This is our first visit and we loved the place! We have been looking for a bbq place here in Long Beach since JR's took a down turn.. Found it! I had the pork ribs and my wife had the brisket.. she said that it was the best brisket ever! The secret bbq sauce was delightful and accents the ribs flavor. Come on in folks, you won't be disappointed!!
Average BBQ here! I had way better around town but this was my first time trying and wanted to see how they stack up against the rest! I got the 2 meat combo for $36 bucks For ribs and brisket they add a $2 dollar upcharge for both? Then a long beach 10.5% tax for $3.45 to take more $$ from the customer? Why? Expensive for only two meats. I still got the ribs and brisket. Ribs were good but brisket was not! I like BBQ with smoked favor and this is far from it. It also came with beans which was ok and mac was ok. The place is super nice with inside and outside seating! They also have a clean bathroom which is a bonus and TV's to watch sporting events. Parking is easy on a tuesday. The service was very nice and friendly. They will give you a free drink if leaving a yelp review so let them know. Sadly too many better BBQ spots around town to come back here. Food rating: BBQ Ribs 7.5\10 BBQ Beans 7.5\10 Mac and cheese 7.0\10 Brisket 6.0\10
With very few BBQ options in the city, I tried this spot located on 2nd street. Luckily I found parking easily. This was for a takeout order. As a 1st timer, I went with my favorite cut of meat, brisket. This has an upcharge as noted on the menu. I found the meat to be cooked to perfection and full of flavor. I even enjoyed the BBQ sauce as that can make or break a BBQ spot for me. The plate was serve with 2 sides. I went with the good old standbys, potato salad and coleslaw. They were both a bit different here, making it unique. I am not sure I loved either, but they were both good. Overall, I found it a bit expensive for the portion size. And...BBQ without cornbread as an offering was a bit weird to me. I would return based on flavor and quality.
8/10 Two Meat Platter - Brisket, Gochujang pork belly, Mac n Cheese, & Potato Fries. - The brisket was definitely the star of the show for me, super soft and easy to eat. The pork belly had a good flavor but it was pretty tough. I took one bite and ended up packing it up for my boyfriend's lunch the next day lol. The mac and cheese and fries were decent overall. 9/10 Wings - Gochujang sauce and Buffalo - The gochujang sauce was my favorite for sure. For the other half, we asked for it to come without sauce so we could dip the wings in whatever we wanted instead. Cost - Two Meat Platter $31.90, Wings $18.00. (Before taxes and tip).
Hands down, best BBQ that I have had. We finished kayaking through the Naples Canals in Long Beach and stumbled upon this BBQ joint. While the dining room is quite small, and probably only holds 30 people, it was fine for the 7 of us since we came a little after the lunch rush on a Tuesday. We did the sampler which allowed us to try all of their meats. Not a single one disappointed, but my favorites were the smoked ribs, sausage and brisket. Their loaded Mac n cheese had a nice twist with the crunchy bits on top. The smoked chicken wings with the fusion gochugang BBQ sauce was amazing. Service from the host was great and he gave good recommendations so we really appreciated it since it was our first time. Even though this place is quite a drive for us, we will definitely be back! Well worth it!
BBQ is my thing! I'll never get bored of it! My bf asked me what I wanted to eat after our 5k and I said BBQ! After a few searches we came across RIBBRO BBq in Long Beach. We ordered the 2 meat combo that includes two sides. I was bumbed because they didn't have the 3 meat combo. I ordered brisket with pulled pork macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. My bf ordered brisket with sausage fries and the bbq beans. We also had an a la carte order of smoked chicken breast. It was nice that they had a different selection of sauces, a self serve bar with kimchi and pickles. Utensils, sauces and napkins were also available. I was hungry and was hopeful that this meal would satisfy my BBQ craving. Unfortunately, it didn't. I expected a smoky flavor on the proteins a nice bark on the brisket and it was far from that. It was lacking flavor. In order to taste flavor on the protein I was forced to dip it in the BBQ sauce. It was sad that I had to rely on the sauce for flavor. The Mac and cheese was too cheesy for my liking and the pasta was under cooked. American BBQ This is BBQ with an Asian twist. It was my first time trying RIBBRO BBQ and sadly it will be my last. I still have not found a good BBQ place in the LA area. I'm hopeful that I will.
