First time eating here, and was not disappointed! Service was good , a bit slow, however to be fair, they were BUSY! Nevertheless, service was good. The ambience was good, as a busy restaurant should be. Very satisfied with the experienced. Come support your local food chains spots. read more

Rice Box - First part of the menu. - Chinese Near Me - Clarksville, Tennessee

It's edible but nothing to return to. The wonton soup was very bland. Ordered online and still had to wait at the restaurant for my order.

The food from appetizers to the entree are absolutely amazing. The waiters provide such amazing service. The ambiance is amazing little Asian them restaurant. for sure will return. read more

We ordered take out. Service was fast, and the food was very good. It seems like a very nice to dine-in, we will have to try that next time.

Had a take order, all but 1 item was sitting arlt the registers. Had to wait over 20 mins for the 1 remaining item. Sushi.. so thats what everyone loves after dropping $80.. is having cold food by the time you make it home. This is the second horrible experience at this place. Will not be back. read more

Food is ok, but if you want your order in a reasonable amount of time order the night before because this place is SUPER slow!

3.5 Stars (rounds to 4) A sushi restaurant radiating country music in Cumberland Heights Clarksville has an array of interesting sushi restaurants. This one is humming with country music. Think of a little and cute Asian chic with a country twang...that would be Rice Box. The sushi rolls were great to so so. Customer service was nice but not on point. The bathrooms were clean. So, I am torn a little. I loved the small, quiet, and cozy ambience. The server was nice but her service was slow or just not there. The sushi rolls were great to so so. The country music softly blaring in the restaurant was funny but cute. I only liked my spicy crab roll. Prices were good. Soup, salad, and 3 sushi rolls for $14.99. The hot and sour soup there was my favorite. I am use to only getting miso or clear soup, but the hot and sour soup was an option. I was quietly filled with joy to eat this soup again. It is spicy, warming, and revitalizing to the soul. read more

We frequently get takeout from The Rice Box. The portions are generous. The Moo Goo Gai Pan is some of the best I've had. We also love their ginger dressing for the salad - it is creamier than we have had before. The staff is personable and when we have eaten in - the service was great read more

Rice Box is a great place to order dinner ahead of time and swing by to pick it up. The sushi that I get is always fresh and tasty. All of the food is delicious that we've gotten. The only downside is that it takes the staff awhile to prepare the food and even when you order ahead you're often having to wait awhile when you get there at the time that they said. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated and homey but due to the long wait to get the food I would not recommend eating inside. read more

Haven't had a problem with anything I've ordered from there for last 3 years. Everybody makes fried rice differently & I c that as more of a personal preference bc I am picky, but its better than A lot of restaurants so I won't complain. I always get a bento box- which is always good. It's only take out right now since the pandemic, but the service is always good too. read more

Nothing much more to say. We found steel wool in our hibachi noodles. Won't be coming back.

I ordered sushi to go a couple days ago from here. I got the tuna roll and the Alaskan roll. Both were good. The sizes were fairly small. I'm not a fan of large sushi rolls because I do believe they are best in one bite, but these were some of the smallest I have received. 2 rolls took up less than half of a single container. The food was good though! It could have simply been one off. Service was fairly quick. The website to order food online was fairly easy. I do wish there was more descriptions on the website when ordering food. I do like that it asks your for special instructions if necessary multiple times along the way. Other online ordering sites and apps don't do that well. Biggest tip would be to check their Facebook page for updates. I have tried several times but they seemed to have been closed. Their Facebook page was the only page giving updates I would definitely order again or dine in once COVID-19 passes. Right now, I am at a 4 mainly for the size of the rolls and lack of details on the website such as hours of operations. read more

The service was okay went in for a carry out only took them 10 minutes but the rice was undercooked

Ight so my homie and i was hungry for some asian food and we see this place called "rice box" idk i liked the name or somethin like that. When we go into the place, little did we notice that there were christmas decorations. And its April... like bruh cmon now, minutes pass and we ordered our food. The crab rangoon was actually not bad but once my cautious ass bit into my "general tso chicken" i noticed that it definitely did not look like chicken. I dont know what it was to be clear in all honesty and it tasted kinda sus. I think imma go home and cook something myself lol read more

