Clean & professional environment within the barbershop, but daaaaaaaaang! $28 for a haircut before tip? I don't recall paying that much to Moe, but geeeeeeez. Those are salon prices. I understand the convenience of being super close to Seatac International Airport, yet there are other things that you have to be wary of. First, parking here is almost non-existent. The barbershop is in a shared space with a cell phone business, and that owner gets a bit snippy of you park in his parking area. Where else do you park? I usually park across the street, and walk. The area close to Seatac (Tukwila) has very interesting clientele, so don't be alarmed. They are harmless. However, be mindful of your surroundings if you arrive during the dusk hours. The shop has an ATM, yet accepts plastic. Unfortunately, they charge a 5% fee to use their ccard machine. I forgot how much the ATM fees are- more than likely $2.50 or $3.00 per transaction. The barbers here are great conversation, yet expensive. Otherwise, a pretty decent stop if you want a quality cut at premium pricing.

But I booked with Dang after checking out the site at The Kingdom and man... smashed my expectations. I've got some length on top - kind of a pushed-back look, but it was sloppy. Not refined or even shaped right to be frank. I showed him a pic of what I was hoping for, which was a tricky long length to mid/ short sides that blended with a low taper fade in the back without it looking choppy or disconnected. Dang absolutely nailed it. The fade was super clean, the lines were sharp, and the way he blended everything together just felt super intentional and tight. If you've got a mid-to-long length style and want someone who knows how to shape you right - Dang's your guy. You can tell he's not just going through the motions - he ACTUALLY cares about getting it right and making sure you're walking out of there looking fresh. He's the kind of barber that gives you that quiet confidence, like you know you're walking out looking your best. If you were missing that feeling like I've been, highly recommend the experience.

The quality haircut I got from Slim with attention to the little details left me feeling confident I had found a new spot and the several visits I have made since then confirm it. I get my hair cut and cleaned up every 3 weeks and have with Slim for the last year and half. I get to leave feeling fresh and looking good...and I don't have to explain what I'm looking for every time I go which is always a plus. Consistency + Quality are a winning combo in my book. I love being able to schedule in the Vagaro App as well. The location of Slims shop is actually not all that convenient for my day to day schedule most of the time. The quality cut is worth going a bit out of my way though and having the ability to schedule in my haircut with a few quick taps on my phone at a time that works for me is phenomenal. Not to mention the fact that he does a good job managing his time and prioritizing appointments over walk ins. Nothing worse than having an appointment somewhere and feeling like it was pointless to make it when you show up and see you're still 4th in line. All that aside, I have seen the cuts coming from the other barbers at this location too and they all look good to me.
