Palte Endodontics - Dr. Eric Palte

Returned from Florida due the need for an emergency root canal procedure. my dentist on vacation so…read morewe called many Jackson dentists to try to get an appointment. We called Dr Palte's office after 5:00 pm and the next morning, Michelle called from the office and got us an appointment for the next morning. Dr Palte and his staff were very kind, understanding, and compassionate. preliminary exam performed and Dr Palte sat down and explained the procedure in complete detail. unfortunately due to the condition of the tooth Dr explained options of repair and removal. I decided based on Dr Palte's opinion that the best alternative was to remove the tooth and plan for either a bridge or an implant. The tooth was removed and prep started for the implant. My experience with this office was outstanding. Dr Palte took the time to totally explain the procedures and my options and I am very confident in my treatment plan. His staff is outstanding and made the procedure as comfortable as possible. His staff also gave me documentation of the procedure and completed all the insurance forms for the visit. I plan on having an implant placed and I will definitely return to Dr Palte's office for the procedure. Great job Dr Palte and your staff.

They were able to get me an appointment within a couple of days of the referral. My first interaction was with Michelle who I immediately loved. She was very kind, welcoming and explained in detail what to expect from my visit. I was evaluated by Dr. Kimball, and when I say she is a real gem, that is an understatement. Her passion for dentistry exudes from her like a ray of sunshine. She was very sympathetic to my situation, and immediately after the evaluation began the first phase of the root canal. Her assistant Crystal, and her work together like pancakes and syrup. There interaction with each other is both professional and comedic, and definitely takes the edge off from undergoing a dental procedure. I could go on and on with my review, but in a nutshell, I would highly recommend this Endodontist if you want to experience an anxiety free procedure. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Having problems with vertigo makes having dental work difficult. Needless to say, I was pretty…read morehappy, several years ago, when Dr. Sheets took me on as a new patient. One of his staff has vertigo, and she would, graciously, assist Dr. Sheets with my care during my visits, which was comforting. Life changing events over the past couple of years, resulted in my not seeing Dr. Sheets for care during that time. A couple of months ago, I called to make an appointment with Dr. Sheets, and I was told that Dr. Sheets will no longer see me, because I would be considered a new patient again. He is one of the only dentists I know of who cares for patients who have vertigo, and this is very disappointing. Hopefully, he will reconsider.

We spent 8 hours at the dentists office. I put up with it because they were supposedly covered 100% by insurance. After the appointment I was told I could go but later received a bill for over $200. When I called about it the joke of an "office manager" continued to tell me how the cleaning was so much more intense then any other cleaning. Really? Then why was it exactly like every other cleaning I have ever received? She also said that we had talked about the price and she was sure they had told me it would be more. I'm so glad they wanted me to come back in two weeks and I said no. I will NEVER go back to such a terrible place. Don't lie to your customers and try to get more money then you deserve. I would tell anyone to go somewhere before picking this place. They deserve zero stars.

When I picked her up, she had gauze covering her lower lip and chin. No one said a word about any injury. Once we got home and changed the gauze, we realized her lip had been hurt (had a large, ~5mm hole with a scrape going about 1/2-inch beyond her lip). It only got worse over the next few days, and it's been embarrassing for her--especially since she works at a busy checkout where people see her face all day. I called the office and the assistant apologized for the doctor, but at her follow-up, the doctor didn't even bring it up. When she asked him about it, he just said "Oh, it'll heal" and moved on. I couldn't believe how dismissive that was. A dental professional friend told me this kind of lip injury is very uncommon. Even my daughter's hygienist was shocked that it happened--and shocked it wasn't acknowledged at all. Mistakes happen, I get that. But when a patient leaves with a visible injury, I expect honesty, compassion, and a sincere apology. None of that happened here, and that's why I can't recommend this practice.

He could have made a lot more money by going ahead with it, and I'd have believed him. But instead he was honest, and also very kind, thorough, and caring. I highly recommend him. The other people in the office were very nice too.
