Ordered through Uber Eats for the first time this weekend. Great pizza but I wish there was a better way to order additional toppings - you have to request them through a free form text box and so I don't know what the additional charge would be. I was recommended to visit by someone who has been coming here since he was a kid (and he's in his 50s now). His recommendation held up--this is a solid pizza joint. The crust on the Sicilian was perfect. A thin crispy crust with a light and fluffy interior. A nice amount of sauce (very deep in tomato flavor-I prefer something slightly sweeter) and light, light cheese. I'd eat this again, definitely. My partner got the regular and pepperoni slices and said they were good; though not as good as the Sicilian. I also ordered the spinach and ricotta, but it was the most disappointing thing on the plate. It was just completely bland and the crust not only looked burnt, but tasted it too. So I tossed most of it and ordered a Caesar salad slice. Much better; lots of dressing, cheese, and plenty of chicken. Additionally, this place is kept really clean and nice. The employees were all friendly and helpful! I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if I were in the area, I'd definitely pick up a Sicilian or two. :) read more

This was a very underwhelming experience. Ordered 5 pies for a small group at work & everyone was disappointed. Two Pepperoni, One Cheese, One Veggie, and one grandma. Pepperoni - The cheese slid off the slice? That's always a bad sign. The dough was over cooked yet the pepperoni wasn't. Super greasy & not tasty. Cheese Pie - Looks good but same deal. The cheese slid right off. Super greasy & sauce was meh. Veggie Pie - Veggies were stale for sure. Overcooked broccolini & just a soggy mess. It all slid off when trying to get a slice. Grandma Pie - This was just a hard piece of dough with no care at all. I'm not sure how everyone here is getting great slices and we all had such a let down of an experience. read more

In New York, you're either a square slice or round slice kinda person. Me...I go for the square slice almost every time. And not the corner, give me the middle. No crust for this girl! Anyway, growing up in Ozone Park, this was our go to spot for pizza every Friday night. And every time we would get the old school upside down square pie. It is now :cough cough: 30 something years later and this square pie hasn't changed one bit. I was recently just in the area and realized I haven't had one of these square slices in a while and was overjoyed when I popped in for one of my favorite foods. In typical pizzeria fashion, everything moves quickly. "What can I get you?" is shouted over the counter. This is the one time I'm not like "Give me a second, I'm still deciding". I quickly give my request a middle traditional square slice and wait patiently. You really can't go wrong here! I do have to say, I've also had their other menu items, which are also delicious, but nothing beats my old school square slice. On a final note, I will argue that is is probably one of the best upside down slices in New York. Right up there with Spumoni Gardens. It came to my attention, to my surprise, that I haven't reviewed one of my favorite spots! So here goes - If you're ever in the area, you'd be crazy not to grab a slice from here! read more

I'm attaching the order that was put in with the food items we received so that people understand. I ordered two old fashioned Sicilian slices and two special slices (eggplant) that are specified as being Sicilian slices on the menu. I didn't receive the correct slices at all. Pictured below are: A normal cheese slice with eggplant thrown on it. That's not a special slice (eggplant). How is that slice pictured below worth 4$ a slice??? Ozone, please do better. This is not at all what I ordered. I used to order from here all the time (mostly pick up) but after this fiasco with the eggplant special slices (this isn't my first rodeo) I'm absolutely done with ordering from Ozone. Yeah, so, over 10 years ago I used to work in the neighborhood, and when we'd finally get out of work, we'd be so hungry (one of those horrible work through lunch type bosses. ugh). This place was a welcoming beacon shining out at night under the elevated train, and it was always open late. In and out, grab a slice, eat it on the train, done. One thing that always irritates me when people complain about smelling food on the train, is that not everybody has time to make their dinner. Some people have to walk and eat, or eat on the train because of time and hunger. Don't like it, take a cab. Facts. This place was an easy, filling, good tasting stop on the way home. And guess what? It's still a great slice. I took a red slice home and it holds up. It's similar to L&B, tomatoey sauce, not sweet or chunky with tomatoes. Minimal cheese. They have plain, regular Sicilian, etc....friendly guys, sit down booths, the standard. Pass Papa John's. This is the place. read more

The Sicilian is as amazing as everyone says it is, but one thing that stood out to me was the service. I placed an order over the phone and when I went to pick up my order learned that the gentleman who'd taken my order had misheard me and given me the wrong pie topping (it was the upside down when I'd asked for cheese on top). He'd immediately apologized and said he'd put a brand new one in the oven for me without question. That aside, his general mannerisms were really warm and not hurried in the least as he answered my questions about if I could do a half-half pie when I had called earlier. As a new customer, it was very much appreciated and since then I've been coming back when I can. I popped in today after god knows how long since my last visit and through COVID the quality and price has remained the same. Each pie is about 10 slices and between 19-23 bucks which is reasonable considering how dense and filling and loaded with toppings their pies are. You can easily feed 4-5 people. My go-to is half white, half cheese on top. There's something so unique about their sauce that balances out the heaviness of the mozzarella. As for their white pie, they do not skimp on the ricotta, it's always sliding off and dripping everywhere and I personally love that. If you wait for it to cool down, it'll firm up if that sorta thing bothers you. It took me literally 30 seconds to walk in, pick up and pay for my order, and walk out. The pizza stayed piping hot all the way home too. Since I was in the store for such a short duration I only got to briefly scan the space but from what I could see it was clean, neat, and a decent space to sit comfortably and eat. read more

