We have worked with Nick at Bella Marley for several of our home projects over the last 12 years. He has excellent craftsmanship and a talent for design. He has tiled our kitchen, bathrooms, floors and now he took on a special project of tiling our above ground swim spa and did a fabulous job bringing the concept to reality. We worked with him every step of the way. He has great work ethics and is so easy to communicate with. I really appreciate his determination to complete his projects with precision and integrity. He's very reliable, honest and fair pricing. A really great guy if you looking for a quality tiler. read more

Perhaps twice a day, I give thanks for my beautifully renovated master bathroom. It has transformed my enjoyment of my home. Rewind to 2013, I hired a licensed general contractor to gut and remodel my other bathroom and although it looked good upon completion, within the first few weeks, I noticed some glaring construction errors. This past experience made me a bit nervous about the process and outcome of this master bathroom remodel. Nick of Bella Marley Tile and Stone came highly recommended by a client of mine. This client has great taste and tends to do a fair amount of research. Additionally, she had hired Nick a second time, so this convinced me, that Bella Marley Tile and Stone was the company to use. Nick is a tile guru. He has a great deal of experience and is a true craftsman and professional. Despite the fact that living in your home during construction is a pain, he and his team were a pleasure to work with. Nick provided great advice, answered my questions and created a bathroom of my dreams. My project was quite involved, as we opened up the room and created a seamless floor to shower connection with a linear drain. It has been two months now that I have had the pleasure of enjoying my bathroom and I have now recommended Nick to clients. In addition to this master bathroom job, he also tore out the floor of my hall bathroom, (the one that was done by a licensed general contractor) as it was cracked down the middle and properly installed new tile. I can not thank Nick and is crewmember Phil enough! read more

Nick was a rock star for us: timely, communicated well, great value & superb craftsmanship. Absolutely earns/deserves more than 5 stars.

I was looking to have my bathroom re-tiled but was not exactly sure what kind of look or style I wanted. I was referred to Nick at Bella Marley Tile by a close friend of mine. My friend assured me that I would be not be disappointed. Reluctantly I called Nick. He called me back within 2 hours. I explained to him that I was not quite sure what I had wanted, he told me not to worry and together we could come up with something great. He answered all my questions with ease and professionalism. Later that week Nick came to my house to check out my bathroom. He was so knowledgeable and had great suggestions for me. I knew from that moment my friend was right, I was not disappointed. I could tell that Nick took pride in his work and would do the best job possible. Two days later Nick emailed me with a detailed estimate . Naturally, I was a little nervous to see the cost. Surprisingly, it was very reasonable and within my budget. Needless to say I immediately emailed back hiring Nick for my new bathroom. The job was expected to take 2 days. Nick arrived at the scheduled time and immediately began working. He and his partner were a great duo, they worked very well together. Before the end of the first day, they made sure everything was neat and cleaned up. When my bathroom was finished I was amazed. It was a complete transformation. I was speechless, it was prettier than I had imagined. Nick and his partner had gone above and beyond paying special attention to little details. I can't say enough about the quality and care that Bella Marley Tile provide. I will definitely used their services again. If you are thinking of having any tiling done give Nick a call, you won't be disappointed. read more

I have been wanting a backsplash for the past few years and it wasn't until recently that I ran into some affordabe glass tiles at Home Depot. That was my inspiration to start getting serious and started contacting different companies for estimates using Yelp. I'm so glad that I found Nick on Yelp! He and his brother did a wonderful job on my kitchen backsplash for a real affordable cost which is much cheaper than the other estimates received. I also thought it was just too good to be true, but let me just tell you, I can't walk into my kitchen without staring over and admiring my backsplash! Nick was friendly and professional and made sure that he answered all my questions and concerns. The upside is that I even have extra tile that I get to return and get some money back! I'm stoked! If you're looking to upgrade your home with tiles, Nick is your guy! He was a pleasure to work with. Definitely will call him again if I ever decide to change out the tiles in my bathroom!!! read more

NICK IS THE TILE GOD!! He did amazing work in my Victorian kitchen where nothing is level. I wanted a huge mural tile over my stove and a tiled hood. He helped me design what I wanted and executed it beautifully. He helped me with grout colors and quickly got back to me with all my questions. He does impeccable work and even the other contractor went out of his way to tells us what a good tiler he is. He is even reasonably priced. STELLAR. read more

Outstanding quality of craftsmanship, flexible and responsive service, and reasonable pricing. Nick and Phil did an exceptional job installing our kitchen backsplash and countertop as well as retiling our bathtub surround. It's definitely worth hiring a tile expert like Nick, although his skills certainly don't end with tilework. read more

