Chip did a great job with both of our bikes and was very thorough in his assessment of what needed to be done. We were really grateful for his flexibility in scheduling and that he was able to do the job right outside of our home without the need for loading and transporting the bikes. Very knowledgeable, friendly and responsive to questions. Would not hesitate to use again in the future! read more

I asked for a tuneup for 2 bikes. To his credit, he could have patched both bikes and taken the money but for 1 bike that was the affordable type, he described the pros and cons, made hiis case and it wasn't worth it indeed. So 1 bike out. The issue is with the other bike. He got it up into what seemed like a prime condition, I rode it once when he fixed it, it looked good. So I hung it up at the garage and didn't ride it for a couple of weeks. Then I noticed that the front tire was flat again. I tried to put air in the tire on my own, tried 2 different pumps but it seems the valve was losing air while the pump was pumping. He said it seems my pump is messing up the valve. I should get a new pump and then replace the tube. I mentioned I never rode the bike after the tuneup and this is the first time I tried to put air in the new tires. How can it be that I need to replace the tube that he had just replaced during the tune up. I even asked for a quote, he simply ignored me. It's definitely good value for money but either there's a character issue or he's terribly busy. Either case, my bike issues re-emerged 2-3 weeks after the tuneup with literally 0 rides, hence the score. read more

I learned about Ride on Bikes from our community facebook page, all of whom had given Chip rave reviews! I reached out to Chip (the owner) and scheduled an appointment (he works on Sunday too) and I quote "if there is work that needs to be done I'm there" He reached out the night before to confirm our appointment and then the next morning to let me know he was 5 minutes out, arriving on time. Talk about great customer service. The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well. Thanks Chip! You're the best. read more

Ride On Bikes - A mobile bike company that comes to your home? Yup! Chip you're the best! Thanks for the "tune-up". - Hair Salons Near Me

Chip was great from start to finish. I love working with people who are proud of their work and also communicate really well. He explained everything to me up front via text, confirmed date and time, reconfirmed it the day before, and texted the morning of when he was on his way. We just moved here from CA and Chip helped tune up 4 bikes and was extremely thorough. Anything that was in good shape, he charged just the labor for. And anything that required fixing, he was transparent about the pricing before moving forward. Very easy to work with and efficient. I will definitely use him again for the other two bikes we have, as well as yearly maintenance. read more

Ride-On is a great alternative to going to a bike shop: the bike shop literally comes to you! Chip serviced all 4 of our family's Specialized bikes, each needing varying degree of tune up and repair. Can't beat the convenience, real-time questions and answers, and proactive, but not pushy approach to going beyond basic service. No surprise charges and very good pricing. read more

Chip/Ride On Bikes is amazing!! 10 Stars Plus Let me start by saying I'm used to riding motorcycles not bicycles (haven't ridden a bicycle in 30 years). We recently ordered 2 electric bikes which we had shipped to our office in Richardson. After reading the reviews on our bikes I knew we could not put them together ourselves, so I read Yelp reviews and called a couple of places. Chip was the best from first contact! He quoted me a price, recommended that he come pick up the bikes at the office, assemble them and deliver them to our home. All of which he did within a day. When he delivered the bikes, He took the time to test ride them, make adjustments then let us ride them and make some adjustments for us. He walked us through the bikes and explained how these worked and gave us riding recommendations to ramp up our our biking experience. We also had questions about bike racks. Since the bikes are heavier than normal Chip took the time to research racks for us and make his recommendation based on both our needs and the bikes. That is STELLAR customer service. His mobile set up gives him flexibility that a store cannot offer; Chip's love of bikes gives him a personal investment in each bike and customer. Chip has made a customer for life! read more

I called Chip about an vintage BMX bike that needed to be restored to road worthy condition. It was our Daughter's bike back in the 90s and we wanted to restore and give it to our Grandson,(Her Son) for his birthday in February. Chip came out the next day and within an hour, had it back to riding condition. Our Grandson will be thrilled! Thanks for the great work Chip! See the before and after pics. read more

I've used Ride On a couple of times to tune my bike up and some small repairs. While he has a fairly long lead time, the work is high quality at a fair priceand he stands behind it -- in my case he provided easy instructions for an adjustment to fix a problem with the gear shift cable settling in and stretching. Good work, good price, and convenient. All three don't typically all happen in a single business. read more

