Service was fast and friendly. Nice table seating that we chose instead of the hibachi grill. Three different sushi rolls and all were amazing as well as the main entrees. Will definitely be back!!!! read more

Jessica was our server and she was a delight. I've had several servers and they have always been wonderful. The food here is delicious I especially enjoy the lunch specials which are a very good price for what you get. My favorite is their fried rice. Whenever I'm in town I will definitely stop here for a wonderful lunch. read more

So it's Lent (if you know you know) sushi to go was on the menu. My granddaughter and I had the Spicy Tuna Rolls which start off slightly spicy then the spice builds which her and I love. Spider rolls and Crunch Munch rolls were delicious as well. The wait was 15 minutes which was quick. Great decor in the restaurant so eat in would have been great but we had other plans. read more

We went to Mikado's for an Air Assault school graduation feast! We are so glad we did. The price is what you'd expect from an open hibachi grill atmosphere. The food/entertainment was excellent. We will definitely be back. For a family of four ordering three chicken teriyaki hibachi and one sushi roll, our order was just over $100. Considering we can go to some fast food restaurants, for a family of four adults, and total almost $100 for a lot less food, I think we did great! read more

This place is fantastic. We've known about it for years, but never came because we had a favorite of ours just across the border in TN. Since the other place has gone down a little in quality and atmosphere, we decided to give Mikado a shot. Inside the place is fantastic, very big and open. Parking outside is ample as well. We ALWAYS start off with a Kentucky Derby Roll...it's our go-to roll here and at the other spot. Each time we visit a place with sushi, we always look for a roll that's similar to this, but can't seem to find one. This one is good, ask for extra Eel and YumYum Sauce and you can't go wrong. The salad and soup, while certainly not the star of the show are certainly good. I ordered the filet (medium-rare) and shrimp, big fan of that surf & turf combo. Both are always cooked wonderfully, with the right amount of seasoning and the filet is cooked internally just right. Our chef tonight was spot on with the rice too! Not sure what his name is, but we've had him a few times and he's super consistent on everything he puts on that grill...and it is always delicious. I only have two negative issues that don't really impact the five star rating...1. The masks that the staff wear make it really hard to hear because it's generally pretty loud in the hibachi area. 2. Our chef didn't put on much of a 'show'. I, personally, don't need the show...but I feel that's a big reason why many people come to these places. Anyhow, if you've never been here, please get out there and get yourself a spot at the table. I, for one, think you'll like it. read more

It's all about a good chef. Jeremiah has reinvigorated my enthusiasm for a great hibachi style meal. He took the time to bring absolute perfection to each course of our meal individually, ensuring a perfect experience. I have been to many places over the past 25 years since my first shogun experience and it's always a crap shoot so to speak. If you dine here make sure and get the best and tip them well for such craftsmanship. Thanks so much Jeremiah. read more

Losing points for me. This was our 3rd visit for lunch and we were so disappointed this time. Don't know who was in the kitchen but they need more practice. Got lunch plate of shrimp & fried rice. I do not think we got much more than 1/2 cup of rice. The shrimp was drowning in some sauce. The fried items were drizzled with some kind of sauce that made them soggy. Even the flavors of things were off, my lovely fried rice didn't have much flavor , the fried items had "old oil" taste and even the sweet tea had an odd flavor to it. Monday was a really bad day for them. I shall give it another try. If the food is still off then I won't bother again. read more

We went to celebrate a birthday. The hibachi food and the chef was wonderful. Leo was friendly and good on the hibachi. The waitress was not friendly, it didn't seem like she wanted to wait on us, I don't know if it was because we were black or what. I told her who the birthday person was and she bought out a cake menu. He ordered then they charged me for it. I thought it was free like most restaurants for the birthday person. I called for the manager because I had seen them do it for people before . She basically told me they do it for some people not everyone. Well I told them I didn't want it and I will not go there again. I'm telling everybody how we were treated and I still tipped the waitress. At least they can't say black people don't tip , we do even when treated unfairly. read more

Food was great per usual, service was spotty...got drinks after food was delivered...but the wait staff is still pretty damn good...love this place! The food here is good but not better than the location in Nashville. I frequently visit the Nashville location so I know how good the rice and entrees can be. Now the YumYum is good. The server we had seemed to have issues with my black family. She greeted the other guests but just asked us what we were having. I will give them the bod and try it again. read more

The ramen was absolutely made with Top Ramen noodles. The broth tasted like the seasoning that comes with Top Ramen but with added veggies. The shrimp was from a frozen bag of seafood. Incredibly rubbery and flavorless. This place has the WORST ramen I've ever had. read more