We stopped by while walking up 2nd Street. A decent menu and average prices. We got the two meat platter with ribs and brisket. The ribs were delicious and cooked well. The brisket was tender and it was served in a pile. It could have come with a slice or two of bread. The two sides were Cole slaw and potato salad. The coleslaw was bland and the potato salad was tasty. We got a white wine and a refillable fountain drink. The wine was warm, it would have been better chilled. They have various sauces and pickles for toppings at the condiment bar. Kind of like a Korean flare to it. They have 4 large flat screen televisions on the walls playing the All Star game.
Food 4/5: Ordered the two meat combo, had the ribs and burnt ends. The ribs were tender and slightly sweeten. Great tasty flavor, no additional sauces needed. The burnt ends were also great, reminded me of pork belly from a kbbq spot. The rice was a bit lacking but overall the order was great. Bbq beans, was perfectly flavored, not too sweet. Add some soju and you have a great meal! Service 4/5: Staff was nice and quick. Ambiance 4/5: Nice spot on 2nd steet. Decent seating, nice clean decor.
Wow... where do I even begin... I ordered 2 two-meat platters for 4 people and it was able to fill all of us up. I recommend getting brisket, gochujang pork belly, sausage, and the pork ribs. The service was amazing too. The restaurant was very nice with the entrance being wide open to see the view outside. I HIGHLY recommend coming here again!!
Nice little spot for some different style BBQ. The atmosphere is very relaxed with tvs to watch sports. They offer beer and wine if you want it. Service was really good too. The style of the dinner is more of that old style burger joint or pizza by the slice type Places. You order up at the counter. Their menu is HUGE! Ordered the brisket songs sandwich, two meat combo with brisket and gochogang pork, and the loaded Mac n cheese with pulled pork. The food was all good. The pulled pork was delicious, the gochugang pork was like meat candy, and the Mac n cheese was fantastic. The sides were good too. The coleslaw was different and really good. Onion rings great, and the potato salad was a different style too. My two complaints about the experience was that the baked beans or BBQ beans were underdone and crunchy. The bbq sauces were just ok. The biggest issue was that the brisket was way overcooked. It was very tender to the point that it was mushy and hard to eat without it crumbling apart. The flavor was good though especially with some bbq sauce. They claim they are a Texas bbq. It's certainly a different style Of Texas Bbq. As I've never seen a Texas bbq place offer radish kimchi, or pickled radish. That said they were both absolutely delicious. If you stop in here you HAVE to get the loaded Mac, or get the rice bowl with pulled pork and that radish kimchi!

First and foremost let me just say that the hospitality was A1 and they had the food to back it up!! When I say you can't go wrong with their food I absolutely mean it. Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed their entrees. I ordered the one meat (ribs) with seasoned rice and potato salad. The ribs were actually smoked!! Yes it had the pink rings around the meat as proof and the taste was phenomenal!!! The meat was flavorful and it was moist!! The rice was seasoned well. The burnt rib tips were juicy and smoky. The staff and o believe the owner were really sweet and welcoming. We will be coming back. It's hard to find real bbq and smoked at that that taste amazing. This is the spot!!! read more
Where do I begin? Do I tell you this is the first "authentic" BBQ spot I've found in LB, despite it being a fusion with Korean flavor? 'cause it is. Nothing is dry. Nothing is bland. Portions are appropriate for the price point. It's served with hospitality, kindness, and plenty of sauces for you to choose from. Their brisket plate wasn't even capable of being photographed because my SO scarfed it down. The beans... My god. So good. The wingies. They're comforting with a lil kick but nothing that'll clear your plumbing if you're capable of taking a lil heat. The ramen fried rice caught my attention. It's a hearty lil mound of deliciousness stacked with rice, noods, some pork, and a sauce that wraps it all together with a spicy kiss. You get umami, spicy, salty, savory, all in one... And white kimchi for gut health as well as palate cleansing! The soju cocktail, it's sneaky, and pretty. I'd pace yourself if you're a lightweight. Customer service here is top-tier. 3.5* Saw this place while walking around in LB and since i havent had bbq in awhile we were excited to try it! Its a small but spacious place with an open concept for people watching or hanging out outside. The guy who helped us was very kind and welcoming! We both got the brisket