As soon as you step into the shop, you're greeted by the many inviting aromas, the sight of hanging prosciutto, and a beautiful display of over 50 freshly prepared dishes, which are made daily. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, generously portioned, and perfect for a very hungry individual like myself or for sharing. If you are ordering ready to eat items, plan ahead as this is a strictly take out establishment. You'll also find a wide variety of gourmet, ready to enjoy meals, imported cheeses and meats, and Italian pantry staples and gift items. Their selection of homemade ravioli, fresh pastas, and sauces from classic marinara to rich bolognese is unmatched. The service is top notch, and the ambiance has a warm, family feel that makes every visit feel like coming home. Durso's combines quality, tradition, and hospitality a true Italian culinary gem in Queens.

Their ravioli are outstanding, once you've had them, you'll find yourself walking right past the refrigerator case at your local supermarket. They also prepare a wide range of Italian specialties, including eggplant parmigiana and rollatini, along with lasagna and a variety of chicken and veal dishes. While I tend to gravitate toward certain favorites, the overall quality and care are evident throughout. Go early, especially around the holidays, as it can get quite busy. And don't miss the ravioli, along with their other fresh pastas like cavatelli and rigatoni. They also offer a great selection of specialty pastas in frozen form, which are well worth having on hand. Durso's is not inexpensive, but as I always say, you get what you pay for, and everything here reflects top-quality ingredients and craftsmanship.

If you're in a pinch and would like to quickly eat some type of pasta that isn't fancy for takeout, this is the place to go to as there's no one really serving you. I walked inside, and there was no one to greet me. I think there's only one person working here who does everything. Once the person came out with someone's order, he explained everything to me, on how to figure out what to order and etc. I didn't really understand what he was saying, but I tried my best and repeated things back to him if there was a question. I followed the photos and what was written on the black menu by the wall. I ordered the small mama's bolognese. It is Reginette with marinara sauce with meat inside and has roasted garlic and parmesan. The employee asked me what size and if I wanted everything, or if I should alter anything. All in all, I'm not sure I'll be going back as the food didn't stand out to me.

Which disappointed me. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, penne à la vodka with chicken, fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and mozzarella sticks. The best out of all of them was the mozzarella stick sticks. The service was OK. The place is small and there's only like four benches to sit. I did notice there was a sign that said there is more seating at Elio's. I do not really recommend this restaurant for its pasta if you're looking for something super savory. But if you're looking for something fast and filling then maybe you could give it a shot.

They started us with some bread and marinara sauce and the sauce definitely opened up our appetite and had us anticipating of what's to come. Then the to-die-for appetizer came, the mushroom ricotta cheese thinging it's sooooooooooooooooooo freaking delicious!!!!! I can't explain it, you'll have to put that cheese on the baked bread, then eat it together with the mushrooms to experience what we experienced.... Soooo good!! And we also had a bowl of meatballs lol it was good~ but nothing to write home about. Now for the Pastas, I got their signature Fuzi folding noodles with veal sauce and my daughter got the rigatoni à la vodka. They were both great!!! Their pasta has great texture with a fantastic clean taste and the sauce were subtle, fragrant and delicious. Not heavy and sweet like some of those normal Italian restaurants, this is definitely an A tier restaurant hidden in a local community. I would come here at least once a week from now on. Deliciousness: Friendliness: Price: (the lower the cheaper) Cleanliness :

The food sat on the counter for awhile - we had to ask for them to serve it. The burgers were okay. The lamb skewers were rare (not that they asked how we wanted it prepared) and stringy with tendons. A tiny portion of the pasta was served in an appetizer bowl - we politely asked if this was an appetizer or entree. Were told it's entree. Even though half the restaurant was empty, we were rush to pay the bill. Sadly, we will not be returning.

This review is for a delivery order placed through Uber Eats so your experience may differ, but I felt like the reality didn't live up to the hyped expectations. My chicken parm was $23.75.. maybe it's cheaper in person, but for that price I want the best chicken parm of my life. The bread was the best part in my opinion. The breading was coming off the chicken and the meat itself wasn't the most tender. It was fine, but not worth the price I paid through Uber Eats. I would consider going back maybe for dinner one day, the pasta looked pretty good. Don't think I'll be back for the sandwiches!

Great Italian sodas, teas and desserts are in the fridges. Absolutely delicious and their ice cream tastes homemade as well. Little chocolate bits inside topped it off nicely. The gentleman was very nice at the counter. So many delicious sandwiches to choose from on their menu, at one point I couldn't decide. I went with Il Fig. Prosciutto di Parma, double creamed brie with their homemade fig jam on a fresh baked bread. It's listed under Panini, but it was not a Panini. Decent price for the size. Entering the store, which is a long and a narrow yet fairly sun-lit location, the two employees seem flabbergasted. We placed an order online and I'm not sure if it's because it's the beginning of lunch time but they seemed disorganized. Then we finally got our sandwich and I said we'll eat right at the few spots by the window. Incredibly convenient. Asked if they could cut it in half since we wanted to try it fresh on the spot. One guy was friendly, the other was lukewarm. I had to explain, it's our first time ordering so will understand to clarify instructions in the online order to have it cut in half in the future. Besides the customer interaction, the sandwich is pretty good. Great crunch in the bread, ingredients are just enough (not like Stacked but good enough to fill you up). It's certainly a great option for sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Probably better to order online than in person as they can be busy just making sandwiches and not be able to tend to in-person interactions as quickly.
