I really appreciated his detailed estimates and updates. When we first met, Roy clearly explained the areas where we might expect the need for budget flexibility. He explained areas where unanticipated expenses often turn-up and let us know areas where there might be able to save by avoiding unnecessary options. He also explained areas of the project where there might be delays and why they might arise. The updated estimates helped us easily keep track of the scope of the project and track our outlays. We had water damage due to water heater leakage. So had to redo the whole downstairs. Came across RG drywall here on Yelp and am so happy I went with them. One stop shop! They are the best! Reasonably priced, easy to work with and always on time. Or if any unforeseen circumstances came up, they did not hesitate to communicate. I used Sherman Williams paint throughout. Color is Accessible Beige. Flooring is LVP stone composite, 20mm layer from Ventura Stone and Tile. Because I went through RG drywall, Angel from the flooring place worked with me on the price. Overall great work performed by Carlos. Had a very difficult job of blending new drywall texturing with old across several large areas after significant water damage. I'm very impressed with the work and feel it couldn't have been done much better given the circumstances. My only knock would be some weirdness in the communication with Roy regarding the job that made me scratch my head. He said they were too busy to send out a full crew, but Carlos was looking for some additional work on the side (No problem at all.). But then all communication continued to be through Roy, and Carlos did the work on three consecutive week days during regular business hours. Again, no real issue with any of this, but it did make me extra cautious because it all came across as fishy. If it's just a matter of sending fewer guys to more jobs because you all are so busy, you can just be honest with that, instead of tripping my spidey senses after dealing with bad contractors in the past. Roy at RG Drywall and Repair s wonderful, I reached out for a simple patch and paint quote for some damage on our ceilings from recessed lighting installation. I also requested a quote for the whole house to be painted at a later date and I was pleasantly surprised with how knowledgeable and communicative he was. He sent out Antonio for our paint bid right away and the cost was the best between them and 5 other local painters. They were able to repair all of the drywall and primer and paint within 1 week and Antonio did the most detail oriented job. He answered all of my questions and has such an eye for detail. You can really tell he takes pride in his work. He could have rushed thru this quick easy job but instead he went above and beyond and even helped me paint a couple of other walls that I had tried to touch up and used the wrong color and looked awful. This review is overdue. We entrusted our major remodel to Roy Garcia and his able crew of skilled craftsmen this past Summer. From estimate to completion, Roy always made himself available for any questions or concerns my husband Jim and I had. Though there were a few delays due to supply chain issues, Roy worked around them to minimize construction time and to keep our remodel progressing. Roy and his crew are very thorough in their trades and do not settle for anything less than perfection. The end result is that I now have a kitchen that is even better than I imagined and a living room and family room that we are equally proud of. Not only was Roy's estimate quite reasonable but several times when certain parts of the job turned out to be less complicated than first thought, Roy voluntarily reduced the quoted price of his own volition. This is almost unheard of in our experience and we truly appreciated his honesty and professionalism. The remodel included significant drywall repair, new paint, new lighting, new floors and baseboard, a fireplace remodel, a new kitchen window, converting a utility closet in the dining room to much needed additional cabinet space in the adjoining kitchen, new kitchen cabinetry, new countertops, new backsplash, the addition of cabinetry including a wine rack in the dining room, a conversion from an electric stove to a gas stove, and the installation of all new appliances. Right off the bat, I want to say that I didn't end up using RG for my project. However, my experience with them was so positive that I felt the need to write a review based on my interaction with them. I recently had a water re-pipe done at my house, which required drywall to be removed from several walls as well as one section of stucco. I received a quote for the drywall and stucco repairs from the same contractor who did my re-pipe, but the price seemed way too high. At that point, I decided to go to Yelp and try to find some well-reviewed vendors to get additional quotes. Through Yelp's messaging system, I was able to interact with Roy, who did an absolutely fantastic job of communicating with me promptly and thoroughly. I've messaged other vendors through Yelp who have been very slow to respond, but Roy consistently responded to my questions within minutes. I felt very comfortable that he would be available and appreciated how he kept me in the loop. Ultimately, I only ended up getting estimates from RG for my drywall and stucco repairs, but the fact that Roy kept me informed throughout the whole process was very refreshing. I went with a different contractor due to the fact that a couple of friends of mine highly recommended this contractor. If not for this factor, I likely would have chosen RG to handle my project. In the end, a homeowner's choice of a contractor is based on many different factors - quality of work, price, customer service, etc. I can say without any reservation that anyone who has a chance to talk to Roy won't be disappointed in his customer service. read more

We had recessed lighting installed in our kitchen. Roy and his guys did not install the lighting but they did all of the work after! Dry wall, adding texture, and painting the ceiling. After the ceiling was completed, we continued to use Roy and his guys' services to renovate more of our kitchen. They removed our vent hood, installed a new vent hood and painted our kitchen cabinets. Any job we needed doing, Roy helped us get it done.
