He diagnosed the problem after a leak check, checked their history on the heat pump, called the office for more info, and I was told I needed refrigerant and a new compressor. The company called the manufacturer and because it wasn't that old the compressor was provided to me at no cost, and also a discount on the refrigerant. The new part arrived a few days later, Tim showed up timely and obviously knew what he was doing. He installed things, double checked my thermostat, answered my questions and provided a written description of his work. When I explained that the system was still not working and the person responsible for paying the bills was understandably upset, the woman who answered responded by saying, " That doesn't matter to me." I found this response dismissive and completely inappropriate, particularly given the amount of money we have spent with your company and the urgency of the heating issue. As a result of both the unresoved issues and this interaction, we will not be using Mill Creek again, nor recommending your services to others.

Both inspected my system and said it would not last much longer but that I use the existing duo until they died. Santiam quote was slightly higher of the two. After more than a year in fear of the system failing during a cold snap or a heat wave I decided to get it replaced. Based on my son's recommendation I hired SHSM. They were great to work with! They came when scheduled, they were friendly and respectful, and they were extremely careful not to make a mess. In fact the area was cleaner when they finished than when they started. The new system works like a charm. When there was a small problem they responded immediately and corrected the problem. I was told by a friend that J&S was great. I had them come and install a new furnace, and A/C unit…read more(whole new HVAC system) and they were great worked quick and efficient had the system up and operational in no time. Moving forward one year, called because the new A/C unit was freezing over. Paid them to come out and what was the problem? Low refrigerant. How is this it is a new system I asked. "Sometimes it happens" was the response I got and I was told that everything looked fine with the system and I was reassured that it would work moving forward. Paid them $450 in total to refill the refrigerant. Going forward 3 months A/C stopped working again, unit completely frozen over again! Called back for assistance and they were occupied and unable to assist me. So I called around and had Impact heating and cooling come out to take a look at the A/C unit. Sure enough low refrigerant again! I ended up paying Impact an additional $535. So $985 in a three month span because of low refrigerant. Impact told me that the refill valve on the A/C unit was leaking and he let me know that he put in some "stop leak" in the unit that should fix the problem. Guess what??? It has not. I have reached out on a number of occasions at this point to J&S and I get no response. I wish them well but not going with them anymore and I would not recommend them.
