I have tried other hibachi restaurants in the area. None can compare. The staff is extremely friendly and their food is amazing.

This is without a doubt the best hibachi restaurant I have ever been to. It came out so quick, and was way more food than I have ever gotten for the price that we paid. The shrimp, steak, and chicken were delicious, but the noodles are what stood out to me the most. I could have eaten an entire plate of just the noddles because they were that good. The actual restaurant was very clean which is also a plus. We will definitely be returning, and making this a regular place that we come to eat. read more

Hands down the best Hibachi and Sushi I've ever had! They also serve hot saki which is to die for!

The food was wonderful! I was taken for Mother's Day and I ordered the filet. It was expensive but very good. However they only get 3 stars bc we were not made aware that if you pay with card, they take an automatic gratuity. Obviously we were going to tip but in my opinion we should have been told that they do that. I honestly did not know it was legal. And our waitress was awful. She constantly walked past us without checking if we needed something, which we did and blatantly ignored us when we attempted to wave her down. So good food, bad service. read more

This place is in a decline. Got a cold, "medium rare" steak, which I returned, and I got it back beyond well done. The kitchen is either clueless or just spiteful. The attitude of the wait staff leads me to think it's the latter. Side of lo mein is spaghetti noodles and the "ramen" is literally just instant ramen. The food is okay. The don't have "white sauce" but have something near yum yum sauce. They do not have the ginger sauce either. The food wasn't necessary the problem it was the customer service. Upon arriving they ask for a name a phone number. I reiterated to the gentleman that was at the hostess bar that they would contact us via phone when we were ready he said yes. And that the wait would be about 20 to 30 minutes.. we ended up waiting 40 to 50 minutes. It was a busy night so we just assumed that they were busier than they thought so we decided to go in and check on the reservation. We stayed in our cars because there was literally nowhere to sit in the waiting space and we had a party of four. So upon going back in to check and see how long it would be, to our surprise, they had started a whole new page and was more than halfway down that page with guest and just had not called us to be seated. Every name on the paper was scratched off except for our party. Mind you they had our phone number and I was reassured that they would contact us. Once we noticed that they decided to seat us right away. Once we were seated our waitress was all over the place when it came time for the chef to come out... which we waited again another 25-30 minutes.. when the chef did come out, our orders were not right. I'm not sure but the waitress had things mixed up. Once we got that settled, he had to go back in and get more food that took another 10 minutes. The only light part of our visit was the chef. When I called to see if they were busy the women didn't say hello or goodbye. She said only "mikado" and "no wait". Super short and rude as if I was wasting her time. I walked in for hibachi. The waitress told me I had to order immediately because the chef was coming out soon. I asked for two minutes and she reiterated that the chef was coming and she couldn't wait. Then tried to tell me she wasn't trying to rush me. But that I had to order now, within 30 seconds of sitting down no exaggeration. Then I ordered a beer and she brought me the wrong beer in a red solo cup like I was at a college frat party. They didn't ask if I wanted desert or appetizer. The food was average and the hibachi chef was nice. They brought me a check before the chef even left and the .30 cent bic pen that had a plastic spoon taped to it. I saw this place on Yelp and figured I would try it. The restaurant was very nice and the waitress are also very polite and timely in waiting on you. So perhaps this is due to the fact I am from a port city so we take our sushi pretty seriously. I came in for lunch and did the lunch special getting 2 rolls which I choose the Spicy Tuna and Crunchy California. These are two very basic rolls that you really cannot mess up. However both of these rolls where very below satisfactory. The first roll which was the Spicy Tuna I could barely taste the tuna and if not for the spice I would not have tasted anything. The crunchy California lacked a lot of crunch. When I saw what was on my plate they put very little on the roll and it was barely powdered on. I took a bite and my first thought was bland. Very bland. When you bite into this roll you should taste a refreshing flavor that fills your mouth. However I was able to taste the rice more than the fish in this which isnt how it's supposed to be. You should have the freshest fish in sushi rolls and you shouldn't have to add much to it for flavor honestly however this did not happen at all. They barely put any fish in the sushi roll and what they did I picked out of one roll to taste just the fish and it didnt have any real flavor like other places. I will not be getting the sushi when I return but their other dishes do look good and I will be trying those from here out. read more

Passing through the area and heard good things about this place. They were all true, far exceeded my expectations. If I travel back through I will absolutely be eating here again! To start, the place is very clean and The staff were all very friendly. The menu was well priced and had lots of sushi options. I tried the deep fried spicy tuna with spicy mayo which was excellent. Many places have a very mild spicy tuna. This had a decent amount of spice to it. Not too hot, just a little spicy. As it should be! Then I got the chicken fried rice, which came with a salad and soup. This was a lot of food for $10. The salad was good, I liked the ginger dressing. More sweet than tart which was surprising at first but really good! The soup was basic, it's never been my fav part of the meal so I won't say great not bad, just the norm. Then came the chicken fried rice. I couldn't even eat 1/3 of it. It was a large helping! Overall I give this place 5 stars. read more