plate & i think its great you can get lean or fatty (we got a mix). It was VERY tender but kinda dry too. I got beans and fries as a side and the fries were awesome! The beans coulda been cooked a bit longer cuz some were still crunchy. My husband got slaw and potato salad as his sides. He really enjoyed the slaw but the potato salad's flavor was a bit more subtle. The disappointment was the cornbread. It weirdly lacked flavor and i very much dislike corn in my cornbread tho i know some do! I shouldve asked but it didnt even occur to me since it was listed as a dessert. On their outside menu i saw loaded cornbread which i wanted to try but i didnt see it on the menu inside I like that they have sauces available on the side - original bbq, spicy, mustard base, ketchup, etc as well as napkins and finger wipes! The bathroom is clean. They have a bunch of options but not sure if i would be back...or maybe not anytime soon. read more

First time at RIBBRO. I have heard so many great things about the food here. Completely agree! Ordered an Original BBQ Brisket sandwich to go. The bun was stuffed with diced up meat. Messy but tasty! Definitely a fork type of sandwich. Bun was fresh and soft. Definitely excited to come back and try other meats! Service was friendly and helpful. My order came out quickly too. Glad we have this new BBQ restaurant on 2nd Street. Great addition! Very casual place for take out or dine in. read more

This spot is absolutely DELICIOUS! I got it on ubereats and was sooooo impressed by the portion sizes, taste, and presentation. All were standouts to me... especially the pork ribs, brisket, loaded potato (topped with brisket), & smoked chicken wings (gochujang sauce)! All of the sides were great & you HAVE to end with the cobbler for dessert. It has an amazing crumble cookie top layer which was so tasty. I can't wait to try this spot in person! read more
I'm in the area a lot and had passed by this place a few times, so we finally decided to check it out. It's a nice, cozy BBQ spot with a laid-back vibe. Valerie, the cashier/waitress, was awesome--super patient and helpful, especially since it was our first time there. She walked us through the menu and made sure we had everything we needed. We stopped in here after a beach run. We ordered Potstickers, Fries, Ribs, Brisket and a Loaded Potato. The flavors were unique. The bbq sauce was different and delicious. More savory than most. When this place opened several months ago, I wanted to try it but hesitated because of the poor reviews. After seeing more positive reviews and pictures of the food, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I left with mixed feelings after trying it. I went on a Sunday afternoon. I decided to eat there. You order first and then sit down. I was the only one sitting down. People were mostly coming in for to-go orders. Their menu is basically American BBQ with some Korean flavors if you want them. I ordered the 8 piece chicken wings in gochujang sauce (it was 2-5 pm happy hour, so it was $10) and a two meat combo (pork ribs, brisket, potato salad, and tangy almond slaw). The price for the combo was $30.90 ($1 upcharge each for ribs and brisket, which was not stated on the menu). I thought the combo was pricey for the amount of food (only two ribs!). Their service was slow since they were busy taking care of to-go orders. I got my food after 30 minutes. The chicken wings were good and I liked the gochujang sauce on them. The ribs and brisket were decent. The potato salad was fine. It just didn't have much flavor. The tangy slaw was tangy but good. I liked that they had Korean pickle condiments and sauces (both were good). I did not really enjoy the ambiance with people coming in and out getting to go orders. The music was very loud and jarring with the four TVs on showing random stuff. The owners, who are Korean, and some of the kitchen staff were just sitting at a table and eating. It's not a place I would want to sit and enjoy a meal and a beer. Service was just ok. Overall, the food was ok but too pricey given the other BBQ options in Long Beach. I don't think I would go back. Tip: Make sure you tell them that you want the happy hour wings (if it's happy hour) and not the regular priced wings. I was charged the regular price and had to get a refund. read more
