Delicious for over 25 years of ordering here. We watched our kids grow up theirs too!

I was a little skeptical of trying this place after reading some of the old reviews. I ordered the orange chicken dinner. I will say this orange chicken was fantastic. Probably some of the best orange chicken I've ever had. It also came with rice and an egg roll, which were both good. I ordered a 6 pack of crab Rangoon, which I liked a lot. My fiancé had the sweet and sour chicken dinner, he did like his, but he said he preferred my orange chicken. The sauce on his chicken was like a red color, it was a little weird. read more

The delivery service is lightning quick. The food is fresh, hot, and delicious! I'm really curious to read the lesser reviews because we have been very satisfied with this restaurant for over 10 year! read more

Chinese fast food... and I mean fast. Whether it's carry out or delivery their services always one of the quickest. It's nothing fancy. It's gonna come in or Styrofoam with plasticware. There are no seats. But it is consistent. Consistently tasty takeout. The reason I give them five stars is because they are happy to work with special request and special diets. read more

I've used this place a couple of times monthly for ten years and it has declined the food and quality are hit and miss. I almost stopped patronizing them this year and rarely ordered because they close @ 9:30 P.M. On 9-6-24 I ordered and the food was badly scorched the owner's son was working wearing a dirty greasy white undershirt. He placed the order by phone and never asked for a name upon pick up. I had to reiterate the order and received it without a bag and the soda can was greasy from handling. They don't greet and thank customers either. I'm done! read more

The fried rice doesn't have any flavor! No egg just soy sauce! It is small hard rice. None of the dishes we tried had much sauce. General Taos & sesame chicken. Broccoli was white!! Egg foo young gravy very dark too soy based. They charge extra for EVERYTHING . read more

I got deathly sick after eating the Mongolian beef. I ordered it on the Feb. 18th 2025. I'm never eating here again.

Very good and never disappointed! Very nice, clean, timely, and warm every time I come back home to visit. The food is phenomenal and would never compare it to the rest! RICE GARDEN IS THE BEST! read more

There was an older middle aged woman who took my order. She was rude and very inpatient while taking my order. After taking my order, she said something in her native language as she walked away from the register. She definitely lacked customer service skills. Some people need to learn to have patience when working with the public. You never know, what other people's are going through. That was my first and last time ordering anything else from their restaurant. read more

Food is great. The service is always fast and pleasant. Multiple delicious offerings o the extensive menu, spicy and mild.

The food here is good and inexpensive. They give you plenty to eat! This is my favorite local restaurant.

Good for a quick takeout if you want some Chinese food right away. Plastic everywhere.

I love Chinese fried rice. So I was very disappointed with a place called Rice Garden using old rice. Old rice is defined as yesterday or 3 hours old. I have eaten my share of fried rice from many different cities and states. This is one of the poorest quality I have tasted. The potential to be good is there but the attitude is not. I hope this place can step up its cooking game to earn three or four stars. Pro: Price Con: Quality read more

I had stopped ordering from here several years ago after finding copper in my food, like the scrubbers they use to clean the woks. A friend said they had gotten better, so decided to give them another shot. Big mistake! While I didn't find any foreign objects, I didn't find any flavor or quality either. The fried rice was garbage, literally rice and bean sprouts fried in soy sauce, nothing else. The governor's chicken was dry and tasted like some popcorn chicken you'd buy in the frozen section covered in some horrible sauce. After a few bites I just threw it out, which is probably a good thing because I got cramps and other stomach issues shortly thereafter. The pot stickers were okay, but too doughy, which is the only thing that got them a second star. Never again! read more

They deliver! Enough said. Finding a place that delivers in the South Suburban area is like hitting the lottery! Whoo Hooo! The food is pretty darn good (standard chinese carryout menu ) and the delivery is super fast. Seriously, I hang up and walk down the stairs and there they are. Try the sweet doughnuts and the chicken fried rice... read more

At one time I was a frequent visitor to Rice Garden and was familiar with the family that owned it, so I was surprised that I didn't recognize any of the faces on my last visit. When I inquired I was told that the business has been under new ownership for the past two years. My first impression of the shrimp egg foo yung was that it was undercooked because it lacked the slightly browned exterior that I'm accustomed to. Unfortunately, it didn't taste any better than it looked. It wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything that I would order again from them. However, I'm not one to waste food so I decided to make the most of it. What a mistake that was... less than an hour later I had severe stomach cramps and spent over half an hour in the bathroom. I had some ginger ale and fell asleep. Next morning, it was the same thing. I would NEVER EVER EVER eat there again. As a matter of fact, I wasn't even comfortable feeding the leftovers to my dog. read more