Tried this place as it is close to my home and we were just moving in and still had not unpacked enough to cook at home. we went in and place ordered for 3 people for take out. went shopping next door at food lion to get some microwavable items for the next few days. after getting our food home and giving everyone their food, I went to make a bowl of the egg drop soup (awful btw) when I went to put the crunchy things on it that come in a little bag I noticed ONE maggot (or little worm) on the bag! I was absolutely disgusted. threw everything out. read more

My husband and I order the love boat. The presentation of the food was excellent. Also the sushi was pretty good. I usually do not like raw sushi but this was good also had enough to bring home and re-cooked for lunch the next day. read more

Service is so slow!! Takes 10 minutes to get a drink, 10 more to order and another 10 to get soup/salad. Yum yum sauce is pink. Food is ok and a little pricier. 1 person got food before they even got their soup. Came back a second time thinking maybe it was just a bad day for them or short handed but same experience both times read more

Food was amazing, however I only recommend ordering carry-out. The service was terrible. I've never been to a place that a waitress has just blatantly stared at the empty glasses on a table. Two out of the three orders were wrong. She was not very friendly. Throughout our experience she stood behind the computer either staring at us or talking to a guy that was not a customer. We had to ask at least 3 times for something we needed, whether it was a drink or a sauce. The careless disinterest and disrespect has made me never want to dine-in there again. read more

Best sushi and Chinese food in Clarksville. Nicest people too. So fresh everything tastes like it just came from the farm. Love this place. Hibachi is the best!! read more

Our new favorite restaurant in the Clarksville area! Every single thing we ordered was phenomenal. Wonderful service, our waitress was so helpful, the atmosphere was truly lovely, we had no wait time, and the prices couldn't be beat. We highly recommend the orange chicken, the wonton soup, the fried potstickers, and the spring rolls! We will certainly be back! read more

Quite honestly the worst food and service I've had in a long time. Waitress knew nothing about the menu, staff had cleaning supplies open and next to sushi prep station, and so much more. Ordered wonton soup, wonton had literally one 1" shred of meat to fill. When asked, the owner said people order the wonton soup for the soup and not the wonton so why waste the meat. Manager was beyond rude and refused to address other issues with food. I've seen photos of splendidly presented food and quite honestly, I cannot imagine those dishes being served to just any customer off the street. Top off a horrible meal with being charged 3 times for my check. read more

Their food tastes great but they put so much sodium, my legs almost double in size from swelling. Can't eat there anymore, that much sodium is not healthy. read more

I used to frequent this establishment for take out pretty regularly when I lived here...came back for a visit and decided I needed my Rice Box fix. I ordered online and arrived about 20 minutes later. A server dressed in basically pajamas, came up to close out a customer's check...you would think she greeted me right? "Someone will be right with you." "Hello." Anything!!! Nothing. I finally rang the bell on the counter and when the take out clerk came out, I thought she greeted me, so I said, "hello, I have a pick up order." Turns out she just asked for my phone number because she repeated herself clearly irritated. The service was absolutely horrible. I have never felt so unwelcome before. As a customer who is walking in trying to spend $50 at your establishment, you should really learn how to make them feel like you actually want them there. Never going back! read more

This places is INSANELY EXPENSIVE compared to all the sushi places in Clarksville. I guess because they are the only place around the area to get this type of cuisine but I would rather drive the extra 20 minutes than pay what they are asking for. read more

Good food. Can sometimes be really slow when ordering food for pick up, but overall, Great!

Not very authentic... to many vegetables. Service is decent but mainly a to go order place. It's ok for a quick place to grab a different meal from time to time. read more

I really enjoyed this place. Walking in, I immediately forgot I was going into some default plaza joint just because we were hungry and it was convenient. The place is beautiful and well decorated not to mention spotless clean. I was disappointed they werent more busy on a Saturday afternoon! I ordered the hibachi steak and hot and sour soup. While not as spicy as we like, I could actually taste the hot and sour soup ingredients and the textures were those of fresh ingredients. The steak was cooked to perfection, a little pink left in the middle. Most hibachi places grill it to toughness. I was surprised for the price as well... only 9-10 bucks for some of the hibachi 2 and 3 meat combos. read more

