Don't go here if you expect your insurance to be billed correctly or in a timely manner. I had my wisdom teeth removed on Nov. 1st & had to pay up front around $3k. My insurance received the claim on Nov. 4th. It was processed on Nov. 19th. After reviewing my EOB, Rider double charged the service & the single service itself was $300 less than I paid out of pocket up front. This was also billed to my medical instead of my dental leading it to be denied because my medical doesn't cover this service. My medical & dental are under the same insurance company. I called Rider on Nov. 22nd to discuss the issue. I requested they fix the double charge issue & bill it correctly to my dental insurance. I also requested they send a claim for my panoramic x-rays which I also had to pay upfront because they stated it wouldn't be covered by my insurance. After further review of my coverage, that service would be covered in full. Why not send the x-ray claim to the insurer first, receive an approval/denial, & then bill me? That seems more ethical. After a week & a half, I see nothing with my insurance from Rider. I called back on Dec. 4th & they still hadn't correctly sent the claims, nor fixed the medical claim. Again, I requested they fix all the aforementioned issues. Another week goes by. Nothing is showing up on my insurance. I called Rider's office again on Dec. 12th. They stated they sent the claim on December 10th. It is now December 20th & the claims are yet to be received & the medical claim removed. These are my financials on the line & they don't seem to care about the urgency of it, nor feel the need to take responsibility for their mistakes. For someone that's been in this business for quite some time, you'd think their billing department would not have these many issues, & from the other reviews, I am not the only one. read more

I was simply amazed at the friendliness and professionalism of Dr. Riders office. I most certainly was not looking forward to having the roots from a broken tooth extracted. The moment I entered the office, I was greeted by very warm staff members and felt slightly less nervous. When I was called in to have my procedure done, my nerves became evident again. I was quite shaky. Shortly after, Dr. Rider entered and the procedure began. I was simply amazed how thorough they were! From beginning to end, they explained everything they were doing and what to expect. I felt absolutely no pain and felt unusually at ease. Dr. Rider finished much sooner than I expected! I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Rider for the procedure I needed done. It's comforting going forward to know that in the event I need an oral surgeon in the future that I already know an excellent one to call. I went to my dentist after starting to have sensitivity in my lower rear teeth, but I was unable to identify exactly which tooth. He did notice a chip on the edge of the wisdom tooth but didn't seem concerned about it. After x-rays and a course of anti-biotics, I returned to him with the same concern. He then recommended a root cannel on the tooth in front of the wisdom tooth thinking it was causing the concern since it had been recently crowned. I wanted a second opinion, so I found Dr Rider and called and was offered an appointment only 4 days later. Dr Riders office performs 3D imagining which was done at the start of my appointment. Immediately after Dr Rider saw the image, she was able to identify the root cause of my sensitivity. Even though there was no visible decay on the outside of my wisdom tooth the interior had a hole caused by decay causing my sensitivity. Dr Rider recommended removing the tooth and my dental anxiety kicked into high gear. Dr Rider then gave me a couple of options to help with the anxiety, so I choose gas along with the numbing shots. Dr Rider then performed the extraction quickly and painlessly. Not recommended. carelessness of receptionist and staff. I am the mother, doctor never talked to me. Felt like a lack of concern for my daughters needs. She in under weight, had panic attacks and low immunity. She is hot and shaking and they did no give personalized care. Very disappointing and traumatic. read more

I was extremely satisfied with the oral surgery services I received. The staff worked quickly and efficiently and took lots of time to answer my questions. The reason I have given them 3 stars is due to their incompentency regarding my insurance intake. They have signs posted in their office that cell phone use is prohibited which I respected and yet my name was put into their system incorrectly and my insurance was not ran through for Trinity Health or the pathologist and I had to make multiple phone calls to have it ran through. To be clear, it was Rider's error as they never forwarded the insurnace information that was given to them for all the services. A simple clerical error can happen, but they were very non-chalant about it and only eventually sent it through my insurance after I called and proactively made sure I wasn't being charged for late payment. The people on the phone didn't seemed concerned about the two bills I got in the wrong name that were high sue to not having been ran through my insurance. They were friendly on the phone, but acted like everything I just described was business as usual. In comparison, the billing for their services was ran through and billed properly in a timerly manner, so they could receive their money and that bill arrrived with the correct name after I corrected it. I think people in present society often accept whatever service they receive, but medial care is expensive and should be handled with the utmost care and concern. Billing and insurance are part of their job in a medical office! They need to train their office staff better. read more

I broke a tooth and was in severe pain- my dentist referred me to another oral surgeon in town and when I called for an appointment they told me that it would be 14 days until they could get me in. I called Dr Riders office and had an appointment that afternoon for the extraction. The office staff were great and my entire process with Dr Rider was wonderful! Quick and pain free!! I was in and out within an hour and sent home with clear directions for after care. She was the best and I would refer anyone there. NEVER repeat NEVER use this office. Worst staff possible. She literally stole money from me. I paid $765 as an initial copay but Lora entered my insurance policy incorrectly. Since she had a photocopy of my insurance card she could have double checked my information at any time but did not. As a result, I was sent to collections. I had to file everything myself and once I did my insurance took care of everything. Instead of receiving my full refund of copayment, they took out their fees charged to them by the collections agency, $700 worth. I have seen Dr. Rider twice. A year ago I had to have two severely impacted wisdom teeth removed, and two others to gain access, in preparation for heart surgery. They were able to do this the day after we contacted them. And yesterday I had a broken tooth removed, again one day after calling. Their service was again impressive. Dr. Rider and her stall are quite skilled and professional, but just as important they are kind, caring, and compassionate. At a difficult time they made my wife and I feel very cared for, and cared about. My wife and I have the greatest confidence and trust in their care. My first impressions of the office were of its cleanliness, with sanitization in progress at all times, after each touch of an object or surface. During my initial visit with Dr. Rider she was superbly professional. She answered each of my pre-wisdom teeth extraction questions with care and precision. I appreciated her patience while I absorbed what she was teaching me and formulated my concerns. The staff members were accommodating, friendly and thoughtful, offering suggestions and anecdotes to encourage me and assuage my worries regarding my upcoming surgery. I was scheduled for surgery very soon after my consultation, which I really appreciated. On the morning of my extractions I was made comfortable prior to surgery with a blanket and adjustments to my seating and some chit chat, and then I groggily awoke post op. I've been impressed by the tidiness of my stitches and, after the first few days of feeling crummy, the smoothness of my healing.
