Rabbits welcome. Food is great. Backyard garden is my favorite. The foliage is mature and lush. I also love the Monday Night Football Free Board.

Over the course of being in Seattle for four days I've been four times. A great place to have a cheap pint. They have about 15 varieties and some bottles. Drinks are about $5 each and are nice full pints. The staff is very nice and come to you quickly. The pool table is only 75 cents. Everyone here has been very friendly even though it's a dive bar. They have a great ginger ale/beer too for the non drinkers. Secret sausage is served here. $5 for the secret sausage , served "Seattle Style" with a hot link and cream cheese. Their firlander sauce brings the heat on it too. For $5 you get the dog and some kettle chips. Great place to hang out, as the TV is on too. Cheers!

The calm before the storm! Haha! Great place for pool!

Very cool place with a great vibe! Definitely plan on going earlier next time as they sold out of the slaw dogs by the time I got there. Opening night was so much fun! It was standing room only during the dinner hours! The new owners are awesome and Madison is such a sweetheart! They came to our table personally to ask what we thought of the place - very friendly! Definitely a great duo that really care about the Thunderbird. The secret sausage dog was great though and the hubby loved the Firlander sauce on the table! Also nice they have a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks too. We'll definitely be back!

Food offerings, full bar and LOTS of TVs!!

Great spot with gourmet sausages, stiff drinks and great bartenders. Specials most nights with bingo on Thursday and all you can eat spaghetti on Sundays. Limited parking but offers 2 pool tables (tournament every Monday) and foosball too. Takes cards and open great hours!

Not so secret--sausages advertised at each table and blackboard behind the bar.

They eat hipsters for lunch in this bar. Highly recommend, especially if you have a drinking problem.

Heavy pours and reasonable labor. Observed some ladies of the evening coaxing up other bar goers. What a night!

You don't walk into Big Bad John expecting refinement--but even by dive bar standards, this place…read morefeels less like a throwback and more like it's been left behind. There's no warmth waiting for you here. No charm to soften the edges. Just a small bar, guarded--literally--by a security presence, and a room filled with heavy, worn wooden booths that have seen better decades. Not years--decades. Look up, and you'll find the signature décor: a ceiling crowded with women's undergarments. Bras, mostly. Some scrawled with messages, others just hanging there, collecting time and dust in equal measure. The occasional pair of panties or something more adventurous makes an appearance, but the effect isn't quirky so much as... committed. Committed to a theme that's long overstayed its welcome. Dust is part of the aesthetic here, whether intentional or not. It clings to everything, including those ceiling relics, turning what might once have felt playful into something closer to a time capsule you're not sure should've been opened. And yet--there's life in the room. The ambiance, somehow, is still jovial. People are laughing, drinks are flowing, and there's a certain unspoken agreement among patrons to just go with it. The drinks are surprisingly cheap by Victoria standards, which certainly helps smooth over some of the rougher edges. And then there are the peanuts--toss the shells on the floor, no one's judging. In fact, it's encouraged. It's chaotic, a little grimy, and unapologetically itself. For me, it's a one-and-done. The kind of place you visit once, take in the spectacle, and check the box. But talk to the regulars, and you'll hear a different story. For them, this isn't a relic--it's a ritual. A place that hasn't changed, and that's exactly the point. Whether that's endearing or exhausting probably depends on how much nostalgia you're willing to drink with your beer. Cheers...

I ordered the 8 oz sirloin steak and asked for it to be prepared medium rare. I declined the side-salad due to dietary restrictions. However I had no problem eating the steak fries and sourdough toast. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a portion of horseradish included. Take care with the horseradish because it is very potent! Fortunately I enjoy very potent horseradish and happily ate it with my steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and was juicy and tasty. I was not disappointed in any way with my meal. I did regret not ordering a red wine though. If I had it to do over I would have indulged.

They also give you garlic bread with the chowder and that was also amazing. I wanted the chowder and garlic bread again the next day. The service was friendly and efficient. We got our order in quickly and the food arrived quickly. I was waiting for the check but then saw someone go up to the bar to pay. So, that's what I did. I'm still not sure if that was what I was supposed to do though. The inside is a little dark. There is a lot of water/fishing related decor. There is a small amount of booths and a small amount of stools at the bar. After we got there a lot of people came in and had to wait because there isn't a lot of seating.

We walked in as a party of 2 on a Thursday around 9pm and it was not too busy - probably half the bar was occupied. We opted to sit at one end of the bar because the bar seats are where the vibes are at. The place is decorated in a fairly elegant and old school manner, so you are somewhat transported away from the outside reality. We got the Tobe's Thique Mint and Garden Party. I loved the creaminess and cinnamon afternotes of Tobe's Thique Mint, and it also looks somewhat pretty. It is quite a heavy drink, so one was enough to fill me up. The Garden Party was a bit of a miss since as much as I tasted the orange and grapefruit, it was a very light drink and tasted a little watered down. The biggest plus is that the drinks are fairly affordable compared to the greater Seattle area, priced at $14. I liked how their menu says 14 for $14, as they have just 14 cocktails to choose from and the drinks seem to rotate seasonally. For us, we went just in time to still have the spring menu, but they will change to the summer menu on June 20.