Ribbros just join Long Beach on 2nd street and I had to check it out for lunch. I had someone pick me up from work to grab lunch. We wanted to dine somewhere not to far so we decided to come here. I liked that they had lots of items on their menu. You can get combo sets, a la carte, and they even had sandwiches, rice bowls, and salads. We ended up sharing the 3 meat combo plate that came with two sides. We also ordered an additional side. For our meats, I ended up trying ribs, brisket, and gochujang glazed pulled pork. Our favorite was the gochujang glazed pulled pork. The flavoring was really good. I also liked the brisket. The ribs were a tad dry but the flavoring was good. They provided 3 different types of bbq sauces as well. They had a gochujang one, the original and a mustard one. All three sauces were good. Besides the bbq sauces they leave out for you, they also have their yummy pickled onions and pepperoncini. For sides, we shared the mac n cheese, cole slaw, and fries. The cole slaw was very good. The mac n cheese was cool and the fries were your large cut fries. We thought it wouldn't be enough food when we first saw everything but it definitely was the perfect amount. You order at the register and pay first. They give you a number and bring the food out to you once its done. The staff there was really nice and helpful. Our food came out fairly quick. This place is very casual. There in indoor and outdoor seating. I would come back again. read more

Street parking or meter. The best part of my meal was the korean bbq sauce. My husband and I got the brisket meals, he got french fries and I got mac and cheese for my side. I like that the bun had the business stamp. My brisket was almost cold and lacked flavor, the mac and cheese was forgettable. The bbq sauces were excellent!!!! This is a new spot in Long Beach. It is in a very competitive foodie neighborhood. It is a new favorite of mine! We had lunch here a few weeks ago. The brisket was sublime, followed very closely by the pulled pork sandwich. I know this because our long tradition in barbecue joints is to have the kitchen slice the sandwiches in half. We exchange the half sandwiches and we both get both! The fries were world class, I highly recommend them! I enjoyed my potato salad, and my buddy inhaled his collard greens! The interior of the restaurant was comfortable but unexceptional. The service was quick and friendly. Overall this was a very satisfying lunch experience. The only thing good here is the brisket and the service. My friend saw this restaurant had a soft opening today. She wanted to try it, thus off we went. He asked to try a sample of the meats before we ordered. The first sample was the Korean pork pete. It was atrocious. Thus I did not want their pork ribs. The sample of the chicken was good and moist. The sample of the brisket was delicious. She got a three piece combo and I got the beef brisket plate. For her three meats she chose pork ribs, sausage, and brisket. For her two sides she got dirty rice and potato salad. The pork ribs were good and tender. The sausage was all right. The brisket was good. I got to be brisket plate with mac and cheese and potato fries. The brisket was good and the fries were good. The mac and cheese was way too al dente. We both agree that they do not know how to make Texas toast. As friendly fault, we spoke to the family who sat next to us. They agreed with our whole evaluation. Date: February 21, 2025 I met up my sister and brother at Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach and we were looking for a dog friendly restaurant for dinner and saw this spot that sounded interesting! They have two tables outside but they were both taken so we had to sit inside with our dog and they were totally fine with it. We love bbq and also Korean food so to have them mixed up was like WOW! We ordered three of the 3 meats combo (surprisingly it was a Saturday special so 2$ off) and got ribs, sausage, and brisket. It also comes with 2 sides so I got the fries and almond slaw. I ordered a gochujang pork sandwich to go for hubs. Some ribs were super juicy and some were super dry and hard. The brisket was flavorful and the sausage was good too. Fries were good but almond slaw was very bland and dry. Hubs said his sandwich was delicious but just small. They have a huge condiment table in the middle of the room where you can self serve all the sauces youd like and drink station to refill as well. Workers were all super friendly! I noticed one of the guys was chatting it up with everyone and they loved him! Love the friendly vibes. They do have a restroom so that's convenient as well. Thanks for a great first visit! read more

Yes I'd definitely go back to try everything on their menu. Two of my favorite foods merged together is a winning combination. Their gochujang sauce is killer, i had to bring some home with me. I had the brisket with a little bit of fat in there for the flavor, with potato salad and onion rings. The potato salad was a little bland but everything else was good. Will had the pork ribs, beans and mac n cheese. He said the ribs were good, the beans were just plain but he added bbq sauce and it was good. He didn't care for the mac n cheese, different noodle threw him off. Service was great, nice ambiance, parking on 2nd street is scarce but we lucked out on a spot right up front.
