Ordered thru doordash several times plus and have 5 starred across the board... This time however I was so, so disappointed. For a change up we decided to get the turkey with stuffing burger. What we got was a note scrawled on the container they were out of the stuffing for it. We got a mediocre frozen turkey patty with gravy and bacon and a soggy awful mess. I'm calling them tomorrow to get a refund or a comp for next time because this was truly a disaster and just plain gross. The only thing any good were the sweet potatoes fries, I always order them and the best I've ever had from a restaurant. But tonight will be a pepto bismol night. The restaurant was good. We arrived around 8p on a Sunday and there was only four tables occupied. The water glasses were 2qt measuring cup pyrex glasses which I thought was interesting. I'm not exactly sure what the thought was behind using measuring cups for water cups. Sure, the glasses are heavy duty and good on the environment but not sure why else. The food was good. The burgers were pretty average but for the prices I'm not sure if it was worth it to be honest. There was enough fries on one tray to serve two people. Love this place every time we go through we stop here to eat. The hot sauce is amazing. I wish I could find the recipe or buy a jar. I guess they don't sell it. I tell you they would make tons of money if they did if anybody knows the recipe let me know but the place is very nice. The service is very good. Well--my husband and I fancied a little drive from Buffalo and figured Harvey's our usual burger flyby. But upon a further think we looked at Yelp (always a good idea) and decided on The Works. Oh. My. God. First impression was the waitress--if one could build a perfect waitress Melissa would be the prototype. Delightful, charming, beautiful and so helpful. Yes, she deserves the gush. Drinks decent, beer selection great but the burgers? New gold standard, the burgers all other burgers will fall short by comparison to. I had the Tragically Maple with cheddar instead of cheese curds. Devine! I would prefer slightly less done but the law is the law. Peppery arugula, bacon jam, garlic bacon mayo--bacon straws, hint of maple--I'm almost getting out the passport to return as I write this. Fries were awesome too! Everything just top notch. The space is cool, fun and funky. The music was spot on. The doors open to let in the summer breeze....perfection. My husband's burger was amazing too but after 30 years he can Yelp it himself! . As someone from Buffalo, we are certainly not lacking in delicious burgers. However, since the first time I tried The Works, I knew I needed to go back and experience it even more. For starters, the atmosphere is incredible. Lots of seating available and warmly lit (which is very important to some people). The staff are extremely friendly. As for the food/menu; incredible. The Works offers over 50 types of burger topping selections ranging from standard to unexpected, all delicious. Also, with any burger you get the option to choose the type of bun (including a gluten free roll option!) AND the type of "burger" - you gave the choice of beef, chicken, and even the Beyond Burger, making this a wonderful choice for people who don't eat meat or want to try something different. Well this update has been due for a very long time. Since my original review, the restaurant has made some changes for the better and I have been there since then and experienced the changes. A friend wanted to go to a burger joint so I brought him to The Works. Both of our burgers were absolutely perfect as well as the fries. A complete turn-around from before. What a change! I really love the Ottawa restaurants, and was glad to know that they have expanded and there was a location in St. Catharines. Last weekend I had a chance to finally check it out. I came here with a friend just after 3 pm and missed the lunch menu. No big deal, I knew I wanted the Sk8r boy - peanut butter, jack cheese and bacon. yummy! I added lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions, got the beef and stuck to white bread. As a side, I got steamed broccoli (the broccoli was steamed and had nothing on it). The burger was put together very well, and was the same size as I remembered it. It also tasted very awesome. Peanut butter goes surprisingly well with bacon, cheese, and a juicy beef patty. I like the works because the burger combinations are unique and flavorful. It is a good place to go with friends. There are so many things to try on the menu. For a burger, the prices are on the higher end, but they are large and quite filling. read more

The selection is what you would see at other Works restaurants. A TON of options for your burgers, including veggie and gluten free. My only big complaint is the price of beer. 7$ for a pint? Really? Burgers range from 12- 16$ and come with a side, but for me this place would be a special occasion once in a while type place. Our server was a nice girl, but unfortunately not very conscientious of her guests. The onion rings were a little overdone, as was my burger. I know that it is a province law to cook meat to a specific internal temperature, but this was just a wee bit too dry and overcooked. My dad, my niece and I had dinner here for Father's Day. My niece and I had a fantastic dinner. My dad, on the other hand, did not. After a few bites I asked for mayo for my fries and to moisten up the burger. How long should it take to get mayo? Long enough for my burger and fries to be close to cold at The Works. The waiter asked the kitchen for mayo then forgot to go get it. And lord knows he never got back to me for a refill of pop or to ask how the meal was. Finally when I seen him again he noticed my burger only having a few bites out of it along with a full plate of fries, and he then realized I asked for mayo, which he grabbed, but no apology. The food is amazing. I've tried a couple different burgers and never been disappointed, even the burger with peanut butter on it. However, the prices are definitely high for burgers and fries so we only go once in a while. The service is good, I've never been unhappy with my waiter/waitress and they always know what they are talking about despite there being at least 30 different burgers. The only thing, other than price, that leaves me less than happy is that it is hard to go here with a large group. I once had a group of 7 wanting to go and so called ahead to make a reservation. We were told they would get us in no problem... except when we arrived the place was packed and we were told there was an hour wait for us to get a table. Every time ive been here amazing. My first time i was amazed at how the food and pop was served. Thought the measuring cups of pop was neat and tye goodafellas is my fav chicken burger. Love that its a real chicken breast and not some breaded excuse called chicken. Tye fries are always great and i never leave after my meal hungry. Staff is pretty friendly and timely with bringing out orders not keeping guests waiting longer than necessary. Hoping to come back soon i miss your food. Only thing is i wish you had designated parking as parking is so hard to find around the area youre in! But doesnt take away my opinion of your great place. All the names of the burgers and descriptions are unique and they have clearly put time and effort into every detail in this place. They have $5 drinks all day as well. On our final night in Ontario, one of my rowers and I decided to check out this place for dinner. We were both craving protein after a long day of racing, and it sounded promising from everything on the website. We arrived and were able to be seated immediately, as the restaurant was about half full. There was great old school music playing and a garage door-style window that was open to let in the breeze. Our amazing server brought us large waters (in glass measuring cups!) and explained the menu in detail. If one could write Yelp reviews based on personality and service alone she would be my highest rated one, since I can't remember the last time I encountered such a professional, knowledgable, and legitimately hilarious server. (At the end of our meal when we asked if she could split the check, she carefully ripped it in half with a deadpan expression on her face! Of course we ended up with separate receipts.) We ordered and I chose a bunless burger with its suggested beer pairing from the extensive menu. The Works offers pretty much every combination of burger imaginable, and I appreciated how the paper menu was updated to match the current draft list rather than serving as a mindless dump of fifty burger topping varieties that may or may not still be current. You could choose a wide variety of sides and a few select upgrades, all of which were reasonably priced. I don't remember the name of mine, but it was a standard burger with BBQ sauce and bacon. My friend got one called The Sopranos (eggplant, pesto, and cheese) on an elk burger. Both of us enjoyed our meals immensely and left with plans to return again when we're in the area.