This was my third time coming here and this time it was so bad I didn't even get seated. The host was taking people's names out of order, and would not stand still long enough to even correct his list. The staff was ignoring guests, even while having 3 or 4 employees behind the front desk. Food is decent, but not great. The veggies were always under cooked, and still had a crunch during my other 2 experiences at Mikado. The staff has been horrendous all 3 visits. Not at all what we were expecting. I guess it's a sign of the times but all the other people at our table were on their cell phones and children on iPads at the dinner table. Again, not the restaurant's fault but if the hibachi chef was entertaining that wouldn't be happening. I was the only person at our table to decline fried rice because I refuse to pay $2 extra for something that should come with the meal. Sadly, I wasn't even served steamed rice. The noodles were just drenched in soy sauce and had no vegetables to go with them. Pretty basic. The calamari was not like anything we have had in other restaurants. The breading was really thick, making it more like an onion ring than calamari. They didn't have any cocktail sauce and it wasn't served with lemon wedges. It was accompanied by some sickly sweet sauce that didn't compliment the flavor of the dish at all. Everything cooked on the hibachi was drowned in thick, sugary sauces. I come here for lunch probably once or twice a week. It is super close to Fort Campbell and the food is really cheap during their lunch special. You get very full and all the food there is delicious. I suggest the chicken Katsu or any of the sushi rolls, I've tried and loved them all. I also think that the reviews here doesn't do it justice. We used to love this place 2 years ago but today Terrible experience on my Birthday. We called in advance to see if we could reserve a table and they specifically said they were not doing any reservations. We waited for 2 hours because they skipped over my family and I 4 times and then rushed us to a party room table that had no heat in the room so it was freezing because it was 15 degrees outside. They would NOT give us a discount or accommodate us for the inconvenience. This was horrible, my kids were freezing while trying to eat the entire time. I do NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE!!! The service was mediocre from start to finish. The server that seated us seemed to be rushing. After she thought I was done with my order, she moved on to my wife and took my menu to give to someone else. She did not offer a drink menu but gave the other people at the table a drink menu.The cook kept giving everyone else the extra food when they had already ordered extra food instead of spreading it around. He kept giving the kids food that they were already not eating that was extra outside of what they ordered and they just played over it. We had an emergency and had to leave before we ate and I asked for boxes. I got no bag and when I got my receipt the waitress was asking me what was wrong because I was reading over my receipt. I just wanted to look at it before I signed it. Needless to say no tip was given and I am big on gratuity, but bad service does not get rewarded. We got the bare minimum food for $76 and the bare minimum service. The ambiance was ok. They could have had a curtain covering the boxes of receipts and extra chairs in the corner. read more

I was hoping to bring the wife there for a nice meal thinking it would be better than most and a little more momentous. I was wrong, don't get me wrong the food is good, it was the service which disappointed me. I felt when the waitress did come she was in a rush to get away from our table. When the lemonade came and it was mostly water it felt like we were the inconvenience of a lifetime to the waitress. I wish we sat at the hibachi because maybe it would've been more memorable instead of the table but the service is what truly disappointed. I mean not even a follow up to make sure everything we ordered was good. I would have to be hard pressed to come back here but again the food is good just need to work on their service. read more

WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER! I wouldn't eat at this establishment again even if you paid me a million dollars. The staff, Teddy to be specific completely made the experience unbearable. There was also an older Asian woman who was extremely rude. She actually raised her voice to me....THE CUSTOMER! I went in tonight with a fairly large group. We are all survivors of active duty military who have died while serving this country. From the time we walked in up until the time I stormed out, it was all very terrible. Our reservation was for 6 pm. A member of our group showed up about 5:15 pm. I showed up around 5:30 pm. When I walked in there seemed to be some confusion of whether or not I had a reservation. To put it plainly, the staff didn't understand English very well. OK. I can over look that. No big deal. Around 6 pm we were told that we had to place our orders quickly because the grill was getting too hot. That wouldn't have been an issue if we had been given menus! The individual in our group who arrived at 5:15 pm told us that the grill had been turned on when he got there. If our reservation was for 6 pm, why would you turn the grill on that early? I also didn't appreciate the fact that the staff seemed as if they were doing us a favor, meaning, they told us that once we were seated to not move because it would confuse the wait staff! I have NEVER been told that I cannot change my seat at any other hibachi restaurant ever....in the world! They were very curt...dare I say, RUDE! Because we are a military affiliated group, we inquired about a military discount and were told that we would receive a discount off our meals. When Teddy, our server brought our checks out he asked if we would place our military IDs along with our payment. Many of us had an issue with this. Our military IDs have sensitive information. Normally, you just show your ID and that is good enough. Not with these people. When Teddy saw my military ID he commented that it wasn't a military ID! I'm confused. I'm the SURVIVING SPOUSE of a deceased active duty soldier. Of course my ID is valid. This is when the older Asian lady interjected herself into the conversation. She tells me that her husband is retired just like my husband. I corrected her. I explained that my husband didn't retire. My husband is deceased. She continues by say, oh well, we only give discounts to active duty soldiers. Folks, this restaurant is almost at the gates of Fort Campbell, Kentucky! When I tried to explain the situation again, she yelled at me and told me "you better not get an attitude with me". REALLY? I'm serious....REALLY?? I am done with this restaurant! The food was mediocre and the service is terrible but the biggest turnoff is how we were treated. I've NEVER experienced anything like this. I will be contacting the Consumer Advocate at Fort Campbell. read more
