When this place opened several months ago, I wanted to try it but hesitated because of the poor reviews. After seeing more positive reviews and pictures of the food, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I left with mixed feelings after trying it. I went on a Sunday afternoon. I decided to eat there. You order first and then sit down. I was the only one sitting down. People were mostly coming in for to-go orders. Their menu is basically American BBQ with some Korean flavors if you want them. I ordered the 8 piece chicken wings in gochujang sauce (it was 2-5 pm happy hour, so it was $10) and a two meat combo (pork ribs, brisket, potato salad, and tangy almond slaw). The price for the combo was $30.90 ($1 upcharge each for ribs and brisket, which was not stated on the menu). I thought the combo was pricey for the amount of food (only two ribs!). Their service was slow since they were busy taking care of to-go orders. I got my food after 30 minutes. The chicken wings were good and I liked the gochujang sauce on them. The ribs and brisket were decent. The potato salad was fine. It just didn't have much flavor. The tangy slaw was tangy but good. I liked that they had Korean pickle condiments and sauces (both were good). I did not really enjoy the ambiance with people coming in and out getting to go orders. The music was very loud and jarring with the four TVs on showing random stuff. The owners, who are Korean, and some of the kitchen staff were just sitting at a table and eating. It's not a place I would want to sit and enjoy a meal and a beer. Service was just ok. Overall, the food was ok but too pricey given the other BBQ options in Long Beach. I don't think I would go back. Tip: Make sure you tell them that you want the happy hour wings (if it's happy hour) and not the regular priced wings. Ribbros just join Long Beach on 2nd street and I had to check it out for lunch. I had someone pick me up from work to grab lunch. We wanted to dine somewhere not to far so we decided to come here. I liked that they had lots of items on their menu. You can get combo sets, a la carte, and they even had sandwiches, rice bowls, and salads. We ended up sharing the 3 meat combo plate that came with two sides. We also ordered an additional side. For our meats, I ended up trying ribs, brisket, and gochujang glazed pulled pork. Our favorite was the gochujang glazed pulled pork. The flavoring was really good. I also liked the brisket. The ribs were a tad dry but the flavoring was good. They provided 3 different types of bbq sauces as well. They had a gochujang one, the original and a mustard one. All three sauces were good. Besides the bbq sauces they leave out for you, they also have their yummy pickled onions and pepperoncini. For sides, we shared the mac n cheese, cole slaw, and fries. The cole slaw was very good. The mac n cheese was cool and the fries were your large cut fries. We thought it wouldn't be enough food when we first saw everything but it definitely was the perfect amount. You order at the register and pay first. They give you a number and bring the food out to you once its done. The staff there was really nice and helpful. Our food came out fairly quick. Date: February 21, 2025 I met up my sister and brother at Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach and we were looking for a dog friendly restaurant for dinner and saw this spot that sounded interesting! They have two tables outside but they were both taken so we had to sit inside with our dog and they were totally fine with it. We love bbq and also Korean food so to have them mixed up was like WOW! We ordered three of the 3 meats combo (surprisingly it was a Saturday special so 2$ off) and got ribs, sausage, and brisket. It also comes with 2 sides so I got the fries and almond slaw. I ordered a gochujang pork sandwich to go for hubs. Some ribs were super juicy and some were super dry and hard. The brisket was flavorful and the sausage was good too. Fries were good but almond slaw was very bland and dry. Hubs said his sandwich was delicious but just small. They have a huge condiment table in the middle of the room where you can self serve all the sauces youd like and drink station to refill as well. Workers were all super friendly! I noticed one of the guys was chatting it up with everyone and they loved him! Love the friendly vibes. They do have a restroom so that's convenient as well. We stumbled across this spot randomly after the LB Aquarium. Immediately greeted with a smile by what seemed to be the owner. Place was superrr clean which we appreciated. Food is without a doubt handled with passion and professionalism. Flavors are insane. Staff are kind. First time here and I don't understand how they're staying open. I ordered the bbq sandwich combo, small side of mac and cheese and an order of onion rings. Over $30 for lunch!!!!! Food prices outrageous, I get it bbq takes time. But $18 for a brisket sandwich, two bites of coleslaw and a soft drink (served in plastic to go cups). Not a lot of options for the soft drink choices, I would have preferred plain iced tea. Heck even sweet tea would have been a nice option. No ice in the soda machine and forget it if you needed more ice, you had to stop the guy at the counter to get a refill of ice. The sandwich was good, but I wouldn't come back for it unless the cost was significantly less. The meat wasn't overly sauced but it needed just a tad more sauce. Their bbq sauces were alright, mostly vinegary spicy. No sweet bbq sauces. Onion rings with ranch dressing, where shall I start... Price $8 for 6 small to medium sized onion rings!! These were definitely frozen, nothing about them screamed freshly made. Very