Great care, just got cataract surgery. Doing well. All caregivers were great!…read more Just have to complain about billing: I got the most convoluted bill in the mail and after calling was told it's $10 less than stated. I'm not upset about that, for sure, just the diffuculty of understanding this mess!

I am not sure which is more prominent: The Chandler office is extremely incompetent and poorly…read moretrained or their office cheats you out of money. I had a 8:30 AM appointment. I sat while not called back for a early routine exam for 40 minutes and only seen after I complained twice. A series of examples of poorly trained staff. I first brought the kiosk antiseptic gel bottle to the front staff because it was empty. She said nothing but kept pumping it even though obviously empty. No "thanks." I went to another front desk after 20 minutes late and was reassured I "it would be just a few minutes: no apology for their tardiness! Twenty minutes later I went back again and asked to speak to manager as still no one notified me or apologized for the clinic running late wasting my time. Remember I was probably the 2nd or 3rd appt of the morning yet there was 40 min late. Three of the 4 staff then brought me to the stages of exam did not even introduce themselves. Another situation explains how they cheat you out of your money. When I made the appointment the scheduler on the phone did clearly explain their ridiculous policy. They will do the exam but if I want the written Rx to get glasses that would be $60. Yes! $60 to print out one page. If I did not want to pay $60 I could schedule another appointment on another day and get the exam (again) and then after copay get the eyeglass Rx so I could take it elsewhere. Now the problem was 7 months ago, my wife, on the same health plan, was not told about this double appointment option so she was charged $60 for the her eye Rx. I later spoke to the billing office who was clueless about this double visit issue. I asked to have the billing manager return a call and the manager never called me. Further incompetence was they printed my Rx my first visit (seeing how frustrated I was waiting so long). I had a second appointment set up for the Rx but I cancelled the second appointment on the phone as I already had the Rx printed. But consistently with how untrained and incompetent the office is 5 days later I received a text threatening a $25 fee if I didn't show up for the appointment I already cancelled on the phone. In 70 years I was never told I can't get an eyeglass Rx when seeing an optometrist for the yearly exam. FIND A HONEST AND COMPETENT EYE DOCTOR ELSEWHERE!