Rice Box - This was one of the sushi dishes, I thought it was a stained glass plate, no, it is art made from sauce!! So beautiful! - Chinese Near Me - Clarksville, Tennessee

We live close so we eat here often. The food is good and the people are nice. Some of the breaded chicken menu items are more bread than chicken, but the hibachi grill items are fantastic. read more

Hidden gem! The interior is beautifully designed and very clean. I ordered cucumber rolls as an appetizer but, generally judge a Chinese restaurant based on their Geneal Tso's Chicken. So of course I went with it. The C.rolls were good and fresh and. The G.T. Chicken was well prepared and seasoned. Was a little to sweet for my liking but it wasn't bad. The fried rice was as an earlier review said. Felt like they just didn't put any fried in their fried rice. Overall great environment, wonderful staff, and good food. Def. will be returning to try their hibachi grill. read more

I do believe this is one of the best Chinese/Japanese restaurants in Clarksville. The service is wonderful and the food is very delicious. The menu options are quite surprising and very broad. This is really nice. I will most certainly always come back here. Honestly most of the Chinese places in Clarksville have something to be desired. There is no disappointment here! Very clean and the food is always fresh. read more

I am very upset with Rice Box and it's so called manager/owner Kristin Winters. We ordered the Mongolian beef and egg drop soup to go. When we got the food home and started eating the soup we noticed mold and lots of it. My stomach did not feel good afterwards. We threw it out and saved some to show them. Because we live 45mins away I brought back some of the moldy soup the next day, asking for a refund. The manager refused to do anything for me. Saying her soup was fine and they use all fresh ingredients, I said understand that but I have proof of the mold, I didn't put it in there. She said again that it wasn't their fault and that I should have brought the food in that same night, even after I explained how far I lived away. It didn't matter to her. She walked away and sent someone else out to tell me that she wasn't going to do anything for me. So I left the moldy soup and walked out. So disappointed, that's not how you treat your customers. Check your food over real good before eating and hope that you don't need anything because the owner is super unkind and rude. A picture of the mold has been included. I will be eating Chinese food elsewhere. read more

This place is pretty great. They're a little pricey, but they have a geographical advantage of being about the only place on the "other side of the bridge" that isn't a diner. I order to-go from here, but have eaten inside before. When getting take-out, you have to specify that you want utensils or they won't provide them. I find them to be really quick too, even when they're busy. The food is not bad either. read more

Our dinner last night at The Rice Box in Clarksville was not a good one. We went Saturday night for our Anniversary dinner and left very dissatisfied. The kitchen was ungodly slow and when we got our food, hubby's meat was cold and my general t's chicken had no chicken, it was almost all breading. The topper was when our server, instead of bringing out more hot tea, topped us off with hot water and expected us to re use the tea bag! We will not be back. read more

I ordered a spider roll and an eel roll. I could add a list of reasons for my low rating but it would be exhaustive, My order was for take out and it took over 30'minutes. When I got home after 1 bite from each roll I threw everything away, horrible so disappointed. Maybe they are more skilled in other food preparations but beware of their sushi or shasami or any rolls, not enough experience in that area. read more

We love this place! It's definitely a new favorite! First of all, the exterior is very deceiving--it looks so much nicer than what you'd typically expect of a restaurant in a strip mall. It was very sanitary. It wasn't crowded, so service was perfect. Their selection is very extensive, which made it a little difficult to decide what to order. We were not disappointed though! We ordered a hibachi meal, fried rice, sushi, soup, and Rangoon. It was all fantastic and we were even given free samples of sushi! The price was my favorite part. We left with two full to-go boxes and spent half of what we expected. They offer take-out and have their menu online. Definitely give it a try--you'll have a new favorite, too. read more

First time eating at this place, when you walk in the ambiance is really nice. My family ordered multiple things. Mongolian beef, shirmp teriyaki, bento, and sushi which were all a 8 out of 10. The only thing horrible was the service. We had a server name elise. And as a waitress your suppose to try and remember your tables and order or atnleast try. This waitress was literally like umm i dont know or im lost. And when asked for a soda she literally said oh I'll get it but can ypi wait cause i still haven't gotten that table and that table . And all she could've said was okay. So besides the service being a bit off ,the food was good. read more
