Scam stay way, called Sam's Pull-A-Part Used Auto Parts before driving there specifically to make…read moresure they had the vehicle I was looking for. They told me it was there and even directed me to where it was located. I spent about 30 minutes searching for it, went back and asked them again, and they insisted it was there. I searched again and eventually found out the vehicle had apparently already been scrapped. They told me their inventory system isn't kept up to date and that they've been doing business this way for 50 years. I also paid the $2 entrance fee, and even after explaining what happened, they refused to refund it. The $2 isn't the issue, it's the principle. If you call ahead and are told a specific vehicle is there, you should be able to rely on that information, I even explained having the vehicle here does not guarantee the part I needed and I realize that. Be aware that their online inventory may not reflect what is actually on the property... in a word, unethical wasn't helpful that they kept blaming the owner.

He knew what was going on with our car's turbo, so he referred us to his friend's place, Anything Automotive. He said Jeff, Adam or Mark would be able to help fix our turbo. They were so awesome. We spoke with Mark. He checked out our car, got the parts ordered and fixed it in less than a week for $650. FIRESTONE had it for over a month and quoted us 2500. When we went to Dave's Auto Machine, he said he just had a customer who came from Firestone with a similar issue (they are less than a mile from each other). Hope this helps.

I had told them the day before that I would be in a hurry and they said it would take a few hours. I was waiting across the street in McDonalds and I went back to check a few hours later. They had not noted the rush job and hadn't started my car yet. I explained that I needed the car to pick up my daughter in a few hours. They were very apologetic and, more importantly, they put 3 people on the job to get it done in 1/3 the normal time. On top of that, their estimate of the cost of the parts was too high. Some mechanics might look at that as a nice extra profit. But not only did they quote me a lower price than everyone except Jiffy Lube, with the savings from the part being a little cheaper than expected, they actually beat Jiffy Lube's price. I had a mechanic I used for several years that recently closed. Now I think I've found my new regular mechanic. I can't comment on the quality of the work specifically.