Was invited by my mom because they swore the sushi was the best. It didn't disappoint. HOWEVER, I scrolled through reviews looking for the reviews about the ramen. I couldn't find any, so I took one for the team. I was not good. Overcooked maruchan noodles with some extremely dry chicken and onions. No other veggies. (Green onions and white onions for a little variety.) 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND RAMEN. Stay home and make it for .60¢ instead. read more

I'm rather upset with myself that it too me so long to try this place because it is so good. The service is great and the food is even better. The place is Japanese and has a hibachi grill (which we didn't try yet) but is more of a kind of asian fusion. We ordered a Bulgogi taco appetizer, which in hindsight we probably didn't need, but it was delicious. The starter was soup and salad. The soup was great and the salad was quite surprising. I'm not really a fan of iceberg lettuce however the yum yum sauce dressing was so good I ate it all. I took a risk with the entrée and ordered the NY steak (which is not my favorite cut) and salmon. It was perfect. The steak was so tender, the salmon full of flavor, and the sides were all my favorites--fried rice, hibachi vegetables, and lomein with shrimp. To end I tried the tempura ice cream. The only that could have made it better is if it had been drizzled with caramel or chocolate but I will definitely order again. If you like sake I highly recommend the sampler. It was a wonderful compliment to the whole meal. read more

Service was horrible. Hostess told me that the chefs left 15 minutes before closing for the afternoon.

Went here with some friends last night and overall it wasnt bad. I'll list the pros and cons. Pros: even though we arrived at about 8:40 and they close at 10 we were still seated rather quickly . The sushi menu has a pretty large selection similar to other Japanese steak houses around here. The drinks were pretty good and they carry green grape Soju which is by far my favorite soju flavor. The sushi, except for one roll, itself was pretty dang good and the flavor really stood out. The soup that came with the meals was also on point and full of flavor. Our server was also nice and made the experience enjoyable. Actually, the staff in general was extremely hospitable and full of smiles even being that close to closing time. Cons: the first thing that stands out is the price of soju there. $15 for a bottle that costs $1.50 in Korea. No matter how you spin it there is no way import taxes are bumping it to the point of a 1000% mark up. The Mikado roll was entirely too small and similar to a Naruto roll but thinner. The wasabi was also the generic paste stuff that you can buy at any store. Its so hard to find Authentic wasabi root in most sushi restaurants. Overall, i would def eat there again but maybe drink somewhere else. read more

We actually went to dinner the night that the storms moved in and tornados hit. Our chef was friendly as usual and did very well at cooking the food, even when the power went off from the storms. The crab rangoon was really good for an appetizer. I'm not a fan of salty stuff so the soy sauce was a little heavy for it. But the taste was great. The mushroom soup was by far the best mushroom soup I have ever had at a hibachi restaurant. And the food was delightful. Both of us got the shrimp, steak and chicken which I ended up taking mine to go because the storms were getting really bad. They handled everything well with all the tornado warnings going off. We will gladly come back. read more

Food is great not even going to lie, I love eating from there and I am from Miami, FL! Everytime I have gone, the service is about 4/10 kind of judgy. First time trying Mikado and I ordered the crazy boy roll and the house salad to go. Was expecting a nice crunch to my roll considering it was deep fried, but it was just greasy and soggy. The inside ingredients tasted fresh and paired well with the yum yum sauce, however, the eel sauce is thick and not very good. The house salad wasn't the best either, which greatly disappointed me because it's usually my favorite part of the meal, I couldn't finish it due to the fact that it was drenched in watered down dressing. I may try the hibachi in person, but to go orders are usually lacking. read more

13 of us went for lunch. We were in at 11:15am and out by 12:37 pm. The meals came with open salad bar which was nice. The salad bar included onions, tomatoes, carrots, and broccoli. Very simple but you could come back for more. Our chef really did a great job. No mistakes with the utensils and I took a video but cannot upload it. What was nice the one person with a shellfish allergy they would have cooked on grill first but she had them cook it in the back. The lunch menu is reduced portions and options. I could get steak and shrimp but not scallops. The sushi is available and reasonably priced. Really great place for lunch if you have a group and want the hibachi grill. There were no complaints so with a great chef, unlimited salad bar, and good food I gave them 5 stars. read more

The hibachi was ok... but the sushi was not that great. The rolls were not properly rolled and fell completely apart once we attempted to grab them with the chopsticks.
