I recently had the pleasure of working with Roy and his crew to stucco the wall around my recently-updated electrical panel. I kid you not, Roy had one of his guys at my home within a few hours of reaching out. He's fast to respond, is thorough with his updates and such an easy going guy. The panel upgrade was permitted through the city so they had to do the stucco work in two phases; once before the rough inspection and again before the final inspection. Roy and his crew were able to work with my schedule and had my wall sealed up in no time. Couldn't be happier with the quality of the work done, at a price that's more than fair. Looking forward to working with Roy and his guys again in the future! read more

Background: We had a drywall mold issue, which uncovered an asbestos issue and termite issue, which were due to a window leak issue. After the drywall was removed, Roy coordinated the rebuilding in two rooms: bolstering framing, new windows, stucco, drywall, and finish carpentry. Roy's knowledge and attention to detail allowed him to tackle the root cause of our problems and construct nicely finished product at good price. read more

I have to say I'm very impressed with Roy's work and his commitment. His guys have done an outstanding job. I'm truly grateful to have them helping us through my parents remodel as well as helping with our home projects. Roy is not just a GC but an advocate who is looking out for your best interest, even if that means someone else has the bid. No contractor I ever worked with operates like this. Roy is available via text and by phone if needed at what nearly seems all times of day. He is very responsive and has excellent communications throughout the whole process. I always felt that the project was moving forward, barely any time was wasted and someone had been working at the house every day, and even on weekends or late at night beyond 8 pm in some cases. They were very respectful of our time and privacy, but it helped that the house was vacant for most of the project. But even as my parents moved in they were in and out and worked quietly and cleanly. We've had a lot of general contractors that have given us issues before, done mediocre work and overcharged us and never met the deadlines. Roy and his team delivers on time, and in some cases earlier than expected. They do what they say they're going to do, set expectations and provide fair honest pricing. I have found that the teams he recommends go over and above. Speaking of which, Randy Segovia and Leo are awesome at repairing drywall and they both have a fantastic work ethic. They removed 1700sq ft of popcorn ceilings and skim coated the walls. The walls are perfect, and the texture looks incredible. I was not expecting it to turn out this well considering the condition of the walls and age of the wallpaper but they worked their magic. Having these walls fixed made such a significant difference in the appearance. Their work would not have been possible without the help of Antonio Sierra. He removed 1700 SQ ft of 40 year old wallpaper in two weeks time. It was a lot of work for a reasonable amount of money all considered. He put in so much effort to saving the drywall, most of which was vaulted ceilings. The painting went so very well and really made my parents retirement home beautiful. I truly believe that their communication, cooperation and work ethic between each other goes such a long way in making this project come together so well. That is where Roy's team shines from others in his field. I highly recommend you hire Roy and his team for whatever you may need. You won't be disappointed. read more

Roy and all of the subcontractors he used for our home remodel were the best, friendliest, most competent people you could ever meet. Roy guided us through the process and made sure we avoided mistakes in our design plans. He noticed a problem in our home that had nothing to do with his project, and he fixed it for free. He told us, "there will be bumps along the road - no project goes exactly as planned". Yes there were surprises but he was all over them. The best thing he did was COMMUNICATE. Texts, calls, emails - he anticipated our needs and gave us great, great service. Thank you Roy! read more

I can't say enough good things about working with Roy and his team on the complete remodel of my bathroom! From start to finish, Roy was with me every step of the way, ensuring the entire process was smooth and stress-free. One of the best things about working with Roy was his incredible design ideas and skills. He has a knack for suggesting things that completely transformed the look and feel of my bathroom. My nickname for his is DR (designer Roy) Roy was always responsive--no matter how many texts I sent asking for his design advice (and there were a lot!), he always got back to me quickly with thoughtful suggestions (pros and cons) that made the bathroom turn out even better than I had imagined. He has an eye for detail. The subcontractors Roy brought in were also fantastic--professional, skilled, and respectful of my home. They kept the work area clean and were on time every day, which I really appreciated. It's clear that Roy only works with the best My new bathroom cane our AWESOME and I couldn't have done it without Roy's great design expertise and his entire team.. If you're looking for a general contractor who will go above and beyond, look no further than Roy. Highly recommend! read more

Roy did a great job fixing our drywall when we remodeled our bathroom a couple years ago (I got a little aggressive with removing some old tiles). He came out quickly to squeeze in the work between other contractors, was reasonably priced, and did beautiful work. So I called him again with another remodeling project (quartz countertop install), and he put me his guy Alex on the project, who just did great. Both Roy and Alex worked with me to figure out exactly what I needed (and where to get the best prices on quality quartz slabs), and gave me some great tips on options to save money while still producing a beautiful finished project. These guys are awesome, and I will definitely call them for my next project! read more

I had some moisture issues in my bathroom and the plaster was starting to blister. Roy was quick to respond to my request and was able to give me a detailed quote once his crew came out to to visually inspect my bathroom. Carlos came out to do the work. Carlos did a fantastic job at replacing a couple of sections of wall in my bathroom. The work was smooth and seamless. I highly reccomend Roy and his crew. read more

We had some water damage through a doggy door and needed to repair the drywall and cover the door on the outside with stucco. Roy took a look at my pictures via text and determined the job was too small to take on....however, he proceeded to coordinate with his crew to take on my job on the side. He took care of everything (getting the bid, organizing the job time, etc.) The job was done within 1 business day of me texting him. Roy definitely earned my business for bigger projects that come up. read more

