I had a great car-buying experience at first, but unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. My first service visit started with the dealership ordering the wrong part. Mistakes happen, but it was the beginning of a frustrating pattern. When I returned to have the correct part installed, a technician accidentally ripped the driver's seat. It then took over three months for the dealership to provide a loaner vehicle so they could repair the damage they caused by patching over the rip. The repair lasted only a few weeks before the seat ripped again. Now, more than a year later, they're still refusing to replace the damaged seat cover. The Service Manager's only solution is to patch it again--which would only conceal the rip, not actually fix it--even though the first repair already failed. I don't have time to keep bringing my car back every few weeks because of a problem their technician created. To make matters worse, replacing the seat cover properly will cost over $800--a bill I'm now expected to pay myself because the dealership refuses to take responsibility for damage caused by its own technician. That's simply unacceptable. This was a brand-new car that their employee damaged. What has been most disappointing is the complete lack of accountability. Had they simply taken responsibility and replaced the seat cover, they would have earned a customer for life. Instead, they chose to save a few hundred dollars and lost a customer who has been loyal to the Volkswagen brand for nearly 20 years. I'll never return to this dealership, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Based on how this situation was handled, I'd also think twice before doing business with any Mossy-owned dealership. Customer service isn't just about selling cars--it's about standing behind your work when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here.

The sales guy was saying all sorts of reasons why he's getting us a better deal, but closer inspection proved that there were some bogus upsells tacked into the price (their equivalent to a LoJack security system) that was snuck on their "out the door price". This was NOT on the car's sticker price.. That was used as a negotiation ploy to make you think you're saving $1200 when they take it off the total price.. BTW, Finance will try and sell you again on that alarm. . - Maybe it's a Toyota thing, but when I bought a Chevy seven years ago they went the extra mile to show me the car features and get some basics setup before letting me drive away. He said the Q3 I wanted is assigned to a dealership in San Jose and he would get it for me since they were both Penske owned. I was ready to put a deposit on it. Three days of texting Cody went by asking him why the hold up? He said they were "working on it." On Monday, Jeff calls me so I gave him an earful. I told him I've wasted three days waiting to hear from Cody if he will be able to get me the exact Q3 I wanted which he would need to do a dealer trade. It seemed like Cody had been stringing me along. He could've just said that the San Jose dealership won't give it up and I would've been fine with that. Instead, Jeff informs me that there will NOT be any lease incentives on the new Q3s and the lease will be $850 a month. Then (here it comes:) he tells me they have a white Q5 with beige interior in their dealership right now and that would fit my needs better and have a lower monthly payment. Ok first off, when did I EVER say I wanted a WHITE vehicle let alone a Q5? Furthermore, how do they know that there won't be a lease incentive when the Q3s have not been released yet? Other dealerships have said that the lease incentives won't come out until the Q3s are released. This is where it gets worse: In the middle of our conversation, here comes his GENERAL MANAGER, Druvh Barot and interrupts our conversation. He has NO IDEA why I'm even buying a vehicle nor anything about me the customer! He argued that a Q5 is a better option otherwise I'll be paying $850 a month lease for the Q3. Make it make sense. At this point my patience ran thin and I told him he was getting a bad review for trying to bait and switch a potential customer. The phone kept ringing, then a recording came on to leave a message. I never got to speak to a live person, so I left a detailed message. No call back. Two days later I called again. Same situation-except I kept getting hung up on while waiting on hold then getting hung up on when someone picked up. I called several times until a service person finally answered. I was asked if I would go on a "brief" hold, I said okay. After being on hold for 5 minutes and 37 seconds I gave up. I called Aaron Ford the next day. Again, a long wait on hold. When the service person got on the line, I was again asked to go on a brief hold, I said no because I was left hanging yesterday. He said, "Let's not worry about yesterday" "what's going on today"? I told him about the recall and he looked up my vehicle. He told me the earliest appointment was in seven days and they-Aaron Ford would need my vehicle for 1-3 days. When I asked questions about the recall he got impatient with me. I asked, if Ford needs three days to repair my vehicle, do I get a rental? He said Ford will not give you a rental. I asked if there was anything else Aaron Ford could do, he said he would have Aaron mobile service contact me. After three days, they never did. I called Perry Ford in National City. I got through to the service department with no difficulties or long waiting times. The service person patiently answered ALL my questions about the recall. In 2 days Perry Fords Mobile service came to my house and performed the recall repair. Even though Aaron Ford is close by, I will continue to use Perry Ford for my service and vehicle purchases. Even if it means driving to National City. Very disappointed in Aaron Ford of Poway they used to be good.
