Walked in and there were around 4 people waiting. Lots of empty booths and tables. The young man that was taking names told us it would be an hour for 3 people. Mind you we are here about 1-2 times a month and this place was dead considering. Well when he told us an hour we didn't stay. Really disappointed. But then realized what the deal must have been. By far (and wide) there is no better Mexican food anywhere than at Reyna's. The wait staff is equally as fantastic as the beautiful food presentations. See a couple of my photos. Either sitting at the bar or at a table/booth, you won't be disappointed. But our number 1 reason is the availability of vegan options. Sometimes there are 'specials'. Just the normal options on the menu are commendable like the rice tacos or the best burrito I've ever had (photos). Husband also loved his. All cruelty free and healthy! I am updating my review from last year of 2-stars to 4-stars. Both the food and staff at Reyna's have finally improved to match the new décor. I've come 5 times in the past year. The new menu is great. I especially like the BYOB (Build Your Own Burrito), you can make it exactly how YOU want! The fish tacos are also good. The staff is friendly and much more attentive now. No more waiting for more chips and salsa! And their chips are fresh made and delicious. I handed my credit card to the waitress on my last trip without really looking it over, when the waitress came back she said there was a mistake and already removed the extra order before running it. Love love love this spot in town! My husband loves the fish tacos, and my favorite dish is the garden enchiladas.

On the down side (the only real one) is the average wait to get your food. This place is a staple for the local community and everyone comes here. The food is awesome and worth the wait and the alcohol is not "watered down". You order a drink that is what you get. If you like your food spicy, you can ensure that it is and they will ask if you know what you are getting into. read more

Honestly, I was NOT expecting to like Reyna's as much as I do. I've eaten Mexican food closer to the border for so long now that I feel like I've become a snob about it. LOL. From the start, staff welcomed us promptly and courteously. And I feel like they've always done a great job of giving us the correct wait time. I hate nothing more that thinking that I'll only wait 10 minutes but it turns into 30-40 minutes. I've tried a few dished but I've determined that their chicken enchiladas with a side of rice and beans ($3/ $10) is my go-to dish. I LOVE their rice and beans which surprised the heck out of me. Most places tend to be boring but I love whatever they do to their dishes. I've had the BYOB (Build Your Own Burrito-$9). It's fine. I've had better. But what irks me the most are burritos that fall apart while eating. I really don't like having to use a knife and fork to eat my burrito. It must be held in my hands!! I'm also a big fan of the nachos ($10.95) and the fish tacos ($4.25/$12). And I can't believe how cheap beer is here! Maybe I've been living in Santa Barbara too long but I always feel like drinking double the amount I usually do because it's so cheap. I love that they have Blue Moon, DBA, and Barrelhouse. I'm no expert on mexican food, in fact I'm the one everyone teases for constantly asking "what's that" because I'm not from California nor am I Mexican so mexican food was never a big part in my gastronomic upbringing. However, every single time I come here I know I can expect consistency, which is something I greatly appreciate in any dining establishment. The consistency is important because the first time I ever had food from here it was great and then every time after it was great. The only thing that kind of bugs me is the lack of vegetables. I know rice and beans are both vegetation but when you look at the food pyramid, they don't fall under vegetables. They serve salads with most of the things I've gotten which is nice, but doesn't really cut it for me. But the food is good enough that I don't mind just popping a vitamin on the days I decide to eat there. read more

We put them to the test tonight and were disappointed. We last visited during Lent so I was looking forward to going back. There was a USC game on the PAC-12 networking, which they do not subscribe to, so we had to resort to take-out. No little salads with our combos, the requested jalapeños didn't make it in the bag. The beans and cheese enchiladas were noticeably salty. The tacos were full of meat but the meet wasn't really favoraful and neither was the guacamole on top. The tacos were the best art of the meal though. The margaritas consumed while waiting weren't as good as they were last spring either. I'm shocked to read some of the negative reviews because my experiences have always been positive with regards to the food. Good food, nice remodeling job. We went for lunch on a Saturday and although it was fairly full, the noise level wasn't bad. I really enjoyed my charbroiled chicken taco plate. Food is ok. A little pricey. Don't judge the place from the outside. Inside is spacious with plenty of seating. Service is friendly. Update: March 2 2012- I've been here 4 times since they've remodeled the restaurant and I am in love. Service can be slow sometimes, and other times you may have to wait for a table but, it's worth the wait. The remodel has helped me see a whole new Reyna's. Reynas is a solid go-to in the greater Lemoore area. The house salsa is honestly one of the better ones that I've had in Mexican restaurants. I had the chicken mole and was super impressed. On the other hand I have never had a bad meal, never left without leftovers in hand, and never had less than incredibly friendly staff wait on us. I would give 5 stars for the food. The food is excellent. The service is horrible. They won't take reservations, they have a huge restaurant but can never accommodate, we have waited well over an hour when there were empty tables just sitting there. We called at 5pm to pick up food to go and they said it would be an hour so we asked if it would be ready when we got there in an hour and she couldn't be sure and wasn't able to time it. Had a build your own burrito. The menu listed a price for three toppings, but when I got the bill I was dismayed to see an additional charge for each topping. The food is okay, but he service at this place has declined slowly over time to the point it's almost unbearable. My DIL ordered the enchiladas with the "cheese and onion blend". As soon as she realized the onions were completely raw, she pushed her plate to the side and ate half of my son's torta. Our waitress came by and asked if she wanted a box. We said no, she didn't like it and were surprised to see the meal had not been removed from our bill. Combined with having empty chip containers and glasses for over half our meal with our waitress nowhere in sight, after more than 15 years, I think I'm done. read more

This place is really great. The service is good, the food is wonderful, and the atmosphere is nice. There're really great veg and vegetarian options here which I love. The only thing is that during dinner time this place is super busy, and on Friday nights it is PACKED. I mean they can't help that though, people must really want to spend Friday night at Reyna's. Other Mexican places are quick stop and eats(if you like that to each is own) but for reynas a family oriented place, they are really good at making you feel at home. I was recently there last week with a group of friends and I had a great experience, not just for the food but the service was amazing as well! The young man with glasses....Julian, was giving us great service and was very nice and attentive to everything we needed!