Nick and his brother did a great job on our tile back splash in our kitchen. Our old walls were bowed a bit from our newly installed counter top so they had to fill the gap before installing the tile in certain areas. They did a great job and were very clean, neat and friendly to work with. In fact, we liked the work he did so much, we are going to have him do some more back splash since we ended up with extra tile. He was reasonably priced and thorough. Highly recommend read more

I got Nick's referral from Ceren at Natura Tile in Dublin. We wanted to get our fireplace tiled over since the existing brick was an eyesore. He came over to give an estimate and explained how he'd go about the project, the layout and type of edging that we'd like. Since I knew little about tiling, he thoroughly explained what materials he'd use and made a few helpful suggestions based on the existing interiors of my house. The estimate was emailed and fully detailed the scope of the project. In terms of the project itself, he arrived on time and completed the work within the agreed time frame. He laid down protective sheeting for the floors and surrounding furniture and always cleaned up after the days work. The fireplace turned out to be beautiful. We chose to get a bullnose edge for the marble tile and Nick's teammate, Enrique, did a superb job at that. Nick even agreed to fix a broken baseboard tile at no extra cost and was always willing to answer any 'other' tile related questions I had. Overall I found Nick to be friendly and efficient. His pricing was very reasonable and his work was of high quality (I have other tile work around my home from previous owners and in my opinion his work is superior in comparison) Although the scope of our project was small, I would not hesitate to hire him again for larger projects. read more

We were in the need of a tile expert for our bathroom remodel and we needed someone who would be committed to the project to the completion. We had a previous contractor whom left us in a very bad mess after several weeks of work and no where near completion. Nick came highly recommend and we decided to go forward with Bella Marley to redo the entire project due to poor workmanship from the previous contractor. Nick and his team came in every day and worked hard to show progress with quality work. Nick has a great talent for tile and understands this trade inside and out.. He was punctual, experienced, and professional. You wont have to worry about uneven grout lines, uneven tiles, chips, etc. He is a perfectionist and treats his projects as they were his own house. If you are looking for the best tile work for your bathroom, house, etc - then go with Bella Marley! I will be using his services in the future if needed. Thank you Nick, our bathroom is beautiful because of your work! read more

Nick and his team are great! nick is totally responsive and was really invaluable in assisting my wife and I with picking the correct product and design for our kitchen backsplash. Even more important, his crew's workmanship was perfect. Also, Nick is reasonable with his pricing and provides great value with the quality of work that he provides. Nick and his team are the best. They are honest and stand behind their work; there is no one else I would trust to do any tile or stone work. Bella Marley Tile & Stone is A++++. read more

I have known Nick Phillips for several years now. When I first met him he was working as the lead installer under a different contractor. For the last several years he went on his own, got his license and started his own tile company called Bella Marley Tile and Stone. Pros for Nick Phillips: He has always been the contractor, who would not mind going the extra mile needed for his clients. For instance he researches the tiles being specified by the designers, he tries to get the best price for the materials, he picks up the materials for his clients, installs them, he is fast but precise, and at the end of the job the result is beautiful. One of the pros of Nick Phillips is he knows how to read the project. If there are details that would cause problems either in installation or over all look, he would communicate to the client or the designer and would listen to the experts (you would not imagine how many tile installers there are out in the industry who would make the decision without consulting to the designers or the clients). Once he had to do a mosaic one by one to the wall so that the lines would follow each other. Nick really knows how to install tile :) Another good thing about Nick Phillips is he is accountable and reliable. If anything goes wrong (which is rare) he will always stand behind his work. In our conversations he has always mentioned that 'he takes pride in his work''. As a company we do not do installations. We have a list of contractors, tile installers that we give out to customers who asks. I heard from my clients that his prices are very reasonable compared to some other bids that they have got. As far as I know, Nick is preferred by many different general contractors and designers and introduced to their clients as their tile installer. I believe, this is not only because he does good work, but also when he says he will show up, he shows up :) I recently used his work for one my of very best friend's 2 bathroom projects. You should see the result. it was a very challenging job. the house was on the hills and settled in a very bad way. The walls were not straight, the door was not straight, floor was not leveled. The result was absolutely beautiful. He changed the whole look of the 1/2 bath. my friend could not believe his eyes when he saw the transformations seeing the result I knew i did the right decision by referring Nick to my friends. I will continue referring Bella Marley to my clients Good luck on your projects Ceren read more

