsive. I work at home often, at all hours. If I email Mike, I get a response, always! He resolves any issues fast! I could not be happier with the service, I always have great speed and very little latency. If you need fast reliable Internet service with excellent customer service, call Ridge Wireless. read more

After having problems with internet service providers, I started to search for a new reliable provider. Yelp came to the rescue when I found Ridge Wireless. Mike Lyon is very customer service oriented. He came to our home on time (NO 4-hour window...it was a miracle) and quickly sized up whether he could provide service to us. We were pleased that our location would work and set up another appointment for the installation. He arrived on-time for the installation and quickly set up everything needed. Since we've had his service, which we had installed in September, we've had amazingly fast lines. The price is very reasonable for what you get....fast lines, reliable service, and excellent customer service. I'm so glad I found them and switched away from the service I had. It's so refreshing to work with a company that actually follows through and delivers what they promise. read more

Mike is on it. The service is great, works as advertised or better. We had torrential rains this year and it knocked out PG&E Electricity more than once, as well as the phone lines. The internet was back up at the same time or before Power. Where it took Verizon a month to get the phone lines back up. Also, so much faster than DSL. Any time there was any issue, live in the mountains, there are issues. Mike troubleshot it same day, most times same hour. Cant ask for more. read more

Mike saved us from dial-up with a service that is better than my previous Comcast service. The customer service is amazing (again especially compared to Comcast). We are consistently getting 25 Mbps up and down on the 5mps plan - often more (for the 5mbps plan you pay for the average usage). Works great for video calls especially - people keep telling me how clear the picture is. Also you won't be hit by the anti net neutrality practices that are sure to be coming soon from the big players. read more

Ridge Wireless provided excellent internet service for us in our mountain home. We tried another competing service and Ridge was far and away the best. Mike Lyon was always very responsive when there were issues and helpful in walking through technical fixes. read more

I live in a really difficult place to get internet. I have tried a couple of the other providers and could not get reliable service. I signed up with Ridge and they were amazingly nice, completely competent, and highly responsive. Ridge has given me fully functional internet where others failed FOR A YEAR. I highly recommend them if you are in a difficult place to get internet. Mike and Eric both were respectable, diligent, hardworking, nice, and polite. I cannot tell you how happy I am with their service. I recommend them!! read more

These guys are AWESOME! Replaced my wires when they stopped working, super responsive. Service stayed up during the PGE Outages when my mobile carrier failed. Did everything they could to ensure I could game without having to tether my phone (which is what I've had to do). Overall really nice guys. read more

Great Service! I'm in the Los Gatos Hills was with Verizon DSL and it was very slow. Ridge Wireless is fast and reliable. Mike Lyon is one of the most pleasant radio / internet people I have met. The installation only took about an hour. Five Stars+ read more

Mike at Ridge has been simply excellent. From initial install to customer support and follow-up Ridge had been right on. Living near Lexington Reservoir has it's advantages and disadvantages including any viable internet resource. That's where these guys come in and save the day. Ridge wireless is an excellent business class ISP for anyone in the Bay Area needing high speed wireless access. They provide great service and attention to detail that you will never get from the big boys. Mike especially provided fantastic service for us and even came by on a Sunday morning to help sort out some minor issues. We have a brand new building in Santa Clara and it took Mike a week's advance notice to have it all hooked up. The internet connection is very stable, fast, low latency and far exceed expectations. We highly recommend Mike and his team of specialists for anyone who needs high speed internet access. read more

Ridge Wireless (Mike Lyon) was great to work with. He was able to get me service on a building that no one else could. It felt like the Bermuda Triangle before Ridge Wireless. The communication/install/service are all great. Mike has a passion for solving problems and making things work. No contract, no cap, no throttling, fair price. Rare qualities in today's ISPs. I've worked with several other wireless providers but RidgeWireless is by far the best. read more

We live in an area that is not served by Comcast or U-Verse. We have had AT&T DSL for years and have never reliably gotten the bandwidth that they promised. Two neighbors have Ridge Wireless and recommended them. What a difference! For their least expensive plan we have reliable Internet for the first time (it even survived last week's storm with only a 4 minute outage compared to overnight for the DSL, and that was PG&E's outage, not Ridge's), and a guaranteed minimum with equal download and upload. No more having to schedule TV and gaming away from the regular evening slowdown. No more having to forget any Internet during heavy rains. I'm only sorry I didn't follow up with this sooner! read more

Incredible speeds! Incredible reliability! Incredible support! Incredible people. Mike is the best! A million times better than Frontier!

I looked hard and long to find a reliable and reasonably priced replacement for AT&T which was demanding me to replace my DSL with Uverse which I did not want. I came across Ridge through Yelp and I am absolutely thrilled with Mike's quality and professional service. If you are within his service area, I recommend that you immediately ask him to test your location for a good signal path. If you are in a good location, then switch to his service immediately. I am an RF/microwave engineer with over 40 years of experience so I know he has a good system. read more

Ridge Wireless has transformed the efficiency of my business. Fast Fast and reliable speeds on my internet. I too switched over to VOIP and saved even more money using the service. Mike is economical, smart and timely. He has stepped in to help on multiple projects and is always available to give me some great technical suggestions when I need to adjust or update my systems from my POS's to VPN's in my multiple city locations that all need to communicate 24/7. I cannot recommend him and his service highly enough. He deserves 6 Stars! read more

There aren't enough superlatives available to praise Mike and his company! We've been stuck with DSL for years, and thought getting anything better was hopeless due to being down in a canyon, but Mike visited us several times and managed to find a way to hit a tower, and now we have broadband! Plus he has a great personality and is fun to work with. read more

Mike is a great provider for anyone looking for internet service. I highly recommend him.

Mike, and Ridge Wireless, are simply awesome. We've had Mike provide internet service for quite some time now, and never had a problem. On very rare occasions when there is an issue, Mike is as fast as lightning. read more

A friend in Los Altos Hills recommended Mike because they get blazing fast speeds with him. They love it and they love Ridge Wireless. So DEFINITELY check him out if you are in Los Altos Hills. He has come out to my house a couple of times at no charge to see if he can do better than my service Skyline Broadband. He's the most honest guy around--because of my location he can't do a lot better and recommended I wait for Skyline's promised upgrade. In the meantime, he walked through my house to give me network advice to improve my system and is sending me a detailed plan (for free). read more

Ridge is great. I live near Saratoga Gap (highways 9 and 35) and have had Ridge service for a few years now. Recently, we have experienced many difficulties due to the record rains. This team has saved us from Frontier. I am an engineer who builds very related outdoor WLAN products. These guys are awesome. Super clean and elegant installation. It's hard to minimize the visual impact of a family pizza size dish on your home but they did it well. Very clean cabling as well. I felt our home was in the best possible hands for this installation. The installation team was expert in their product and their craft. The president Mike responded personally to our queries. Our bandwidth is not rate limited and is 100 times faster than with Frontier (they appeared to be intermittently rate limiting our netflix to 100K or so, non-functional). Our Netfilx is now awesome, Playstation is excellent, web pages load a snap. Support a small/local business, you'll be super pleased with the results and service. read more
