Lime was good. Not bad. Not great. But the lime got the job done and Rickshaw has vibes.

This is the quintessential dive bar karaoke joint. They serve some form of Chinese/Asian fusion dishes and have a fast bar that serves up quick cocktails. They have really friendly karaoke DJs and an even friendlier crowd of regulars that come out and have the best vocal pipes I've come across in Seattle. The Rickshaw has some notoriety because just about everyone has come to practice their songs or croon with their buddies here. The respect for everybody willing to get up and sing is palpable. The cheering is genuine and sometimes the sing-alongs are the best things ever. You should come try this place. It's a Seattle institution. Parking is somewhat limited but they do have their own parking lot if you get there early enough.

Cool cute place to drink but do yourself a favor and skip the food. The egg roll filling was just shredded almost raw cabbage. Fried rice tasted like it came out a microwaved bag. And the nachos- the sour cream was definitely expired. We paid extra for beef and got literally maybe a tablespoon of "beef crumbles" see picture. Bartenders and servers are super nice would come back for drinks but not the food.

I love coming here for karaoke and drinks. They have a good size menu too and so far everything I've ordered has been great.

Food was very good, looks like a fun place for locals to hang out n do karaoke! We arrived around 830p on Saturday night, by 930 many groups coming in for food and starting up karaoke. Our server was very kind , food was great prices . We will be back!

An institution. Bartenders are always super nice and nice regulars too. Love going for some late night some greazy american Chinese food.

I just moved to Seattle from Austin last Friday, and my first order of business was finding a great…read moreneighborhood bar like I had in Austin. The bar should have Norm Peterson-like regulars, cheap drinks and a good jukebox. And, well, Thunderbird fits the bill. I've been here every day this week so far, and have already made a lot of new friends who are starting to feel like family. My standard well vodka soda drink only costs $3.50, just like it does at Hideout Pub in Austin, and I can manipulate the jukebox to fit my tastes with the TouchTunes app. The only flaw here is the lack of parking (only a few spots on the side), but I can always park in the nearby neighborhood and walk it, or just take Lyft. This is because the snooty strip club next door isn't willing to share its spots but is more than willing to encourage their patrons to take Thunderbird's spots. I have yet to try the food, but I have no doubt it will surpass expectations, turning the trifecta from my first paragraph into a quadfecta. To note, Hideout Pub in Austin also has great food, so this newfound quadfecta is a natural progression. The night crowd is a little different than the happy hour crowd, but not in a bad way. What I mean is, I have yet to be approached by a creeper at Thunderbird, unlike at a select few other Ballard area bars who shall remain nameless. But, there's always tomorrow night.

We…read morewalked in around 9:30 p.m. and stayed for nearly two hours, so that gives you an idea of our experience! We knew they were known for their karaoke nights, but had no idea we stumbled into one until the host announced it shortly after we arrived. Well, let's just say it was a BLAST and probably the best run karaoke event in the city. One of the Waterwheel's own bartenders even sang a song which brought the house DOWN. After a year and a half of the pandemic, a crowded bar with happy vibes and lots of cheering and clapping felt so good. What was also good: the drinks. I saw they had house cocktails so I ordered the Spaghetti Western (rye, Cynar, angostura) and the Patsy Cline (their house lemonade mixed with huckleberry syrup and some kind of alcohol, forget which). My partner got his dive bar favorite, a beer from Seapine. The bartenders were friendly, efficient and took good care of everyone from start to finish. Also, the place was clean and had ample seating. We loved the 70s aesthetic with the wood paneling inside and astroturf outside. Definitely grab a seat inside if you're looking to participate in the karaoke nights (or just watch like we did). The crowd was a great mix of ages and backgrounds, which made for a fun song selection. My only wish is that they would go back to serving food in-house (even just fries), because I heard really good things about their brunch and late night menus. But I guess during COVID they have a partnership going on some days with local Mexican pop-up El Xolo. I hear it's pretty amazing so I'll have to check that out soon!

I love a good dive bar, and this Ballard classic doesn't disappoint. With its dark interior,…read morevintage seating, and hidden away vibe it checks all the boxes for a place you're not likely to run into anyone you know. But **wow** do they deliver for karaoke night! Held multiple times per week, I've been twice now and it's probably one of the best karaoke bars I've ever been do. The music is great, the sound system is fantastic, and (best of all) the crowd is over-the-top amazing. When I sing karaoke, I like everyone to think I'm Beyonce herself slinging out the tunes on the main stage. Of course, I'm no Beyonce. In fact, I can barely hold a tune. But you wouldn't know it 'cuz this crowd is on FIRE. They dance. They cheer. They sing along. They make you feel like you should be touring the country with your latest rendition of "Take on Me" or other long-ago tunes. The Waterwheel also has an impressive selection of good beer on tap, strong drinks, and deadly jello shots. Getting a little warm after belting out the hits? Their outdoor seating area is great too! I haven't tried their food yet, but...next time for sure.

I ordered the 8 oz sirloin steak and asked for it to be prepared medium rare. I declined the side-salad due to dietary restrictions. However I had no problem eating the steak fries and sourdough toast. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a portion of horseradish included. Take care with the horseradish because it is very potent! Fortunately I enjoy very potent horseradish and happily ate it with my steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and was juicy and tasty. I was not disappointed in any way with my meal. I did regret not ordering a red wine though. If I had it to do over I would have indulged.

They also give you garlic bread with the chowder and that was also amazing. I wanted the chowder and garlic bread again the next day. The service was friendly and efficient. We got our order in quickly and the food arrived quickly. I was waiting for the check but then saw someone go up to the bar to pay. So, that's what I did. I'm still not sure if that was what I was supposed to do though. The inside is a little dark. There is a lot of water/fishing related decor. There is a small amount of booths and a small amount of stools at the bar. After we got there a lot of people came in and had to wait because there isn't a lot of seating.