We bought our house and before moving in we knew we needed the bathroom done as the tile was cracking. As we just bought a house we were strapped for cash so we decided to get a handyman to do the work.....mistake! A year later our new floors were coming up and water was getting underneath. I started scowling through yelp to see who had good reviews and was local. I came across Bella Marley and got in touch with Nick. He explained why the floor was coming up and how he would go about fixing it. A day later I received a quote - which was highly competitive. We were about to go on vacation and really wanted the work done whilst we were gone, he said it wouldn't be a problem. We arrived back 2 weeks later to a masterful job. He left the bathroom clean and put the sink and toilet back better than it was installed in the first place. He will be our go-to person for any tile work. I just wish he did hardwood floors as I we are getting those done soon. read more

I needed my kitchen backsplash tiled. Nick called me back right away and came out in 2 days (at my request) to view the job and give me a quote. He discussed my options and gave me a verbal quote onsite and a follow up written estimate. His quote was competitive and I accepted. He was accommodative of my schedule and came out the following week. It was a day and half , two man job. He and Phil did a fantastic job and they were both courteous and professional. Highly recommended. read more

When you look up professionalism in the dictionary, their should be a picture of Nick Phillips right next to the definition. I too had a very similar experience as a previous yelper. I decided that I wanted to get my fireplace tiled over the existing brick because I am going to be having a christmas party at my place for about 100 co workers and friends and the fireplace definitely needed to be updated! Nick came over to explain everything bout how the project would go from an estimate, the layout he had in mind, materials used, and a couple of suggestions. He later e mailed me the estimate and the FULL details of the project. Nick and his partner Enrique arrived and completed the project in a VERY acceptable time frame in my opinion. He laid down plastic covering over my furniture so that it wouldn't get ruined and cleaned up after every day of work. My fireplace is now beautiful and Nick answered some questions that I had about maybe getting my kitchen re-tiled in the near future. Nick is very friendly, and very professional at his work and I am VERY thankful for all of his great work! read more

Nick just finished a bathroom floor in my house. Great experience start to finish. Super guy. Clean and respectful to the property. The tile work he did looks great. He finished the job as promised. I just got a new kitchen floor and backsplash installed by another company. I was very dissatisfied with their work, so I called Nick to assess the work and make sure I had a legitimate complaint. He was very professional and I even learned a lot in the process. I wish I had chosen Nick to begin with. He even gave me the name of a third-party organization that would evaluate the installation. I hope to use his services in the future to redo my kitchen tile floor and backsplash. read more

Thanks Nick for making our shower look new again! And for working on a Sunday to finish a tough job. Nick was super reliable and his work was excellent (used him and found him easy to work with and affordable after other contractors quoted us $10k for the same job)--with some basic tile and good grout and sealing our bathroom is good as new--no huge remodel needed and it looks great. So nice to work with someone who is honest and reliable and does great work! read more

We're redoing our kitchen and we hired Bella Marley to do the backsplash. Simply put, Nick is awesome. He did the tile around my MIL's fireplace a few years ago so we used him for the same thing. He did an awesome job. When we moved recently, we needed to have both of our bathrooms remodeled. We had used another contractor at our old house and they were a mess. Nick did a great job on both bathrooms. His attention to detail is beyond compare. His layout is well thought out and perfectly executed. His professionalism is amazing. He is very knowledgeable and was very patient with us as we changed our minds and asked for ideas. I know he keeps very busy just through word of mouth and doesn't "need" this review but he deserves it. You will be very happy if you choose Nick. read more

Nick did a fantastic job on our tile work for our new kitchen. Previous tile guys had said what we wanted to do and the tile we had picked were impossible to do. Nick and his team did the impossible! First off he answered all of our questions, and my husband and I have built 3 houses so we had a few. He also didn't have an attitude! I really appreciate that in a contractor that's doing a job for me. His price was very reasonable and he was prompt, courteous, and introduced himself and his fellow worker to both my husband and myself. They took as long as they said they would and prepped my hardword floors and cleaned up afterwards. And best of all the tile looks great! These guys are artists to accomplish what they did for us and in the timeframe they did it in. Yes, Bella Marley Tile is probably about as good as it gets. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and recommend them to whomever needs good tile work done. M. Case Danville, CA read more

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! Great work done, on time and as promised. Nick is a quality craftsman who does things right. Easy to work with and absolutely committed to satisfying the customer. Does the work you would expect from an old world craftsman. He is a modern guy with a great eye for design, but does work like they did when the term "craftsman" really meant something. Trustworthy and a true master of the trade. Use him without hesitation. read more
