Blackberry pie matcha and Coconut americano
    Angie T.

Hip and modern outpost of the original location in Greenpoint. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and the line was quite long. I got the viral Blackberry Pie Matcha and was pleasantly surprised. Sure, it's more of a dessert drink, but it hits the spot, it's not overly sweet, and the sauce pairs very well with the matcha - 5/5. My partner got the Coconut Americano, which came with an americano cloud, and gave it a 4/5.

This shop was vibey! I got the most popular one- coconut americana and i wasn't blown away by it. It wasn't too sweet and the coconut was good but eh. Maybe i needed more sweetener in mine. Matcha was fireeeeee though. That jam they used was so good!

Honestly just a real good, no frills coffee shop with a pretty decent matcha latte ($7.00). Got it hot and it was really balanced and smooth. Minimal decor inside but decent seating for the size.

Stopped by Rhythm Zero for their yuzu matcha made with Kettl and honestly loved the whole experience. The space is beautiful with a calm, gallery-like vibe and tons of natural light. The matcha itself was super smooth and balanced with the perfect citrusy yuzu flavor without being too sweet. Definitely one of my favorite cafe finds in Greenpoint lately

Omg, their drinks are AMAZING, hojicha was so good and creamy, and the blackberry pie matcha was so creative. I'd love to come back and try more drinks. The staff are kind, even though it is often very crowded inside. There is some seating and a bathroom.

Yummy matcha and they have a vegan chocolate chip cookie. Simple decor and modern vibe. Not very large in space but there are some seats indoors. There is a bathroom for customers. Would go back if in the area!

I went here as my favorite blogger/content creator hosted a pop up event with The Line Shop. We didn't have to wait online for our drinks and the servers were nice. They also had some baked goods if you needed a snack. I had the Matcha latte and it was a strong one! This cafe is super aesthetic and feels like a cozy museum gallery. There was a good amount of street parking available and a nearby lot. They encourage conversation so no wifi or computer use encouraged. I love that! The event was wonderful and if I'm on the area, I'd love to come back.

Me and a few friends came in before a shopping day around the area. It was chilly so thankfully no line outside as the inside is quite big. There were no open seats but that was fine for us. We waited in line for only a few minutes and then all ordered their seasonal blackberry pie matcha. And it truly tasted like blackberry pie. For me personally it was quite sweet and in turn not my favorite matcha but still really impressive. We didn't get any food although I do regret it. I will be back to hopefully find a matcha more my speed and try some of the baked goods.

Short line when I visited at around 2 PM on a Saturday. The iced pear brown sugar latte was amazing - definitely would get that again. My boyfriend also liked his espresso. Bonus points for having a bathroom and lots of seating!

Came to Rhythm Zero while staying in Greenpoint to try the iced coconut americana which I was super intrigued by. It's coconut water topped with a later of espresso foam for a refreshing, light pick-me-up kind of drink. I'm definitely a cappuccino kind of girl so I like my drinks on the stronger side but I was pleasantly surprised by this. The coconut water adds a light sweetness to the espresso. I do wish the foam was a bit richer but the airyness is nice if you want something that is closer to a milk foam than a cream top. My friend got the yuzu matcha spritz which I also tried. Citrusy and bright, it's definitely a great alternative to coffee and I could definitely see myself coming back for this as well! The cafe has some large tables inside as well as small tables on the street for a good amount of seating. I also saw people working from there on a Friday morning. Overall great place to grab coffee to-go or stay for a bit with a friend.

I've been coming here for a while now, and it always hits the spot! It's a chill, dog friendly spot plus they have a restroom, which is always nice to have when just hanging around with friends. Service is okay, not super friendly, but not unfriendly either. They used to have a raspberry matcha latte which I loved, wish they would bring it back! My new go-to drink is the Blueberry Matcha Latte - it's creamy, the matcha is high quality (I believe they use Kettl matcha), and not too sweet. My friend got the Coconut Americana and she said it was really light and refreshing.

What a chill coffee shop this is! It is probably because of the time I went but there were nit many people here. I mean most of the chairs/couches here were taken. There are two or three outdoor tables as well. The vibes here are pretty chill. It is on a side street of Green point and it is luckily walking distance from the ferry. I came here to try the viral Coconut iced Americano. I had forgot the name of it but as soon as I said the viral drink to the barista she knew exactly what I was talking about. Wow this drink is very tasty I was surprised I was going to enjoy it as much as I did. The staff here were friendly, nice and all young people. I would deff come back here. There are other locations in Manhattan as well.

Ordered: Iced Coco Americana (~$8): frothed espresso and Strange coconut water Aya's take: Rhythm Zero is a modern, aesthetically pleasing cafe in the heart of Greenpoint. Between the round tables, couches, and large portraits hanging, I knew we were in for a treat. It gets super busy and loud, definitely not the spot to come to for some quiet reading or relaxing. The Iced Coco Americana is one of the most unique coffee drinks I've tried this year! It was super refreshing and naturally sweet from the coconut water with that lightly creamy and bold, rich intensity from the frothed espresso. You do have to keep mixing this drink aggressively for the 2 layers to mix. But before you do mix, make sure you take that cute photo. I also love their minimalistic branding on the cups. Great spot; I would come back for the matcha!

RATING: 4.5/5 | Came on a Saturday late afternoon and it was busy! The line moves, thankfully. It's…read morerelatively spacious for a cafe, but there's minimal seating. There is some counter space, but mainly for standing purposes. I ordered a standard Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk ($7.35) and my friend got her usual Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte ($8). Docking 1/2 point bc the matcha is pre-made. I'm a fan of the whisking process bc I do believe there's a craft to matcha overall. Surprisingly, my drink tasted fine and my bev was a good color, so I was pleasantly happy. We waited less than 10 min for a table to open up, but you have to be there at the right time, otherwise you prob just grab your drink + go. Overall, glad I tried Kijitora. It's not my first matcha choice, but it was decent for a standard matcha latte. Their specialty matcha drinks look to have mixed reviews, but I'm personally not a fan of sweet drinks.

I came here today to experience local matcha from Kijitora, a local matcha place that was all about…read morecats! Everything was cat They had a lot of merchandise dedicated to cats! The tote bags were so cute but they were kind of pricey in my opinion. A standard beige Kijitora bag was priced for $30 each! They had several designs for sale. I was just busy checking out the cool cat merchandise while I was waiting in the long line to purchase the matcha drinks. The line was exceptionally long! It was worth the hype though! When I was my turn, I got an iced strawberry matcha latte and an iced mango matcha latte. It was so pretty when I got them. The mango and strawberry paste were sitting at the bottom of the matcha latte. I had to stir and mix the fruits with the whole drink. Surprisingly it was not sweet at all and was just right! They made it in a way that wanted you to crave more of it. It was very addicting. I did not get onigiris this time but will be sure to get some next time I'm here. They were just $4 each for miso salmon, tuna mayo, mentaiko cod roe, sukiyaki beef, and chashu pork. What a decent price for one onigiri! I would definitely be sure to get the miso salmon next time I'm here. The place was very cute with nice little tables for individuals. The place was very cozy with lots of sunlight coming in. Very modern with plants all around. It was so loud with people talking over each other. There were too many people on a Sunday afternoon so I had to walk around or cut through people to get my way. It was that crowded. I also didn't expect this place to be on the second floor and the stairs to be that steep. It was hectic carrying my stroller upstairs. Luckily someone helped me get down! The stairs are very narrow so I had to hold onto the rail. It was not ergonomically friendly at all.
