Holy Ice Cream options! Came into Ricardo's today wondering what they were serving and left blown away by the multiple choices of custom ice cream to try. First of the colors will taunt you to desire a flavor which is great cause I love food vision! Now after sampling several flavors I chose the green apple caramel candy ice cream, YUM! The veins of caramel running through the ice cream is robust with flavorful. Loved every bite of my afternoon treat. As for service well it was exceptional. The server answered all questions and offered several samples to help me choose. Then I ordered a small cup and he was about to overload it up. I actually had to stop him. A little goes a long way. If you're looking for this place you'll see the clean white room with flowers in the window. Looks like an ice cream surgical center LOL... Can't wait for another scoop tomorrow! Make sure you have a scoop or more @ Ricardo's!

Ricardo's, started from the bottom ... of Metro Vancouver in White Rock. This ice-cream, bubble tea & coffee location will compliment the fellow location (Ricardo's Kandy Korner) already on the Granville Mall, just a 100 metres up the road. A very cool welcoming shiny interior, selling over 80+ flavours of delight ... ice-cream & rolled gelato. The staff were friendly & let me sample a few flavours. Bubble Tea & coffee as well as cakes & muffins are also available. The Granville Mall is going through a bit of a revival via new shops & entertainment options. Many businesses along the Mall, have come & gone over the years due to various factors. One thing for sure, the Mall is definitely in need of a major clean/spruce up. I wish Ricardo's all the very best of luck in surviving this urban jungle downtown. Open late, so keep that in mind in case you get a serious dessert craving at night. This will become a must stop location along the Granville Mall during those hot summer nights.

There are over 80 flavors of ice cream here! I've never been to an ice cream shop with that many options! The Ube Cookies & Cream is my favorite with Oreo crumbs all throughout. They serve more than just frozen desserts though. And the interior is very cool. I will be back to try more!

Man!! this ice cream hit me like an emotional support animal I wasn't allowed to bring inside. My babykins Sabrina waited outside with the dogs--cause communist Canada still thinks dogs are second-class citizens but I took one bite and saw the Lord in a waffle cone. Ooiii wowweeeee The flavor was so good it healed something in me I didn't even know was broken. The milkshake, though? Way too runny like my nose after whenever Sabrina over-spices her lasagna at home and calls it "experimental." Arsenic and old lace I think so ... Still, if love had a temperature, it'd be this ice cream cold, confusing, and somehow worth it every time.

Ricardo Ice Cream Shop has newly opened in downtown. I visited their candy store a few times before, and now I finally got to try their ice cream shop! They offer a variety of flavors, making it so hard to choose. They also have cookies and cupcakes. The ambience was very cute, and the cone decorations on the wall really caught my eye! I got Ube ice cream with a dipped cone. The presentation was impactful, with a vibrant purple color paired with a black dipped cone. It looked very fancy and eye-catching! The ube flavor was subtle, but I really enjoyed the ice cream and dipped cone. The cone was coated with crumbled cookies, which paired so well with the ice cream! Next time, I would definitely like to try a different flavor and also want to try their cookies and baked goods!

If you are looking for the gelato, ice cream or pastries, you are lucky because this place has it all! So many cones, flavors and cakes to satisfy your sweet tooth. There are seating areas of you want to enjoy your treat! Beautiful decor inside, too! The service was great and they let you try some flavors if you are uncertain. I had the ube gelato and it was sinfully delicious!!

The ice cream here is awesome and the scoops were very generous. Only thing is...I wasn't a fan of how crowded and noisy it was inside. Had so much trouble hearing when people were talking to me. I ordered the Original Peak, with a twist of vanilla and dark chocolate with cereal at the bottom. The first thing that stood out was the airy and fluffy texture, almost lighter than traditional soft serve. The dark chocolate brought a mild cocoa note, while the cereal added a crunchy, slightly nostalgic contrast at the base. That said, I expected the vanilla to have more of a rich, milky flavor. This is not the place for plain vanilla; it's the combinations (think honeycomb, matcha, or seasonal specials) that bring the experience to life. Based on the shop's concept, Soft Peaks is known for using local organic milk and keeping sweetness restrained, which tracks with that lighter, less sugary profile. Adding something like cereal or crunchy toppings makes a big difference. If you're a vanilla purist looking for a strong dairy note, this might feel a bit subtle.

When getting the matcha ice cream, I suggest getting straight matcha instead of the twist with vanilla because the vanilla washes out the matcha; it comes through better on its own. The sundaes are fun and a good, more affordable alternative to the similar parfaits at high end matcha cafes. I tried the tuna egg salad crepe and thought it was actually really good! The crepe was fresh and tender, there was a healthy amount of filling, and the tuna salad was actually mostly tuna with just enough mayo to hold it together which is how I prefer it. Again, the service is just through a window - you actually order at an electronic kiosk and the only interaction with a person is when your order is ready. There are two small tables outside if you want to eat there. During the busy summer season, it's very difficult to actually secure one of these tables, but there's other seating on the pedestrian streets just a few blocks away on Robson.
