I was going to hire this company for my local move and the man who answers the phone, let me down I had requested 3 men instead of two but the jerk who is scheduling didn't even send me a confirmation evidently he does things orally only, anyhow I called to remind him of my move, he put me on hold and came back and told me that he was not going to have 3 men and for me to go somewhere else, then he hung up! I think that this company and the man answering the phone are total idiots, inconsiderate, and very unprofessional and one cannot rely on people like him (them) to do a good job. I heard good things until the actual movers showed up. I hate to think the whole company is as unprofessional and the few individuals who arrived to move my things. We used their service a month ago and as we've been unpacking over the weeks too many little things are missing. Walls are scratched, dent in the ceiling, etc... I took photos of the movers slowly moving small items one at a time to make me pay for more hours. I wouldn't recommend. read more

My furniture had several scratches. The condo where they moved furniture into also got scratched. Missing screws to our TV wall mount. Most importantly our king size bed was missing screws and it's very wobbly. I called for 2wks straight, multiple times a day, left messages, even spoke to "owner(major language barrier)" regarding my issues but was always given the runaround. His only response regarding screws was, "Let me call the crew, they usually have a bucket of "Extra screws" in a bucket and will call you back".. this happened on numerous occasions with no response. I called once and literally had to pretend I was inquiring about services to speak to someone, but then I got same response when I mentioned my situation. I often thought that if you're "licensed and bonded" you wouldn't have these problems or problems would be addressed and fixed but I was wrong. I may be being petty asking for screws but I can't mount my TV and my bed moves. I believe if you pay for a service you should get what you paid for!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! read more

My husband and I hired Luilui moving on a sudden move from Harlingen to McAllen when no other movers would accommodate us in such a short notice and with reasonable rate. Uneased and stressed out for the move because of our designer furniture and marble table, the owner called us back and explained how they care for the furniture. When the movers arrived they were ready with all their special equipment and wrappings. So quick and polite Roland and Danny very understanding to my ocd reassuring us everything would arrive unharmed. Overall this sudden move was very stressing, but so happy there is still people who care about other people's belongings. These movers are fantastic. They go the extra mile to make sure that your furniture doesn't get scratched, and they are very efficient. They moved my grand piano without a scratch. They blanket and wrap everything, and have their own large moving truck. Their prices are very reasonable. Never ever hire this moving service. Movers stole many items-GO mower battery and charger, Ryobi 6 station battery charger (I ordered replacement of these through Amazon-cost $700. and not nearly as good as what I had) after all what good is mower with no battery and no charger) and 4 super Ryobi batteries, Ryobi battery operated trimmer, Fiskar extend limb cutter, lion statute, 8" rose bush trimmer, and other stupid miscellaneous items. Last of all, my Proforma treadmill was damaged to the point it doesn't work. I called Lui Lui several times and they basically laughed at me. This is one company you should never hire. read more

From the reviews I had read, I generally thought people had a good experience. I wasn't one of the former reviews. Lack of communication, poor planning, and long delivery times have led me to give this company only 2 stars. I made a move from McAllen, TX to Austin, TX. The owner of Lui Lui came to my apt to give me a free estimate and the price seemed reasonable and the date worked out perfect for both of us. The quoted price was only a few hundred dollars more than I had paid for a shorter move from Corpus Christi to McAllen a couple of years ago, so I decided that it was good deal. The movers, who spoke only Spanish (more on this in a bit), showed up at the earliest time that I could schedule (promptly at 7:00am). When asked where I was going to be moving, they were completely unaware and unprepared to move me across the state. After some calls to the manager and a call from the owner about the mix up, it seems like there was a lack of communication in the office. I had anticipated that something like this might happen because when I called to schedule my move date two weeks before, they had not asked me about destination. They only took the date and pickup place. I had called them the day before my scheduled move date and the office manager assured me that everything was okay and that everything would be in place. They told me, "not to worry." This was not the case as we found out and I made it explicit that the reason I had contacted the company was to avoid this issue. The workers had to get a bigger truck and they returned to my apt within 30 mins (which isn't too bad considering). They began loading my stuff and moving along. It was difficult communicating with the workers who spoke only Spanish. While I am aware of the region of Texas that I was moving from, it made this especially more challenging when we had that problem with the destination of my move and later in the day. Everything was eventually solved but as stressful as moves can be this probably isn't something you want to be dealing with. Thankfully there was one worker who spoke English who showed up later and was able to translate. I had scheduled the move early in the morning. I had a lot to get done my first day and needed them to be able to get my stuff moved into a storage unit early in the afternoon. The movers had got all of my stuff into the truck by 8:50 and were off on their way to Austin. They mentioned that the had to stop in San Antonio (I'm assuming for gas or food?) but they never mentioned why. They told me that they would call me when they were 45 mins away from Austin. I agreed and figured that would be okay. I had to do a final walk-through of my old apt and had to wait for a while. I ended up leaving McAllen 40 minutes after the movers. I arrived in Austin around 2:30pm. I signed my storage unit lease and waited for a bit. I texted the workers asking were they were. No response. I called the workers (again, who only spoke Spanish) and they weren't able to tell me where they were at. I tried calling the office. They said they would check on it and call me back. 30 mins later, they hadn't called me back. I called them and the person taking the calls said he got off the phone a little while ago and that they weren't even in San Antonio yet. I left the storage facility and waited for the movers to call me when they were 45 mins away. I didn't receive a call until 6:00pm that they would meet me at the storage facility until 6:45. I waited until 7:20 when they finally arrived and started to unload everything. They weren't finished until 8:10. That took a total of 12 hours for a move! I just can't understand why it took them so long! And to top it off, there was some damage to my furniture. Which the workers denied or tried to brush off. I understand some things like this happen and I'm pretty understanding when it comes to customer service but I didn't receive as much as an "I'm sorry" from the owner, workers, or manager. On day of the move , nothing so we called them and first they were running late, then as time passed, they didnt answer the phone at all... so we were stuck moving it ourselves ... The movers were great. I booked them real last minute & on a Sunday! It was my first time using movers so not sure how good the price was. I moved from McAllen to mission. It was a 2 bedroom apartment so didn't have too many things to move. The 2 men were able to finish in exactly 2 hours which was the minimum amount of time needed in order to book them. I ended up paying $150. $70/hour & $10 cause they wrapped two of my dressers with plastic wrap. They didn't scratch or ruin anything so I was happy. The only thing that was eh was that their main language is Spanish & my husband had to do the talking since I can't speak it that well. Other than that everything worked out just fine. read more