Overall great work performed by Carlos. Had a very difficult job of blending new drywall texturing with old across several large areas after significant water damage. I'm very impressed with the work and feel it couldn't have been done much better given the circumstances. My only knock would be some weirdness in the communication with Roy regarding the job that made me scratch my head. He said they were too busy to send out a full crew, but Carlos was looking for some additional work on the side (No problem at all.). But then all communication continued to be through Roy, and Carlos did the work on three consecutive week days during regular business hours. Again, no real issue with any of this, but it did make me extra cautious because it all came across as fishy. If it's just a matter of sending fewer guys to more jobs because you all are so busy, you can just be honest with that, instead of tripping my spidey senses after dealing with bad contractors in the past. All turned out fine though and I'm very pleased with the work. read more

Roy and his team did all the heavy lifting to help us update our kitchen. Working with them has been very easy. I can recommend them without reservation and would happily work with them again. Every tradesman who came to the house was professional. Early in the process some of them made suggestions about adjusting the scope of the project that really made the result shine. This included small changes in the areas of plumbing, lighting, and surface finishes. From the outset, Roy communicated with us clearly and consistently. I really appreciated his detailed estimates and updates. When we first met, Roy clearly explained the areas where we might expect the need for budget flexibility. He explained areas where unanticipated expenses often turn-up and let us know areas where there might be able to save by avoiding unnecessary options. He also explained areas of the project where there might be delays and why they might arise. The updated estimates helped us easily keep track of the scope of the project and track our outlays. The project was finished in the time frame we expected and well within our budget. Any overages were due to things I adjustments I asked for. The pacing of the payments also kept stress levels low. I appreciate how Roy helped keep the overall project in balance in terms of what we wanted, practicality and costs. read more

We had water damage due to water heater leakage. So had to redo the whole downstairs. Came across RG drywall here on Yelp and am so happy I went with them. One stop shop! They are the best! Reasonably priced, easy to work with and always on time. Or if any unforeseen circumstances came up, they did not hesitate to communicate. I used Sherman Williams paint throughout. Color is Accessible Beige. Flooring is LVP stone composite, 20mm layer from Ventura Stone and Tile. Because I went through RG drywall, Angel from the flooring place worked with me on the price. Tonio did a great job with the painting. And they were fast! I posted some videos to show the final product. I hope this helps anyone looking to redo their home. Stop your search. No reason to look anywhere else. I just purchased a home and have used a few different contractors for typical renovations. I texted Roy a couple photos of some drywall finishing and he responded right away. The communication only got better from there as we texted back and forth about the details. Super convenient. Roy had Carlos help us. He was fantastic and super clean. If it weren't for the finished work, I wouldn't have know he was there. His work is second to none. Roy at RG Drywall and Repair s wonderful, I reached out for a simple patch and paint quote for some damage on our ceilings from recessed lighting installation. I also requested a quote for the whole house to be painted at a later date and I was pleasantly surprised with how knowledgeable and communicative he was. He sent out Antonio for our paint bid right away and the cost was the best between them and 5 other local painters. They were able to repair all of the drywall and primer and paint within 1 week and Antonio did the most detail oriented job. He answered all of my questions and has such an eye for detail. You can really tell he takes pride in his work. He could have rushed thru this quick easy job but instead he went above and beyond and even helped me paint a couple of other walls that I had tried to touch up and used the wrong color and looked awful. He is kind and thorough and I really thank them for helping us. We had no idea they also do remodeling interior and exterior so we will be working with them quite a bit in the future. read more

I recently had a bathroom remodel done & wish I had contacted RG Drywall in the first place for EVERYTHING. I had an existing mirror removed & the drywall was very damaged. This review is overdue. We entrusted our major remodel to Roy Garcia and his able crew of skilled craftsmen this past Summer. From estimate to completion, Roy always made himself available for any questions or concerns my husband Jim and I had. Though there were a few delays due to supply chain issues, Roy worked around them to minimize construction time and to keep our remodel progressing. Roy and his crew are very thorough in their trades and do not settle for anything less than perfection. The end result is that I now have a kitchen that is even better than I imagined and a living room and family room that we are equally proud of. Not only was Roy's estimate quite reasonable but several times when certain parts of the job turned out to be less complicated than first thought, Roy voluntarily reduced the quoted price of his own volition. This is almost unheard of in our experience and we truly appreciated his honesty and professionalism. The remodel included significant drywall repair, new paint, new lighting, new floors and baseboard, a fireplace remodel, a new kitchen window, converting a utility closet in the dining room to much needed additional cabinet space in the adjoining kitchen, new kitchen cabinetry, new countertops, new backsplash, the addition of cabinetry including a wine rack in the dining room, a conversion from an electric stove to a gas stove, and the installation of all new appliances. We couldn't be happier with the way it turned out and would wholeheartedly recommend RG Drywall for all your remodeling needs. read more

Right off the bat, I want to say that I didn't end up using RG for my project. However, my experience with them was so positive that I felt the need to write a review based on my interaction with them. I recently had a water re-pipe done at my house, which required drywall to be removed from several walls as well as one section of stucco. I received a quote for the drywall and stucco repairs from the same contractor who did my re-pipe, but the price seemed way too high. At that point, I decided to go to Yelp and try to find some well-reviewed vendors to get additional quotes. Through Yelp's messaging system, I was able to interact with Roy, who did an absolutely fantastic job of communicating with me promptly and thoroughly. I've messaged other vendors through Yelp who have been very slow to respond, but Roy consistently responded to my questions within minutes. I felt very comfortable that he would be available and appreciated how he kept me in the loop. Ultimately, I only ended up getting estimates from RG for my drywall and stucco repairs, but the fact that Roy kept me informed throughout the whole process was very refreshing. I went with a different contractor due to the fact that a couple of friends of mine highly recommended this contractor. If not for this factor, I likely would have chosen RG to handle my project. In the end, a homeowner's choice of a contractor is based on many different factors - quality of work, price, customer service, etc. I can say without any reservation that anyone who has a chance to talk to Roy won't be disappointed in his customer service. read more
