I had the worst experience dining out for lunch today at Rickyjo's.
I was shocked after 20 years of great service and food. The food was great.
However, our waitress Brandi was the most rude and condescending person I have
ever met in my life. We waited 20 minutes to get drinks at our table and that includes
waiting to be asked what we wanted. The place was not overly busy. I had to find her and
ask her when she had a moment if she could take our order because I have a little one with me. I was polite asking her but she clearly took offence to what I asked. She served us food and she never came back to ask us how it was, or if we needed anything. We had to ask her to come over when we needed hot sauce. Then when we were finished I said, "excuse me". She cut me off and told me she was getting our bill and that she has other guests to serve. Then I told her I understood as I was a waitress. Then she seemed bothered by me saying that! Brandi then said, "I have been a waitress for 30 years" (with pure attitude) then walked away. My friend and I just looked at each other in disbelief. The lady that seats guests to their tables and another family at a both could not believe how Brandi spoke to me!! They both commented on how rudely I was treated. They saw the whole thing happen.The manager refused to come speak to me when I requested to speak to him/her. Then on our way out, I filled out a comment card and my friend read it. Brandi spoke up from the tables behind us and said, "Go a head and fill out the comment card the cameras showed it only took 8 minutes to get your drink" (earlier I had made a diplomatic complaint to the bar tender that drinks took 20 minutes and we have been waiting a while for our food). She was very nice and apologized and I said, "its ok" and I commented that we were a little disappointed in the service. I handed my daughter to my friend and asked her to put her in the car. Then I turned around and said to Brandi, "You are the rudest waitress I have ever had" She said something to me but I was so upset I can not recall but it was nothing nice.
I then asked to speak to the manager again for a second time. I felt so violated and so offended I needed to let a manager know! I just could not believe how this lady was treating me. It was so terrible. THE MANAGER REFUSED TO SPEAK TO ME AGAIN!!!
I have never made a complaint about any service on line before until today. I assure you the food is great, it always has been. Our server was, bold, rude and condescending to the point I came home so upset!!!!! I never let things get the best of me but this was just a terrible experience that upset us, and others that witnessed this whole ordeal around us. What kind of manager refuses to speak to a upset customer????? Terrible business ethics.
Part of my job is to refer guests to dining places. I will never send anybody back to this restaurant due to the fact that the Manager refused to speak to me twice. The service was bad, but I would have been willing to go back and send business their way had a Manager properly taken care of this matter. Basically, Brandi was allowed to get away with treating me horrible and with a lot of bad attitude on top of it all. read more
