Luckily a different electrician flagged this. Joao did it the wrong way for almost the entire job. I am hiring a real electrician now to fix the mess Joao has created (apart from him running away with several thousand dollars that I gave him. A court case is coming up soon.) Guys, save yourself from this novice who has no ethics, no capability and no knowledge and who lies thru his teeth about getting the job done or giving back some money. He did not return a single dollar back. This was a restaurant renovation project and once I gave him the 40% down payment, he simply vanished. I realize my money is totally gone after struggling with him for many months to make him do the work. Will pursue this in court next. DO NOT HIRE Joao. He also goes by the name John. He is a SMOOTH talker and will run off with your money. Be careful and save yourself the trouble and hire a real professional.

Very disappointed with my experience. I scheduled a knob-and-tube wiring assessment and was…read morerequired to pay the fee in advance before anyone even came to my home. During the visit, the technician spent very little time explaining the condition of my wiring or how much knob-and-tube wiring was actually present. I left with more questions than answers and didn't receive the detailed assessment I was expecting. Instead, the conversation quickly shifted toward recommending expensive electrical work without first providing a clear explanation of the inspection findings. Considering the upfront fee, I don't feel the assessment provided good value. I expected a thorough evaluation, a detailed explanation of the results, and enough information to make an informed decision. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Finally, the power failed utterly to the problem circuits. Markarian sent Brandon Hill over in 15 minutes -- yes, FIFTEEN. He listened carefully to our description, gave his opinion that it was a utility problem, but that he would test for other possibilities first. After testing some of the circuits, he gave his hypothesis that we were having a phase problem: one of the two lines into the house was not supplying enough voltage. He tested the meter outside, showed us the low voltage on one line, and explained how the lines feed the circuits in a pattern that would cause the unpredictable outages. He also took pictures. He stood by while we called Eversource to make sure that we could answer all their questions. From initial call to final diagnosis, everyone at Markarian was efficient, courteous, and helpful. Brandon was friendly, professional, and easy to talk to and understand. I would recommend Markarian without hesitation.
