I love me some greasy food but this place was sub par. Once we walked in we were greeted by the employees, they were sweet younger girls that were very helpful. I loved the license plates all over their walls but let's get into their food... We got a cheeseburger, a chicken burger and a sausage on a bun with a side of fries and a small drink and a large drink. Finished it all off with a deep fried Mars Bar. First off they put our food on napkins on your trays (huh?) - except for the fries. The sizes of the drinks are a little off. If you want a decent amount of drink go for the large!! The cheeseburger was nothing to write home about. The chicken burger was dry and small. The fries were decent they had an almost sweet potato taste to them and were really greasy. The sausage was good no problems with it at all. I'm a big deep fries Mars bar girl and this one is not one that I'd go out of my way for. They were previous frozen wrapped with something then thrown in the fryer. I probably won't return here for some greasy truck food again.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Asked for a bacon cheese burger and onion rings and buddy just place the onion rings in the paper bag with nothing else, my burger had no bacon, also the grease obviousily hasnt been changed in decades and the burger is just awful tasting. So bland and what the heck is this meat! Chef Ramsay would die of a heart attack My burger also had big chunks of bone in it.

MJ's is located on Lakeshore which is a major route into Niagara-on-the-Lake, so tons of tourists drive by this heavily traveled route. It's a standard burgers and fry shack that has the usual menu. Overall, quite a disappointment. Had a cheeseburger and onion rings. The onion rings were just OK, a bit skinny and over-fried. I'd say 5/10. The cheeseburger was just awful. I opted for the friend onions which were good, but the burger itself was a tasteless round over cooked ball (of beef?). It was like a sawdust ball. The bun was dry and either previously frozen or just plain stale and it broke apart and the entire burger fell apart. I didn't finish it as it was terrible. Clearly no care taken in food quality. Picnic tables outside were a nice touch, but it was sunny and only two of the 10 tables had shade. I won't return.

Silversmith was such a good choice for a brewery to visit in the Niagara wine region. I'd been…read morewanting to try poutine for quite a while, and though it was available when I lived near Detroit, I never trusted that I was close enough to Quebec for it to be good. I decided maybe Virgil was close enough to try it, and oh my goodness - I understood at once why poutine is so popular. If you also hail from a poutine-less area of the world, fear not - done well, it's a great dish. The beer was also excellent. I can see why The Black Lager is Canada's most award-winning Schwarzbier. There are some really good schwarzebiers in my city, and Silversmith's is right up there with them. I also have a Nut Brown Ale, and a small size of the Motueka, both of which I would get again. They know what they are doing with their food and drink. And the atmosphere is really good as well. The old-church-turned-brewery is beautiful. I'll let the pictures in other reviews do it justice. The service was good. It was relatively busy the night I was there, but the service was still quick enough and even a bit conversational - I recall one of the bartenders worked at Silversmith in the warmer months, and travels southeast Asia in the colder months, which is pretty cool. I would likely be a regular if I lived in the area.

What a cool place. There is local art on the walls, and the building is an old church I believe. My…read morewife got the Caesar salad and I had the smash burger. Everything was delicious. The burger had very thin pickles layered on it and that allowed for each bit to have the same flavor, rather than a few pickles in the middle. I got the flight of beers and enjoyed each one. The staff were all friendly and fun.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful. They have gorgeous dining rooms, lounges, private meeting rooms and a room on the top floor called "Club 77" with a fully stocked bar and billiard/snooker table. The building was built in the 1800s. A lot of the original hardwood is still there. Each room is beautifully decorated with a mix of antiques and modern art. My favorite room is the "Crystal Room" for dining. The chandeliers are breathtaking, especially when the sunlight from the window hits them. The general manager, Archie, could not possibly be nicer. He is so friendly and truly happy to see returning patrons. He is always willing to give a brief, but informative, tour of the building to our guests. He knows everything there is to know about the history of the club. The Club has several member events each year. My favorites are Lobster Night, Pasta Night, and the Wine Festival event. The food is always made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The wine and desserts are also phenomenal! Finally, the service is flawless. The servers are polite and personable. I would definitely recommend this club to anybody looking to join a professional, but down to earth country club. They have many reciprocal relationships with other clubs in other cities, including: NY, Toronto, Scotland and Beijing.

They also have the largest and most delicious wings in the city and just started making pizza a while ago which I love. They're making the pizza New York style too with American pepperonis (remember the ones that would curve up like a cup and house the grease like when we were kids?). In the winter I come here Sundays for breakfast with friends. It's a great menu and affordable. Get the peameal upgrade its so worth it! Great bar and they love their sports too! Wayne the new owner also has a travel company so they're offering sports trips for hockey, baseball and football to all sorts of amazing places! Did the blue jays bus trip it was a blast. Not a fan of this place, had come before quite a few time but won't be back! Beverages were also flat and gross! Just paid over $40 for stuff I couldn't drink or eat. Also was never offered the option of changing the nachos the server just said that sucks. Also girlfriend asked for just soda water which they didn't have.
