NOT recommended! Brought in two Tommy Bahama shirts for dry cleaning a first time visit there to Ricks and they had to clean both shirts all over again because they did not get the stains out. NIT even close! Now After 2 weeks one shirt was actually clean...BUT, now they have actually LOST the other Tommy Bahama shirt! These shirts are $200 plus each! This nightmare has been going on for a month now. BTW; they dont do any dry cleaning on site, they send it out. read more

I have four large heavy panels of the Pottery Barn Emery Linen Curtains with black out lining. These are a best seller and are a great solution to our blistering summers. They needed a good spring cleaning. I read about how to clean them on the website and online blogs, and was very hesitant about having them cleaned. I read stories about how linen will yellow, and all sorts of mishaps with the blackout lining and shrinkage. I admit, I called Jack Brown cleaners at first, but they do not launder or dry clean drapes. I have used Rick's cleaners for many years, here in Georgetown, and never had a bad experience, so I trusted their work. I was absolutely delighted to get them back. Crisp, clean, and sparkling white with no shrinkage! They were pressed, folded and hung so professionally. I will tell the Decorators, at the Pottery Barn Arboretum, about my great experience and not to hesitate to recommend that their clients trust Rick's to clean their linen drapes. You don't appreciate trusting someone until you hand over something precious. Your pet. Your car. Your suit that fits you so well. Your dad's military t-shirt his squadron made in Thailand. Two of those things I handed over to Rick's and was very happy. I'm pretty sure they'd look after my car and pet as well if I asked haha. They are so efficient. In and out once your info is in the system. They recognize regulars so even faster. The most I've waited was a couple of minutes and part of that was me opening the door for someone with outgoing laundry. Their work is very good. No 'flat spots' from pressing or stiffness of fabric. And they are careful to note spots from unclean people who might have dripped salsa or mustard on themselves (not me, just word on the street is some heathens do this). But word is from experienced people those stains are removed very, very well. Good folks, good place and worth your business. read more

I went in to pick up my clothes and the associate was very rude. When I asked her about same day service she mention it's only done during the week. She mentioned that my clothes would be available on Monday. Her response wasn't the problem but her attitude was horrible! She mumbled something under her breathe and tells me her name, she says, "you look like you're going to complain" but I had made my mind up that would be my last time visiting this particular location. She will get what's coming to her because someone else isn't going to put up with her foolishness. She's going to be out of a job with that nasty attitude. Another associate starts mouthing off without getting the full details and I requested a refund on my comforter that I had just dropped off and was told they aren't able to give me refund. Later Katz calls me back saying they credited my account back. I just noticed they didn't repair my pants which was the clothes I was picking up today. Customer service is definitely a skill these individuals should work on. I will be reaching out to management about my alteration that was suppose to be done but i will never go back!!!! read more

Some of my clothing was given to other customer. I was given other customers clothing. When I returned what was not mine, I did not receive all mine back. I did not even get "I am sorry" from the employees. I felt I was treated as if this all mixup was my fault. I felt they were not polite. They made me feel very uncomfortable. They were very defensive. I felt they were hiding something they were not telling me. They asked me to come back on Monday, as if I am working for them (leave my work to go there was their expectation?) They could have politely asked for an appointment to settle this instead... the way good business should be done. The way they looked at me made me feel as if I was an annoyance to them. They mixed up the clothing, this was not my fault. No store that has received so much money/ business from me has ever made me feel this bad before. Very disappointing!!! read more

I've been a Ricks customer for many years and have always been very happy. They are by far the cheapest and still do a great job. So why the 1 star review? Around a year or so ago or less they switched to a new inboarding system that is extremely painful and time consuming. If you bring in a big load be prepared to wait a long long time while they enter each item into this slow system. They have to scan it with a scanner that doesn't work well. They have to enter description and brand for each piece. It takes like 10-15 minutes while you're standing there. I will be researching new places. If I can find any that are reasonable I am switching even if more money. read more

Not sure if the Rick's Cleaners here in Georgetown has changed management, but the cleaning lately has been pretty disappointing. Took clothes in last week and asked to have the shirts folded (about to do some traveling) and they weren't folded at pick up. Attendant behind the counter just shrugged and said "oh well." Also asked to have blue jean's creased (as is always the case) but no crease in any of the jeans. Wife put a new pair of pants in to be dry cleaned and they came back stained. When I asked the attendant about this, she said, "yes, that's just cleaning solution. Bring the pants back when they are dry (they were slightly wet from my wife trying to remove the stain) and we'll see if we can remove that. I asked, if she could just set the pants out until they dry and then send to have repaired. Nope, can't do that, need to bring them back. So one star only because I have to at least award that. Hope this isn't a new pattern. read more

i took my leather jacket in and they did a fantastic job :) i was hesitant to take it to a cleaner, because i was afraid of harsh chemicals being used and damaging it. but upon further questioning, i learned they only use natural and organic ingredients when cleaning their leather which was a huge relief! all of the staff i spoke with were wonderful, very friendly and knowledgable. the pricing was very reasonable as well, it was only around $50, which was well worth it. it came back to me as good as new! thank you :) read more