This place is hands down the best pizzeria in Ozone Park. Growing up around the area nice to see this place still supplying that good good pizza and heros. I ordered two old fashioned's . Delicious and the veal parmigiana hero was one of the best. I've eaten here several times over a dozen and past yr several never ever have gotten a bad sicilian. I dont order slices here for that i go to New Park. Also great option they deliver. Im about 3+miles away and they deliver 3 sicilans-old fashioned and two veal parmigiana heros for $29. They get a plus for getting me my food 30mins piping hot and thus the 5th star. Im picky but they deserve minimum 4.5 stars. After an unusal early one hour departure from work in order to break-even my hours for the week I was able to grab a very late dinner at Ozone Pizzeria before they call it a night. Upon arriving at 8:55pm of ordering a meatball parmesan hero waiting to prepare and heat, I left at 9:25pm. It takes an eternal half hour to make a meatball parmesan hero for take-out? As I stood at the entry-way watching the hustle and bustle of Ozone Pizzeria's staff I noticed how quickly they serve two on-duty police officers while I had to wait an eternal half-hour. The meatball parmesan hero is approx. 14 inches in length yet giving me warm from a long haul work day full of agita and frustration. It was very flavorable and filling as the cheese melted with the tomato sauce was just right at $5.95. There is seating inside and take-out delivery for New Yorkers on-the-go. read more

I been in the neighbor hood for 13 yrs + and the consistency of there pizza and Sicilian pies and most menu items still have that yummy in my tummy taste. If your in the mood for a Sicilian "grandma style" is the best bet, it's one of my favorite Sicilians on the menu here at ozone pizza!!! And if you like to add on the dough order a side or 2 of garlic twist & marinara sauce its o.m.g. Some of the best stuff I ever had eaten and I say a hand full of good pizza shops I know, ozone is the only place that I know of that does these twisty garlicky dough in a order comes 6 pieces. They also have a delicious variety of items on the menu such as beef patties, chicken wings, chicken & meatball Parmesan hero's , rice balls, mozzarella sticks to name a few. I would of gave ozone pizza 5 stars but I gave it 4 stars because sometimes when I order for delivery, delivery can take forever ahhhh but sometimes I'll phone order and pick up or just go in person and order, it's faster in my opinion. Food: My neighborhood pizzeria, I remember coming here after school for a slice. Now it got a face lift, with a whole new exterior! The food is what you expect it to be, good ol' no frills neighborhood pizzeria. Now I usually grab some food on my home from the A train. I've tried everything there almost. I usually get a regular (cheese slice) and a deli roll which is a high blood pressure inducing roll consisting of ham, salami, pepperoni and cheese. It is a roll of salty goodness (you've been warned). I'm also a fan of the Hippie roll which is sausage, peppers and cheese. Finally I have to recommend the rice balls which was also delicious. I also order their pastas, which is a very good deal for the portion size and you get a salad and bread with it (you can't go wrong with a carb coma) Again it is located at a very convenient location right off the A train on Rockaway Blvd. Brew: No beers, only soft drinks. read more

I was in here after being at the TD Bank nearby. It was a bit before 1 this afternoon. It seems a small intimate place for locals. I looked at the pizza available. I just got one cheese slice. It didn't take long. When it was ready I asked how much. It was $2.75 for the slice. It was a decent sized slice. The slice was well seasoned. Very solid pizza option for the neighborhood, I must say. I have only been back about three times since the huge renovation here in Queens. I did come somewhat regularly before. The plain cheese slice is a good favorite but The Sicilian i was not thrilled over. There is a Sicilian with extra cheese that is a little more expensive but alot more amazing. My advice is to go for that. Salad pizza was interesting, for the prices had really no complaints. Overall, the chicken roll is a great non-pizza item to get here. This was a great find in the middle of a busy intersection. I was searching near by for a quick meal but decided to stay when I saw the atmosphere of the pizzeria. It is a lovely restaurant with plenty of food options. There where so many different types of pizza slices ranging from Caesars salad to barbecue chicken and many different types of rolls. Man this pace looks ghetto. Located right under the train, at a glance you wouldn't expect to find that Ozone Pizzeria has been open since 1964. Place doesn't look old, just looks dirty. However the ratings on here had to be high for a reason so I went to check it out. The counter staff was very nice and made my slice well done as requested. There were also a few people waiting at all times, which meant the slice turnover was good. Walking out with the pizza, it was heavy on the cheese but what little sauce I tasted was pretty good. The crust had more character than it looked like it would. It was a little on the pale side but with good rise. The cheese also had caramelized along the edges which was an added treat. This was an enjoyable slice of pizza that's better than what I have available in my neighborhood. Not worth traveling for, but definitely worth a try if you're nearby! read more

I'd been going to ozone since 1998, and these new renovations are amazing. It looks like an upscale eatery, which is great! Ample seating, and the food quality has not changed one bit! I recommend the garlic sticks topped with mozzarella. Their Sicilian slices are massive, so I'd really only need one to fill me up. The marinara sauce was great, and I'm thinking that it was something more than just some canned concoction. The order of bread sticks really filled us up after sharing one slice of the pizza. The outside of the sticks were crunchy, inside nice and soft -- they were perfectly baked. The pizza was good. The sauce was not too sweet, but the interesting blend of cheeses on the Sicilian slice made it memorable. I would definitely go for another slice.
