Rick, the owner, arrived right on time at 8 a.m. to walk through approximately ten different projects I needed completed. These included hardwiring six smoke detectors, removing an old whole-house vacuum system and capping the PVC pipe, replacing caulking around my kitchen sink, shower, and bathtub, cleaning and maintaining our whole-house fan, replacing a faulty dimmer switch, and repairing and painting rotted wood on an outdoor shed and a bathroom baseboard. Rick took incredibly detailed notes and sent me a thorough estimate that same afternoon. The pricing was very fair, and after I approved the estimate, he called to let me know they could begin the following Monday. Jason arrived promptly at 8 a.m. Monday morning. Although I hadn't met him before, he immediately put me at ease by walking through every item on the list to confirm exactly what needed to be done. He was organized, professional, and got right to work, including picking up supplies and matching paint colors. I felt completely comfortable leaving for work while he worked on the house. When I returned that afternoon, I honestly couldn't even tell anyone had been there! Not a speck of dust, no mess, and no evidence of the amount of work that had been completed. Everything was left spotless. On Tuesday, Logan arrived to finish the last couple of painting details. Before wrapping up, he took the time to walk through the completed projects with me to make sure I was happy with everything. When I returned home, every item was finished, everything was clean, and the house was securely locked. What impressed me most was the exceptional communication and attention to detail between Rick and his employees. There was absolutely no disconnect between what I discussed with the owner and what his team actually completed. Every detail had been documented and communicated. At one point, I even thought a small item might have been overlooked, but Jason checked his notes, and sure enough, it was already on the list! It's refreshing to find a company where the owner and employees are equally professional, punctual, organized, and genuinely committed to doing a great job. RB Handyman Service exceeded my expectations. From the fair pricing and excellent communication to the quality of work and immaculate cleanup, the entire experience was outstanding. Handyman Gutierrez came within a few days, took out the existing window, replace a whole bunch of wood and trims. He even cleaned up after himself which was a pleasant surprise. He finished the job within 5 hours. Great work and my painter was happy with the work and paint job was completed the next day. He even helped me secured the kitchen baseboard which came loose. Overall, I am very happy with Handyman Gutierrez. I will definitely call him again for more projects around the house.

We paid cash, up front for materials for the…read morereconstruction of our deck, but then Elevated Decks Inc took out a line of credit with the lumberyard for the materials (without our knowledge) and has never paid $28,014 they owe! The lumberyard now has a mechanics lien on our property and are threatening foreclosure on our house! There are two other claimants on the contractors bond for similar amounts- so a total of more than $75,000! Be aware of mechanics lien laws when dealing with contractors in general! Do NOT pay up front and make sure you get releases from suppliers for materials during the project! Unfortunately, we have learned the hard way that nice people are not always able to be trusted! They are still using pictures of our deck on this site but we do not authorize the use of those pictures for further marketing. (PLEASE REMOVE THEM IMMEDIATELY!) They have recently changed their company name, address and phone numbers since this happened so be careful when dealing with José or Jessica Cisneros under any company name. This is the second time I am posting since my previous negative review was removed, but I took it up with Yelp and was given permission to repost. Most weeks were total no shows. 2) Jessica is the actual contractor, but never once viewed the job. 3) No workman's comp for employees. 4) PRETTY BUT, poor and incomplete work. Quoted costs to REPAIR work started at $5500 to a range for more complete repairs starting at $15900. 5) We withheld the last $5000 owed due to our costs to complete and repair work, but Elevated Deck dishonestly placed over an $18000 LIEN on our home. 6) Elevated decks bought their materials on credit, so now the lumber company has ALSO placed a LIEN on our home. 7) The bond for Elevated Decks is willing to reimburse some of our money, but since WE ARE NOT THE ONLY CLIENTS BEING RIPPED OFF, so we can only receive part of it.