disappointing to say the least. Mac N Cheese was good, fried bread crumbs sprinkled on top. Was it worth $6, eh maybe. But it wouldn't fill you up if that's all you ordered. Staff... the guys at the counter was not friendly what so ever and seemed bothered and irritated as I stood there deciding on what to order. Same guy brought my food to the table, same crappy attitude. A smile costs nothing and gets a lot in return. Service alone would make me think twice about returning. Side note, the gentleman sitting next to me had ordered well before me. When he saw my food had arrived and he hadn't gotten his order he asked. They had given his food to another table in error and he what he ordered was sold out by the time he approached the counter. Instead of giving him sides as a complimentary item he only got his meat. That showed me they were not in tune with customer service. The restaurant is quite small and the tables tightly situated, where your butt was nearly in the next tables faces as you try to take a seat. Plus you order food like you're at fast food counter, but at fine dining prices. Take your number, find a table and wait for you food. The TVs we're playing reruns of old sports games. Guess licensing for live sports isn't in their budget. Most likely will not return for bbq. I'll stick with Holé Molé brisket tacos. Those are worth the price. read more

Yes I'd definitely go back to try everything on their menu. Two of my favorite foods merged together is a winning combination. Their gochujang sauce is killer, i had to bring some home with me. I had the brisket with a little bit of fat in there for the flavor, with potato salad and onion rings. The potato salad was a little bland but everything else was good. Will had the pork ribs, beans and mac n cheese. He said the ribs were good, the beans were just plain but he added bbq sauce and it was good. This is a new spot in Long Beach. It is in a very competitive foodie neighborhood. It is a new favorite of mine! We had lunch here a few weeks ago. The brisket was sublime, followed very closely by the pulled pork sandwich. I know this because our long tradition in barbecue joints is to have the kitchen slice the sandwiches in half. We exchange the half sandwiches and we both get both! The fries were world class, I highly recommend them! I enjoyed my potato salad, and my buddy inhaled his collard greens! Placed an order at 4:30, for pick up at 6. Arrive at 6, and am not even acknowledged for a couple if minutes. When I am finally given some attention, i give my name and tell them i have an order for pickup at 6. I am told that the order was canceled and that all they have left is brisket and pulled pork. I showed them the email i had received confirming the order at the time I placed it, and indicated that I had no further communication: no texts, no emails. They puzzled over that, indicating that someone should have communicated with me. DUH! alI said i would be OK with brisket and pulled pork if they gave me a discount. He offered me a 5% discount. I left without any food, feeling really angry. They screwed up in some way, and i do my best to work with whatever problem they were having and they off me 5% off? This is not a serious bbq spot. The price point is too high for quality you'd expect. The workers were cold and it reflected in the food. Brisket came out very dry little flavor and had a more shredded meat consistency. The pork ribs had good bite and were cooked well but it doesn't make up for the most egregious part of the meal which were the mac and cheese. The noodles were undercooked and the sauce was more cream and flour than any cheese. And it was poured onto the noodles, not cooked with. So I ended up with a lot of dry noodles in the mac and cheese somehow since all the sauce fell right off the noodles to the bottom of the takeout cup. Bad execution leads to bad food. I can't imagine they respect the whole idea of southern bbq because if they tasted it they should know that what they're doing is wrong. The fake/forced high reviews wont help the business because it just takes one visit to know this is not a serious bbq place. Something needs to change. read more

We tried RIBBRO BBQ on 2nd Street in Long Beach for the first time on Saturday afternoon. The location is perfect for this restaurant as many people take pleasure in the "Second Street Shuffle" day and night 7 days a week. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the brisket sandwich with provolone cheese, aioli sauce, garlic mayonnaise, and onion rings. I added dill pickles. I cannot wait to have it again. My sides were white rice and coleslaw. Both were prepared to perfection. My wife had a loaded mashed potato with brisket, cheddar cheese, bacon, and bbq sauce. It was also cooked to perfection and delicious. We also had a slice of corn bread with butter and honey. OMG the meal was perfect! We sat at an outdoor table and enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine of Long Beach. I am a born and raised in Southern California, but have traveled through Texas extensively over my career (Deep South Texas, central, and tiny towns) and have had some phenomenal brisket over my life. I have smelled this place and seen it many times since I am a local to 2nd street, and today, I tried it and the results were HORRIBLE. Hands down, the WORST brisket I have ever had, anywhere. The fact that they call this "texas" style is an insult to bbq as a whole. The meat was dryer than my wife when I tell her I want to grow a mustache. There was NO fat rendering in the meat, the flavor was ALL pepper, no smoke ring, tough, and honestly tasted like they bought it from Costco's frozen section and heated it on a pan.
