With no other customers in the store, I see 1 guy to my right reading a parts book behind the counter. He never looked up even after I pushed the product on the counter to make noise. The 2nd guy who was elderly came up the stairs directly from the back carrying & stocking jugs of something saw me then avoided any eye contact. After not being acknowledged for minutes of patiently waiting, I announced, "Does anyone work here?." The elderly man on his second pass by the counter, again avoiding eye contact, sarcastically replies, "No. No one works here" I replied, "OK. Good-bye". Not a response out of either. This is a great place for a thief, since no one looks up, acknowledges you as you enter or exit. They are totally unaware of their surroundings & incapable of multitasking. They show a total lack of wanting to do business with anyone. Free 'sarcasm' to boot. I would rate this on the scale in the "NEGATIVE" if it allowed me. I go to the store, am told that the online discount can't be applied in store. Additionally, the battery I want is not in stock, can be ordered in a few days, assuming that I can start my car and come back in a few days. A battery at the next level up is out of stock as well, and the most inexpensive battery for my that can be installed immediately is twice the price that I expected to pay. This place takes advantage of those in a desperate spot. Never again for me.

An error made by the employee but "Eddy" insists on blaming me instead, I had to walk out of the store without my other purchases because of how rude he was. I'm taking my business to O'Rielly Auto parts in Billerica for now on, and telling everyone I know to do the same (they had the correct hose anyways!!). Eddy said my business at Advance Auto Parts means nothing, I guess over 10 years of seeking out Advance Auto Parts stores before any others means nothing, well good riddance.

They told me it was there and even directed me to where it was located. I spent about 30 minutes searching for it, went back and asked them again, and they insisted it was there. I searched again and eventually found out the vehicle had apparently already been scrapped. They told me their inventory system isn't kept up to date and that they've been doing business this way for 50 years. I also paid the $2 entrance fee, and even after explaining what happened, they refused to refund it. The $2 isn't the issue, it's the principle. If you call ahead and are told a specific vehicle is there, you should be able to rely on that information, I even explained having the vehicle here does not guarantee the part I needed and I realize that. Be aware that their online inventory may not reflect what is actually on the property... in a word, unethical wasn't helpful that they kept blaming the owner.