So the first time I came here like 3 months ago, I brought my dress uniform (I'm an army officer) to get dry cleaned for a professional photo. They told me it would be done in like 2 or 3 days, can't remember exactly how long they said. Went back on the day they told me and it wasn't there. Felt a bit panicky since I needed my uniform for a photo and they're pretty expensive and take extensive tailoring. I went back like 3 different times and they finally found it on the 3rd time, but I ended up having to reschedule my photo since my uniform was lost. Fast forward to the present: decided to give them another chance since it's right by my house. Brought a comforter there to get cleaned. My ticket said it would be ready Thursday. Went on Thursday to pick it up and it wasn't there. They claimed their system said it would be ready Friday. Ok, not a huge deal, but not looking promising. Went back today (Saturday) and it's still not there. The girl at the counter was super rude and told me in a snotty voice "well I know it's not here". Claims that it will probably be there today. Never coming back here and if you value your laundry, you won't try this place either. Their system for tracking is the worst I've ever seen. read more

Took my finance's wedding suit to be tailored. Instead of letting the pants out, they took them in and the hem was uneven. The jacket was fine (just took up sleeves). We bought another pair of pants since the wedding was imminent and I wasn't sure they could fix them in time. Took the original pair back to Ricks to be fixed. Emailed back and forth with tailor. Originally I wanted a refund on the tailoring and compensation for the pants but I changed my mind because I felt bad. I told her if she fixed the pants we'd call it even. I never heard back from her. Emailed the main store. Never heard back. No refund, no apology, nada. I have photos of the pants, receipts and copies of the texts and emails. I recommend AA Alterations in Round Rock. They hemmed his new pants and did an excellent job for $12. Update: Customer service is trying... Update 2: They reimbursed me for the pants and tailoring. read more

Went to pick up my laundry for two shirts and was told they would be ready for pick up the day prior (Friday) at 5pm. When I went the next day (Saturday) the lady looked for them for several minutes then came back and said "I guess they missed the truck but they'll be ready on Monday after 5pm". No off we of a refund or discount on future services and no attempt to contact me and let me know they wouldn't be ready. The customer in front of me was told the exact same thing and was in a worse predicament than I was with needing his garments. I needed these shirts for interviews on Monday and now I have to go out and buy new ones. I came here because of the reviews I saw but after this experience I will definitely not be back. read more

We choose Ricks, even though there are other cleaners nearer to us( in Sun City). It is also the home of great deals on volume cleaning. We find our sweaters stay like new, if we have them cleaned at the end of the season. Recently, I planned to use their " press only" coupon, but had a health crisis and missed the coupon deadline. I contacted them via CHAT, and they extended the price for me. What a generous and friendly thing to do. Hope you will always have a great experience with them also. read more

The worst dry cleaners I have used. I used them about a year ago and my clothes where lost, for some reason I tried them again and regret it. I had some jeans starched and after 4 days I finally get them back and the starch lines are terrible! I'm not a picky person when it comes to my jeans but the lines are not centered down either leg, about 3" difference for one pant leg to the other. The extra heavy start is also probably the softest I've ever got, they hardly stick together. I DO NOT recommend using them as I have tried them twice over a course of a year and had terrible experience both times. I do not know how they stay in business. I will never try use them, a customer lost. read more

I was told this summer that they would allow me to have about 30 shirts laundered for $.99 ea. Upon that agreement I went out of my way to drop them off and even spoke to business center that day WHILE IN THE STORE. So I dropped them off. For a month I went by twice waiting for the office to make the necessary changes for me to pay and pick up. I waited another WEEK and decided to call before dropping by again. I was THEN after I CALLED that they would not honor that discussion and agreement because now that they have cleaned them they DONT REMEMBER THAT CONVERSATION. SO.... If you are a nonprofit and have an agreement even if the conversation takes place with the store manager IN THE AREA don't use Ricks Cleaners. Sad part is that I told the manager that we would use them at full cost for our ENTIRE ORDER of pants, dresses and shirts at end of school year for helping us this year. Needed my shirts dry cleaned for an event on Saturday afternoon, and was promised a 3pm pickup that day... not only did I pay more, as the standard cleaning wouldn't get done in time, but my shirts didn't make it in time for my event. I have been going to Rick's for years in other locations. The Cleaner in Georgetown is horrible. The store is dirty, the staff is very unqualified and they have ruined shirts of my husbands, and missing buttons.
