This was extremely helpful for me as I live out of state and was trying to monitor and manage the work from afar. Jose explained all the work to us in advance and went over all options with us before we started. They provided a detailed estimated that went over all the work that was found after the roof was inspected. After the project was completed they have been very helpful on follow up items and provided me all the paperwork for my warranty as well as managing the permit with the city that was opened. Out of…read more3 bids, theirs was the most reasonable, plus I saw that they had a history of good reviews and had also done good work for a friend. Overall I was very impressed by the quality of installation of the siding -- Hardie board underlain by 3/4" strandboard, with sealant and painting. The precision of assembly was quite good, and a considerable improvement in strength and durability over the original siding. Likewise, the doors were installed with good precision, and they function well. I was less impressed with the finer painting of the doors. The basic contract included only exterior painting of the doors in the same color as the exterior of the house. We wanted a different colored door, plus we wanted to have the interiors of the doors painted, as well as the addition and painting of corresponding trim (doors have 2 sides). This was all coordinated directly with the project supervisor for an additional fee. This additional work was mostly completed on the final day of the project, and appeared to be a rush job. The trim was added with rough jointing, and the painting around the doors was amateurish with much overpainting of adjacent surfaces. I had to subsequently revise the painting myself to achieve an adequate quality. Overall, the work on the exterior siding and door installation was excellent, and I highly reccommend Advanced Home Exteriors for this. Finer painting about the doors was a weaker area, and I'm knocking off a star for that.

We called Jay and he was at our house a day later with all the information we needed. Within a week they were at our house taking off the old roof and installing a new roof. His crew was great! They arrived on time and worked all day until the sun went down. They had a little more to do so they came back the next morning, finished up, and cleaned up our yard, and our neighbors on both sides where some debris went. They used that big magnet to get any nails that had fallen. Jay came by in the morning when they started, came back during the day, sent us photos, from the crew, of the progress they were making on the roof. Called us to tell us there were no issues on the old roof, took photos when they were done. All-in-all a great job and we would recommend Jay and company to anyone looking for a great roofing company. On a side note, Texas Roofing & Siding is a turnkey company. We also needed a couple of trees removed. He has another crew that does that. We had our roof replaced in Oct 2008 when IKE hit the area. The work was done well and we were…read morepleased. A few years later, small leak and Paul was quick to respond, take a look and make some repairs at a minor cost. 10 years later, we are selling and the buyers inspector has a roofing company come out and they recommend a whole new roof and that the shingles are defective and will only last 1-2 years. I text Paul with details, he calls me back within 30 minutes, has my file and looked at the inspection report. He has Ted come out within 3 hours, gets on the roof and documents any issues which defunct the issue that the shingles were in bad shape at all. The roof will last another 7-8 years. Knowing our option period ends next day, Ted heads to the office and produces an estimate, clearly documents the roof is in good shape and outlines how we can transfer the warranty to the new owner after close. I was very happy with the quick response, the quality of their assessment and the timeline of producing what we needed to educate the buyer. Thanks Paul and Ted.