We hired this business to move us out of our home this weekend. They stole my Mother's dolly! They had been using it to make the moving easier. When my mom called the next morning (Saturday) to ask for it, one of the movers admitted he had reminded his partner it belonged to us as they were packing up and the guy insisted he pack it anyway! My mom was told it would be brought back that day by a woman named Veronica, who never showed. So then me and my 55 year old mom had to do a lot of heavy lifting throughout the entire day as we had a garage sale. On Sunday, as we once again brought out a lot of heavy furniture for our garage sale, my mom called Veronica again to ask for the return of her dolly. Veronica agreed to have the men return it and said they would help move some of the furniture items to our driveway to make up for their mistake. When the men got there, they returned the dolly - which had gone from looking new to being scratched and dented- and flat out refused to do any work unless they were paid- regardless of the fact that this had already been agreed upon with the business and they had already admitted to flat-out stealing our dolly!! One of the men was talking to my mother so loudly and rudely that one of our garage sale customers made a comment afterward, thinking he might have to step in because it was getting way out of hand! The guys that arrived were very efficient, they listened to my "coding" system (I put neon pink dots on all the items they needed to load while things I was personally moving had yellow dots), and were polite doing it. I'm a picky person and these folks were great. I'd use them again in a heart beat. The one thing I may regret is that I have quite a few HEAVY things and I should have considered getting 3 movers and one truck. Other than that- they were great! read more

This is a ridiculous business designed to trick you. Their website advertises "fully insured", however they are not. What they will do is offer 10 cents for every pound the item broken weighs. For instance, if they break a brand new television, they will pay you $1. Because it might weigh 10 pounds. In my experience with them, they dropped my $1,500 television on its face. Fortunately for me, it landed on pillows. They also left a big unsightly scratch on the front of my daughters brand new night stand. When they wanted me to pay, I asked them about my daughters night stand. They said they would call me back in a day or two and help me fix the night stand. So I paid in good faith, but its been 15 days and no call back and they are not even answering their phones. If you value your belongings stay away from this company. read more

These guys took 6 hours to move us down the road, didn't put our king headboard back together correctly and I'm missing an expensive watch and earrings after the move. We hired this company to pack and move us. We moved less than a mile down the road. They packed and it should have taken no longer than 3 hours to move us. IT TOOK THEM 6 HOURS!! I have moved a lot and know that it should not have taken that long. When we were unpacking, we were missing our prescription medications, hats, and a few household items. They also left our safe and a box of books in the elevator at our old residence. Our previous neighbor noticed the safe had been busted open and it was in the dumpster. Our neighbor gathered the belongings and then called us. My social security card was stolen and I don't doubt all of my girlfriend's information was stolen as well, they just didn't take her items. I called and spoke to the owner and he said he didn't really care and was not going to refund any of our money. This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. They are lazy and ruined a brand new filing cabinet we had just bought one week prior to them moving us. STAY AWAY FROM LUI LUI. read more
