He quoted me a reasonable price and could accommodate me soon. Sam came to do the job. We put new batteries in the timer. But it didn't seem to be working properly. Sam said that not only was it not working properly, but that it wasn't an outdoor clock. Said we should replace it. Of course I was stressed at something not working and really stressed at the thought of what it would cost to replace. Sam looked at a price list from his supplier and said that a clock for 2 zones was only $125. Ok, not terrible. But how many hundreds and hundreds was the installation going to cost? He said "I came to get your system going for the season. I have to do whatever it takes to do that. There's no extra fee for that." I thought that I couldn't passably be hearing correctly. No extra cost? He and his assistant went and got the new timer and came back. But he said he wanted to mount it inside rather than where the old one was, outside my house. He didn't have a drill long enough to go through the wall to run the wire from the sprinkler system to the timer. So, came back after the weekend and did it. I did have to pay for the new timer and another small part that had burned out. But as far as labor, not a penny more than the original price to turn on the system! That is unheard-of these days! I was quoted a price of $275 to replace the wax seal on a leaking toilet bowl. When JD arrived, he removed the toilet bowl and replaced the wax seal. Since the toilet bowl still leaked he only charged us $100 and said that his partner would contact us because this was a more complex plumbing problem that he was not qualified to deal with and that such a problem could run into the thousands of dollars. When we did not hear from the partner within two days, my husband (who is not a plumber) watched some YouTube videos on how to do this. He removed the toilet bowl, and found that no preparatory work was done before replacing the seal. Every video that he watched said that it was extremely necessary to remove all of the old wax and any other debris. Additionally, the new wax seal required two longer bolts which he should've had on his truck and should have used. After purchasing the necessary products (wax seal and bolts) which cost less than $10, he cleaned out all the old wax and other debris, and then replaced the toilet bowl which is now no longer leaking.

Replace the first floor baseboard with high output baseboard. Peter measured the job up and returned with Christian another day to complete the work. I admit I was impressed with the concern that was paid to how each peice was installed. A level and tape measure was used on each peice of baseboard to insure that when completed the entire run was the same height and on the same plain. Each cover was trimmed if needed so it fit together properly. When they were done they cleaned up after themselves and even helped me put my things back, which they didn't have to do. I could say I'm happy with the work they did and leave it there. The truth is I'm really impressed with the work did, it came out more beautiful than I hoped. They showed more attention to detail than they had to, and the price was very competitive. Its been 7 years and Pete is still doing really prideful work.