Once again Chip has killed it!! He gave us a great experience fixing, replacing, tuning, and overall updating an older bike. He even increased the value of it! He was very honest in what he did, pricing ahead of them and what we could do in the future to the bike to make it even better! Thanks again Chip! We'll definitely be calling you for future bike services, no doubt about it. read more

Great service! I am on my bike again and it was a fraction of the cost it would have been for a new bike! Professional, detailed and thorough service. Price was communicated to me prior to work being done and future service was given as an option- no pressure! Thank you! read more

Chip from Ride On Bikes just completed another fantastic bike service for me. My bike had blown over, in the recent strong winds, and the right side hand brake, derailleur and rear wheel needed adjustment. As usual, he arrived promptly in his mobile service truck and had everything done in about a half hour. I strongly recommend Chip and his mobile service to all bike riders in The Colony. He does everything, from complete bike assembly to all types of bike repairs, right at your front door. He's awesome! read more

Used Chip for a tune up on a trek 7.5 and some fine tuning on a specialized roubaix that wasn't shifting cleanly. He was responsive to texts, provided frequent updates as his schedule firmed up, was punctual, efficient, transparent with pricing and very knowledgeable. The final cost was very competitive esp since he came to me. I was able test ride after every adjustment so we were really able to dial in the fine tuning. Great experience and a great value given the time saved. read more

This review is overdue but I am writing it now. I've had my bike serviced twice by Chip. I think that is how you know you're getting quality service- repeat customers. Chip is awesome! Chip is very knowledgeable and very reliable and his mobile service is extremely convenient! He is my go to when I need help with a bike. Here's why he is better than everyone else. Last week I had him tune up my sons bike and replace the tube in the back tire. A couple days later my son ran something over and the tire blew out. I called Chip and he was at my house the next day to take a look at it. He realigned the rear wheel and replaced the tube and tire for no charge. He said, "that's customer service". Do yourself a favor and call Chip!! read more

Service was superb! He was on time, took very little time to fix my bike and gave me some riding pointers. Thank You!!

Great experience. Contacted Chip last week, figured out a time that would work for both of us. He showed up when he said he would and got my bike it working order. I needed new brakes and for my shifters to be tuned. Chip laughed at the brakes that the "kid" at Academy said I needed. Took my test drive, everything works to my satisfaction. I will be using him again for my others bikes. read more

He's busy and there's a good reason for that! He's good at what he's does, he's honest and friendly. My Nike hadn't moved in years, my brother rode it for a while. I called thinking it would need a tune up. It needed much more than that. He was honest about the work and how much it would cost. I got a new bike and he will be out soon to make sure it's put together properly! read more

I recently purchased a bike online which came unassembled and I did not trust my abilities to safely assemble a bike. I found Ride on Bikes via an online search. The business had great reviews and best part - they come to you to assemble your bike! I didn't have to worry about fitting it in my car or finding time to go pick it up. Chip was quick to respond to my inquiry, very communicative during scheduling and consultation and clearly very knowledgable in his trade. His prices are extremely reasonable and he was able to schedule me within a couple days! My bike rides wonderfully and I was especially happy to have found a small, local business for this need. I found Chip and his mobile bike service company via a local facebook group, and couldn't be happier I did. My bike was in dire need of some bottom bracket servicing (where your pedal arms attach to the bike), trying to spin my pedals backwards was like they were stuck in mud. As you can see from the pic, my bearings were shot! While Chip was at it, he installed new tires (Conti GP5000s) and some bar tape along with a new chain. Took it for a test ride and the difference was night and day! Chip's mobile service is really convenient during these "stay at home" times, and his prices are very reasonable. Lastly, and most importantly, Chip takes pride in his work and treated my bike like his own. 5 Stars! read more

I wish Yelp would change the scoring so I could give this guy 0 (zero) stars. I had a flat tire on less than week old brand new bike. He charges $40 minimum. I told him the bike was brand new & didnt need a $40 tune up but could he just fix the tire. He had the audacity to say he could do a basic tuneup ($40) along with the tube ($10 labor, 7-8 for the tube). Almost $60! He was so manipulative & obnoxious and said: "other than agree on a day and time... Otherwise... pack your bike up in the car, head over to RBM or Sun n Ski, wait in line for however long their repair cue is... get the repair done, then load it back in the car... see my value? I'm actually booked out about 2 weeks - I'm "Mr Popularity" since the Covid thing started." Well I took his advice went to Richardson Bike Shop the same afternoon- waited no more than 10 minutes in line, tire was fixed in less than an hour and paid less than $20! read more
