Have never been a fan of ipa's, porters, etc (really just a domestic fan) until I tried the brews at Richters. Their in house brews are so smooth and have no aftertaste . The Owners are always on site and are the nicest people you will find. They also have different food trucks every Friday night (great way to support other small businesses) which is another great reason to visit the brewery. I am sorry guys, I just have to refute the "fake news" that Mike S is spewing. First off, I know for a fact they were not open on Election night, the post you refer is when the owners were brewing for the Grand Opening in December 2016. I have been to this establishment many many times and have never seen the owners drunk, to say so is a blatant lie. Additionally, the so-called Facebook post that he supplies is taken out of context, it refers to them opening late on that date, stating sorry for the inconvenience but come drink your sadness away...get it...because they opened late. They have 13 selections on tap with 5 from Richter Aleworks and others from Huss, Historic, Borderlands, The Shop and Tombstone. Great people and great atmosphere. Food was great. Loved all the brews we sampled. Served by part of the Richter family who was knowledgeable about their brewing process and happy to advise on our selections. Liked the down to earth decor. Everything was clean and well presented. Will be back! read more

This is one of my favorite neighborhood spots! My fiancé and I stop in often for great beer, friendly service and excellent food. Every Friday there is a food truck which I love because the Richter's enjoy supporting other small businesses. The beer is constantly changing which means there is always something new to try. Stopped in last night to have a couple pints. Grabbed a couple seats at the bar and ordered and recieved our drinks and was pretty happy with the place up to this point. From then on though it went downhill. One employee wandered off to a table and put his head down to have a bit of a nap, the other employees gathered at the other end of the bar to chat and ignore their customers. After sitting with an empty glass for ten minutes the bartender broke from the chat and I was able to pay my tab, which was unfortunate because I had planned on having a few but since I didn't know when I'd have his attention again I figured I'd better pay up and move on while I could. The one bright spot was the one beer i had was pretty decent, not worth the shoddy service, but pretty good. read more

This is a tough place to figure out; to me it had an uncomfortable vibe. They are a brewery but only had two of their own beers (disappointing) both were fair, hopefully this will change in the future. The selection of beers from other breweries was descent but I can go to a sports bar and get those beers for a better price. One good thing was the service; I believe the individual who was behind the bar was the son of the owners, nice guy and very attentive. My advice, get food (other than food truck), more of your own beers and more TV's (I think there was only one). Will give this place another try in the future. read more

Located in a nice part of Peoria, this spot provides an always satisfying and diverse rotation of taps that is impossible to ignore if you love craft beer. Hefeweizen, IPA's, and sours are my favorite go to's here. When you want to watch the game but don't want to be somewhere super loud or wait long for service, this place comes in clutch. read more

I am giving this place 4 stars because its new and has tremendous potential and i love seeing non-chains in this part of town (it is so desperately needed). The staff is friendly and you really feel like you are just hanging out in someone's home. The beers were tasty and while they do not currently serve food, they had a food truck camped outside for those who need a bite with their brews. Would definitely come back, would like to see more options for food but I am sure that they are getting there. We were making our own beer tour and we made this one of the stops and it was a great choice. The atmosphere is eh but what made up for it were the Owner and Erica the, beerista(she also works at Starbucks) and the beer. They have 2 of their own on tap and then lots of other local different stuff. They have a small menu of food, we had some garlic cheese bread bites to munch on and it was tasty. They have lots of different seating from smaller tables to big long ones and a huge bar, which was nice. Erica and Mrs.R(I didn't get her name or I could have but I had had a few drinks) were awesome! They were super personable and funny which makes you want to go back somewhere. If you like places where you can kick back, grab a good beer, and chill...this place is perfect. We stopped in for a single beer to try the brewery out and ended up sitting there for hours, left to have dinner, and then came back. We got to meet the owners and their son. Our service was great and what fun people! We will definitely be back...hopefully with an entourage of friends so they can enjoy a good brew too! read more

Beer: 4 stars. Great diverse selection. Can move to 5 stars once they release a couple more of their own brews. From what they said, should be 2 more in the near future. Atmosphere: 3 stars. Cool building/decorations/etc. Change the music (not my opinion - what I heard from the tables around me). Service: 1 star. Have a story/history. Teach that story/history to your employees. Get out of your chair and interact with guests. Some hospitality training/business management training, etc. would be beneficial. I shouldn't act like I know their background. Maybe they have that background and for some other reason did not display it. What I do know is that there were 14-16 guests in at the time I visited (Saturday night from 5-6 o'clock), and I could have made their experience much better - in turn making this establishment much more money. So, why 3 stars when my average comes to 2? All they need are some very small changes (2 more beers, different music, and to get out of their seats to turn this into a 5 star establishment. I'm so happy they opened a spot in the Peoria area. It was needed. I wish them nothing but success and hope they take my feedback and use it to improve. read more

This place had potential but I had wouldn't go above 3 stars at the present. They only had three tap handles of their own beer. And they were all IPA's. Ten guest beers on tap, most in the IPA family. It's obvious where the brewers taste lies but the is a broader beer world out there. Very limited food menu but they have a food truck that's stops. Might try again in the future if their website shows more of their own beer. read more

Disappointing to say the least! Awkward & uncomfortable environment. The owners sat at the end of the bar stuffing their faces with food & beer & didn't take their eyes off of their phones/computer the entire 2 hours we were there. Trying out a new local brewery. I thought I'd give them a couple of months to settle in before I tried it out. It has been here for at least a couple of months, since I saw the PR in AZ Republic. Still no local brewing (only other's beer/"joint venture" brews) or food (except what appears to be par baked pizza & food truck on Saturdays), big plans but it sounds like planning & execution are lacking thus far. Apparently issues with City permitting, etc. They definitely at least need some snack type food and at least one brew that is truly their own. Bartender was friendly but definitely nothing special given lack of home brews and food. They will need to re-launch with some significant marketing push once they are brewing and have some food, or they won't make it, imho. We shall see. Meanwhile I'll be heading back to PAB, Char Pizza or even Fry's Marketplace for my local beer and growler fills. read more