I like the food here. It was easy to call in a late order & we got prompt service over the phone. Everything we got tasted good and compared to other Chinese takeout places the price was fair. I'd get them again. read more

This review is partially influenced by my kids. ... My kids love this place. The kids love the orange chicken and the fried rice. Me? Not so much. In my opinion, the food is bland. The fried rice is especially lacking flavor and seasoning. They give you so much of it, too! So whenever the kids request Rice Garden, I order from somewhere else. The bonus is they deliver and they are pretty fast! read more

This may be the worst Chinese we've ever had! Our usual take out joint was closed due to the holiday, so we decided on Rice Garden instead. What a MISTAKE! Our food was terrible! The only thing edible were the egg rolls. The hot and sour soup was completely flavorless, the chicken chow mein had very little chicken in it, don't get me started on the Egg Foo Young.... Do yourselves and your wallet a favor, and skip this one!! read more

Well, I think it's hit or miss with them. Sometimes the food is pretty good, other times you have to wonder if they've changed owners? Can't see myself ordering again ( although i often say that and I've ordered again :) LOL!). read more

I really like how fast they are in getting your food to you. Plus, I've never had any problems from them when I ordered. I've always enjoyed their D2 special. If you're in need of some pretty good Chinese food for a low cost then I recommend them. read more

Pre COVID-19 the food was pretty good. But since then the quality has suffered. And customer service is horrible!!!

It's cheap american-chinese. Think combo plates and sweet and sour chicken. Great for lunch at the office or feeding the kids. I've had their food on several occassions, while I have never been blown away, I've never been disappointed either. If you're looking for a cheap lunch combo, this is your place. read more

I've been twice the food is prepared extremely quick but has made me sick both times eat at your own risk.

I am a very calm person and can count on my hand the amount of times that i speak about the bad when i experience less than perfect service. The way that i was spoken to on the phone when i called to place an order for delivery is obsurd. I understand there may be a language barrier but the way the woman working the phone spoke to me was ridiculous. I will not be ordering from here going forward and will make sure that as much as i can to influence those around me to do the same. At the end of the day, you provide a service and that is fast food, but you cant speak to customers anyway and expect them to sit back and accept it. To those reading this, please take your business to a company that appreciates it. read more

I recently ordered from Rice garden at 11:30. My family and I ordered two shrimp fried rice and 4eggs. Inside one of the rices I found a bug. I called and took a picture the lady was very rude and refuse to give me my money back. I will be reporting this place to the health department in the Am. read more

I ordered from Rice Garden last night.....They Deliver!!!!!!!!! Not too many restaurants in the South Suburbs deliver and if they do the delivery charge is 3-5 dollars, Rice Garden's delivery charge is $1.95. The prices are very reasonable, I spent $24 on a large Shrimp Friend Rice, Orange Sesame Chicken (regular), Three Egg Rolls, and a regular size Egg Foo Young. The price was definitely worth it, the food was hot and delicious and it didn't take long for them to deliver. I have already recommend Rice Garden to a few friends and I couldn't wait to put my review on Yelp because I enjoyed my meal so much. And the staff there was very polite and patient over the phone. read more

Was in the area and randomly wanted to try...Not good. Ordered Governor's Chicken lunch special, L17. There was too much sauce on chicken, fried rice was tasteless, the only thing decent was the egg roll. I had to throw the meal out, waste of money and time. read more

I wanna cry!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered last time RIGHT before I moved last year in July... So I moved back and went to try to order some of my last order... only to find they JUMPED the prices on the fried rice, orange chicken AND General Tao's chicken... made me wanna cry... I didn't put in my order because it would have cost too much so we went to Panda Express instead :( read more

Ever since Golden Buddha closed (i could walk there in under 60 seconds), we have been getting our Chinese from Rice Garden. I can't recall ever getting anything that I wouldn't order again. I love that they deliver and they are super fast! The food is plentiful and we always have lovely leftovers! I have not experienced the egg roll "grease stick" as one other reviewer called it. I get an egg roll every time and they are always crispy and good. Orange Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice and the BBQ Pork Appetizer are our favorites! Other guests have had some of the shrimp and beef dishes and have been pleased. I recommend you give it a try~~~ read more
