Rick's not only answered the call, Rick himself came to our home the next day to work up an estimate. The price was reasonable and the service far exceeded our expectations. Every day I still feel the pain of hiring this company. They moved us locally in December 2019. We had packed all of our boxes, and my husband made the mistake of not supervising the removal of boxes from the bedroom. One box was set aside for us to move, but it ended up being transported by them. Within 24 hours of the move, I discovered they had opened this box and stolen my custom made wedding ring set, my grandmothers wedding ring from the early 1930s and my old high school ring. These items are irreplaceable... and the gold in them was minimal. I know the movers went to Mexico the night of our move, because they told us they could not come back the next day. When I requested the company search their truck, they never called us back. We even had the theft on video... I advise that no one uses this company. After almost a month of being settled Into my new house. I've looked for a pair of my husbands Jordan's special edition, meaning they were expensive and haven't found them. I noticed they were missing while moving but I gave the two guys helping me the benefit of the doubt and thought I must of packed them. I called them back a week after I moved . Whoever answered said she would investigate and return my call. Although I never followed through, I'm very disappointed to say the least. Those Jordan's were not in a box they were next to my dresser put aside. I'm not one to ever leave bad reviews or even complain but this to me is unacceptable . read more

The service by the movers was good. They did break some items, dirtied some pieces of furniture and even scraped a door entry. But I understand accidents happen especially after working 11 hours on a move. But what causes me to provide a low rating is the fact that a worker stole a WiFi extender device from my home causing my newly installed security system not to work properly. And when I called the owner to discuss, he was combative and unwilling to provide good customer service to replace a part that only cost $50. Considering he told me he was bonded, it seemed like an empty statement if one can't even replace a $50 part. read more

Love this moving company!! They were able to find me movers despite a one day notice and the two guys that moved our household things were fast, efficient and very nice. I don't even recommend 1 star. When I called to ask for a quote,some man on the phone said $50 an hour and a 2 hour minimum. They got to my house at 4:50pm and told me it was going to be $60 an hour. After a phone call he proceeded to tell me that $50 was fine. Don't get me wrong,they did a good job moving everything. When the job was done they tried to scam my huband into paying an extra hour,which luckily my husband remembered what time they got there and they kept insisting they got there at 4 exactly. After a little dispute he gave up and said "oh yeah you're right..we did get here at 4:50pm." that's not all. They put our master bed and my daughter's crib back together until today I saw my daughter stick on the side of the crib because they did a super crappy job in putting it back. In June of 2013 we moved from Edinburg in the Rio Grande Valley to Houston, TX. I had already packed all the moving boxes myself. The first day Rick's sent over 3 workers. They took such care packing our belongings into the truck that a puzzle maker could not have done a better job. Because of their skill we were able to use only one truck and save ourselves over a thousand dollars. Rick's was the only mover we contacted who believed he could get all our things in one of his larger than usual moving vans and I frankly didn't believe him until it actually happened. Kudos.... and apologies to Rick for doubting him. After spending a day packing up our 3 bedroom, two story house the worker's secured the moving van full of our belongings on the Rick's Moving and Storage property overnight. The next morning two different worker's left very early and drove the van to Houston and we met them at our new home that morning. They proceeded to carefully unpack our belongs and place them in the correct rooms. This was another all day job but they kept at it until it was done. I was so impressed with their services that I am recommending them to my son for his upcoming move home to Houston. Thank you Rick and your excellent employees! read more

Needed help unloading a large pod with all our furniture and boxes into our new home in Edinburg. Paco and Albert were extremely professional, careful, and fast. They got here on time and worked efficiently the whole time. Plus, the price was very reasonable at $50/hour with a two hour minimum. We moved here from Austin where the price can easily be $75 or $100 an hour. Didn't use their storage or transportation services so I can't speak to that, but would definitely recommend them for loading/unloading! read more

The company's owner walked me through every step of the way and made sure there were ZERO problems along the way. His workers took pride in their work. None of my belongings were lost or damaged. I am very upset with this moving company, I had my furniture in their storage for almost a year, I was paying $125.00 a month, I trusted that they would of taken care of my furniture because I was paying a good amount each month. When I received my furniture it had mold inside some of my drawers and rat deposits as well, there were also water marks throughout the outside of my furniture. I feel that it was not protected against weather elements or rodents. It's a shame that I spent $2000.00 with this company and they didn't have the audacity to care for my things, I will never use or recommend this company! read more

OMG! This is the worse company ever!!! We used them with out realizing what we were getting into. Their "climate control" is a fan with an open door. Needless to say, all of our things are covered in dust and dirt. Things are not organized. Everything is just thrown in there. Absolutely the worse place EVER!!!! read more

We just used Rick's Moving and Storage. I would NEVER use them again. Within 45 minutes of arriving and loading one of the 2 workers got a call from Rick (the owner) about something that had supposedly happened days before (accident). The worker was fired over the phone. This took almost an hour. The company sent a replacement worker an hour and a half later. When Rick dropped off the replacement worker he apparently found out he was mistaken about the accident of days before and re-hired the first worker. Rick would not offer any discount and charged us for the 2 hours of firing, arguing, bickering, re-hiring and NO PACKING. Rick has no business sense and could care less about his customers. He should not be allowed to continue. He is rude, uneducated and a complete bafoon. He pays his employess minimum wage and treats them like animals. I would never use them again and would NOT recommend them to anyone. STAY AWAY!!!!!! read more
