    Steak carpaccio and Calamari

This was our first time at Rick Erwin's, and I must say, the service was exemplary. Our server, Izzy, was delightful. I was thankful we were seated in a quieter section of the restaurant to celebrate my son's birthday. The cocktails were fabulous. Some of our food was delicious (the calamari, potatoes au gratin, and crabcakes). Other dishes would have greatly benefited from more flavor and/or seasonings (the brussels sprouts, creamed spinach, and the fillet, which was cooked perfectly, but needed salt!) Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.

Every time we come to Rick Erwin's we are treated amazing! Gunner and Sarah took such great care of our table and made some really great recommendations. I always appreciate the rotating menu, despite us being here a month prior, there were new dishes to try! Lovely ambiance with dim lighting. Always a good time !

We celebrated our son-in-love this past Saturday night and as always it was an amazing evening! Eric & his complete staff never disappoint! Amy is our gal, she has become like family. I know we would still enjoy our food but it's like coming home every time we dine here!! Thanks again for making our night so spectacular.....oh and the food was as great as always!!! Now build one in Athens so we can dine more frequently!!!

Steakhouse burger cut in half to share. It was ordered as medium. It's more medium well.

My first visit was nothing exciting. The place was dead like hardly anyone dining , yet it took forever to get anyone to serve us. We had to tag whomever to get refills, bread etc. After ordering our food was not edible. The shrimp though great size, was not batters correctly. The breading was literally soggy as you pick them up. The fries were like a homemade fry very good, hot, but mine were cold. The burger was more of a medium well, I ordered medium. This was my experience. I'll probably go back but I'll be sure to request a manager oversees my order.

This is more than a restaurant, it's an experience. The ambiance is incredible, the service is professional and knowledgeable, the food is phenomenal. The food here isn't cooked by line cooks, it's crafted and it shows from the first bite to the last.

Is there a dress code? I understand that it is a fine restaurant. Would it be horrible for a man to wear jeans here?

It's appears very fancy but there is no dress code. Husband wore dark jeans, button down and that was fine.

Service was great, the vibe was super nice overlooking the lake. And the food was delish. I had the steak and frites and it was delish. Other at the table were really happy with their meals. Our group of 8 was seated right inside the entrance of the restaurant and my back was to the lake side view. Therefore, I can only say I experienced a typical hotel bar restaurant vibe. Our server did a good job-even taking a minute to take a group photo for us. The brunch menu had a variety of choices. I chose the Renfrow Wings off of the Shareables Menu and a side salad. This consisted of 13 chicken wings so I had plenty of left overs. I ordered 1/2 teriyaki and 1/2 bbq. It was hard to distinguish between the two, but they were good. I need to go back and give this restaurant another try. This time I'll make sure to enjoy the view, maybe even sit outside on the patio if it's cool enough. I know this sounds strange, but I'm giving them a 4 star in anticipation of that lake view...

Ordered a tequila and pineapple over ice with lime and it was not shaken so I will ding god that. Ordered the seasame ahi with seaweed salad. The fish was amazing, cooked perfectly with multiple sauces. Seaweed salad and a fried rice. We used to own a restaurant and had a consultant who said "whatever you have on the menu should be memorable" well the fried rice was weird so that was not memorable. Ordered the crepe, with ice cream, hot fudge, raspberries and whipped cream. The crepes were a bit thick but everything else was good. Ambiance 4 Food-4 Pricing ok

We decided to eat here for our anniversary dinner! Wanted to try it because of the reputation and…read morethe longevity. Neat restaurant with a retro design. Server, Bryson, was very personable and helpful (e.g. let us know that the mashed potatoes were instant and not good). Chicken Picatta with asparagus was good. Prime Rib was good, not great, and not worth $48. We have worked in the restaurant industry for 25 years and are therefore pretty observant and experienced in what makes for a positive dining experience. P&B's is definitely missing the mark in a few areas. In our experience, the signs we saw point to older owners who are tired of the business and/or not as involved in daily operations as they were/should be. They are also "cost conscious" and value profit over diner's experience. We observed these things during our dining experience: 1) NO ice in the water glasses. Cost cutting? Or the ice maker needs repair? 2) No ice wouldn't have been too bad if the ac was set below 76. High humidity and higher temp made for a less than comfortable dining experience. 3) Ribeye steak was sliced incorrectly with one end about 1/4" thick and the other about 7/16 thick. This resulted in a well done end and a medium end, instead of a consistent medium rare steak. Flavor/Seasoning was minimal. Portion was small too, probably 8-9 ounce, with lots of fat cap. Grilled onions and mushrooms were overcooked and had little flavor. This was a $20 steak at best: certainly not a $40 steak. 4) Baked potatoes and veg came out warm, not hot, and were cold before we finished eating. This place is "resting on its laurels" and the owners are cutting costs and trying to make as much they can before they are forced to close or find someone who is willing to buy them out. While I am sure it had its day, its day is gone and it is in need of new menu and new management. 3 people. 2 beers. 3 meals. $145 plus tip. We have had far superior meals at the nearby Long Horn Steakhouse for about 1/2 the price. We would not recommend this location, unless it is sentimental to you. There are better restaurants in the area who actually care about their customers and the dining experience.
